Even though my Dad was only with you a short while, the care he received was outstanding. The room was clean and comfortable, but the staff were so friendly, welcoming and nothing too much trouble. My father was in a nursing bed and was treated at the end with the most care and respect from the staff. Thank you to all for your care and support, especially the deputy nurse and your staff upstairs.

My Mum has Alzheimer's and was experiencing many falls at home. Brooklands Care Home provides a safe caring home for my Mum. The home is clean, the food is excellent and all the staff are amazing! They are so caring and kind, even the kitchen staff bringing the tea and biscuits know my Mum's name and stop and speak to her. My Mum is happy and safe in their care. Special mention to the Activities Organiser who organises Bingo and many other activities for the residents (and their visitors) to participate.

From the initial call and visit to Brooklands, I felt enormous relief that we had made the right decision. They assisted us so efficiently and with such kindness. From maintenance to management, nothing was too much trouble and although my mum was only there for a short time before she passed away, I felt like she was part of a bigger family who helped her with great dignity and respect. I cannot thank them enough.

I cannot thank all the staff enough for their care and attention they gave my mum during her stay.

Sadly, she passed away after a short time, but all the staff from the management, nursing team, maintenance service and the chefs were all so caring - nothing was too much trouble. You are all brilliant.

Overall Experience

Brooklands Care Home is clean, bright and welcoming. The staff are always cheerful and work hard at meeting the needs of residents. Our relative is well cared for and content with her surroundings. We have participated in several fundraising events and are somewhat disappointed that money raised is not all gone to the resident's fund. Apparently, some has to be given to HC One charity fund. This impacts the budget for activities which seems to be very mean, hopefully, this can be rectified.

The manager and team of Brooklands take their jobs to the next level in the care, compassion and support shown to residents and their families.
My mum is determined to stay at home but at times this is physically impossible and periods of respite and rehabilitation are crucial to her current needs.

Thank you Brooklands, you do a wonderful job.

My Sister was a resident at Brooklands for 6 1/2 years. During that time she was cared for wonderfully in all departments. The staff were efficient, caring, helpful and most of all loving. I'm extremely grateful to everyone past and present. They became as family to my Sister and myself. Thank you all.

My wife is immobile and limited to her bed. Unable to take part in activities, staff are extremely understanding and considerate, nothing is too much trouble for them. Always giving immediate attention to any requests made.
Manageress very friendly and helpful and efficient.

My wife is dairy free food and drinks so careful consideration is given to this condition by kitchen staff and all involved.

My mother came to Brooklands for end of life care, 18 months and my mum has improved and is doing really well. This is down to the management and care staff for their dedication to their role and for truly caring.
I would highly recommend Brooklands for anyone looking for the best possible care in the area.

A fantastic team.

Everyone at Brooklands are so friendly and helpful not only to residents but also to their families.

The staff are so dedicated, when we had all that bad weather and snow and ice not one member of staff called in sick, everyone made the effort to get themselves into work which says it all.

Living 100 miles away from Grimsby and my Aunt in Brooklands has been a difficult time for the 8 months she was resident there. However, all the staff have been incredibly kind and caring, keeping me informed constantly of every health occurrence and progress in my Aunt's life. She was loved, cared for and respected and as happy as she could be with all these lovely people. Sadly her continued fight for life ended early this month. Again it was dealt with, with dignity and competence. These people are the finest you can hope for.

The staff are friendly, mostly approachable and seem to genuinely care for residents. They appear to have an excess of paperwork to complete which is time-consuming. For the main part, Mum felt safe which was very important to us. The place was extremely clean with no smells (which I half expected) lots of entertainment providing stimulation. Thank you for a good experience of care homes. We wouldn't hesitate to return if needed.

My partner was diagnosed with PSP a very progressive form of Parkinson's. I tried several homes before settling on Brooklands. The manageress and most of the staff were very supportive at my very stressful time. The manageress made sure all mine and my partner's concerns were priority, could not fault her, or her staff. Unfortunately, my partner was moved to Leicester.
