I would like to express how Brooklands in Grimsby made my sister so nice and supported her in all needs, care, love, and made her so happy. They made her feel like her home. I cannot show how grateful and thankful and respect we have for all staff including the cook, cleaning, housekeeper. All staff here, all brilliant.

I am extremely pleased with the care and attention given to my aunt during the covid19 pandemic. It has been a great source of comfort to me that she has been happy and well looked after at Brooklands. Well done to everyone for keeping the home, residents and staff virus-free throughout. Thank you for keeping me informed about my aunt's health and wellbeing throughout. You all deserve a 'pat on the back', Thank you.

My mother-in-law was fast-tracked for palliative care into Brooklands. I can honestly say for the last 2 weeks of her life, in Brooklands care home, the staff and carers were extremely nice. It was very difficult not being able to go inside because of covid but they really went out of their way especially one member of staff, to make sure Mum could see her family on either video calls and window slots. This we as a family, all appreciated right through until the end. They all were very caring and obliging to us and Mum towards the end of her life. We as a family, thank you so much. Carry on the good work guys.

I just want to say a massive thank you to all the staff that have looked after my grandad, he spoke highly of all the staff and very highly of the food he was served. In his words 'the food is a la carte - I'm very well fed'.

I also want to thank the staff for enabling him to WhatsApp me a video it's been so god to see him face to face rather then just speaking to him on the phone, and with him not being able to have the technology at home it's been great to see him. Once again thank you so much.

My dad had been resident at Brooklands for over three years and passed away there on Sunday evening. The staff have taken time to get to know dad and his likes, dislikes, his moods (which haven’t always been great) but most importantly they have taken time to see the small changes in him that indicate he may be unwell, staff at Brooklands soon became tuned into dad and this allowed them to care for him in the best possible way. I was devastated when only a few weeks ago Brooklands went into “lockdown” but I know why that needed to be done keeping all residents and staff free from Covid-19. In dad’s last few days at Brooklands he was treated with all the care and dignity we could wish for. The staff not only cared for dad but for the family as well making sure we were kept informed about his care and making sure that we were supported too. My dad’s “Girls” looked after him like the true angels they are right to the end. We will be eternally grateful to all the staff at Brooklands.

My mother had a very exciting and well-travelled life, she travelled the globe in the fading years of the British Empire. She was a very independent lady who had cared for others all her life and deserved to end her days in comfort and security. Brooklands' staff provided the sort of all-round 24/7 care and support that we as a family could not. Dementia took hold latterly and the patience and understanding that her carers displayed was heartening to behold. This level of caring gave our family the confidence that we had made the right decision in choosing Brooklands for Mum's 99th year. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving my Mum the best care that she could wish for as she passed away peacefully.

My Mum is the most special person in my world along with my beautiful wife. I didn't think it would be possible to find people who cared for her as much as me. But seemingly at Brooklands, this has been the case. Sadly I can't name names, but you all know who you are and in fact, that's each and everyone I've met...you are all wonderful. On behalf of my wife, brothers and myself, we can't thank you enough for the love and care you have shown my Mum and also the lovely way you have accommodated us all. Thank you.

I would like to put the minds at ease of those relatives who are thinking of putting a loved one in a home.
What a difficult decision! The Brooklands looked after my Dad with the utmost respect, I cannot fault the care and service provided.
Obviously there had been massive improvements recently and the care and end of life care my dad received was excellent. Also, all the family were also catered for, which in a difficult time was much appreciated. I am a registered nurse and therefore was extra critical of the staff.

Do not hesitate to bring a loved one here to be cared for.

My father was admitted to Brooklands over a week ago, as my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer in April. As the months passed and my fathers conditioned worsened, we made the decision that it would be in his best interest to go into Brooklands. I remember having the conversation with him prior to him going. My father was a proud man but he knew we could not cope without more help, so he said that he trusted me to make the right decision. I am so glad that I agreed for him to go here. All the staff are genuinely nice caring people and my father was treated with dignity, respect and compassion from day one. The nurses were amazing and often worked over their shifts to support me and my dad in his final days but like I said, all of the staff were amazing. The rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean and my dad always looked comfortable, clean etc. It was a real comfort to me that my dad was so well looked after towards the end, it is something that will stay with me forever.

If you ring the bell for attention, it usually takes a while before someone comes.

After meals, it would be nice for diners hands and mouths to be wiped, also the table in rooms where people eat in their room, who wipe food off their wheelchairs, definitely down the side of the chair cushions.

I cannot say how lucky we were for our Dad to stay in such a lovely caring home. The staff went out of their way to make sure he was well looked after and their caring nature towards my Dad and my family went way above their roles and our expectations. He loved the staff and banter and could not have passed in a more dignified manner. The flower at the end was very moving. The deputy nurse and all the staff really showed they cared throughout his stay.
