Brooklands Care Home is set in a lovely residential area just outside Grimsby. It is a purpose-built care home offering residential and nursing care to older people and people living with dementia. It also provides care to people on End of Life Care and care for young people with physical disabilities, whether for long or short term care.

Brooklands Care Home is a warm, friendly home that prides itself on its excellent reputation for providing exceptional care and support to its residents, particularly for those needing end of life care.

The home is set over 2 floors and has some lovely areas for residents to socialise with family and friends. There is also a coffee shop, a hairdressing salon and treatment room and a lovely, sunny garden room overlooking the beautiful enclosed garden where residents also love to spend time.

The home also prides itself on providing fresh home cooked meals from the dedicated chefs and urges everyone to eat, celebrate and plan special occasions together in a homely setting.

Very friendly, well-trained staff, always welcoming and really couldn't do enough.
Facilities 1st class, clean, warm and comfy.
Only wish my mother could have been able to move to this lovely place sooner.

My Mum is the most special person in my world along with my beautiful wife. I didn't think it would be possible to find people who cared for her as much as me. But seemingly at Brooklands, this has been the case. Sadly I can't name names, but you all know who you are and in fact, that's each and everyone
I've met...you are all wonderful. On behalf of my wife, brothers and myself, we can't thank you enough for the love and care you have shown my Mum and also the lovely way you have accommodated us all. Thank you.

My friend was very happy on the occasions she stayed at Brooklands. This is where she chose to spend her last weeks of life. She was very well looked after and always said it was beautiful food.

I would like to put the minds at ease of those relatives who are thinking of putting a loved one in a home.
What a difficult decision! The Brooklands looked after my Dad with the utmost respect, I cannot fault the care and service provided.
Obviously there had been massive improvements recently
and the care and end of life care my dad received was excellent. Also, all the family were also catered for, which in a difficult time was much appreciated. I am a registered nurse and therefore was extra critical of the staff.
Do not hesitate to bring a loved one here to be cared for.

My father was admitted to Brooklands over a week ago, as my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer in April. As the months passed and my fathers conditioned worsened, we made the decision that it would be in his best interest to go into Brooklands. I remember having the conversation with him prior
to him going. My father was a proud man but he knew we could not cope without more help, so he said that he trusted me to make the right decision. I am so glad that I agreed for him to go here. All the staff are genuinely nice caring people and my father was treated with dignity, respect and compassion from day one. The nurses were amazing and often worked over their shifts to support me and my dad in his final days but like I said, all of the staff were amazing. The rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean and my dad always looked comfortable, clean etc. It was a real comfort to me that my dad was so well looked after towards the end, it is something that will stay with me forever.

If you ring the bell for attention, it usually takes a while before someone comes.
After meals, it would be nice for diners hands and mouths to be wiped, also the table in rooms where people eat in their room, who wipe food off their wheelchairs, definitely down the side of the chair cushions.

Staff endeavour to respond to all call bells in a timely manner, however, there are times when response times may vary due to unforeseen circumstances, which are out of our control. Thank you for your suggestion in relation to hands and face cleansing following meals. Cleansing wipes are readily available in the dining area for this purpose and staff strive to maintain our Residents dignity at all times. The home has a cleaning regime in place for all equipment such as wheelchairs, over bed tables and furniture, however, we always welcome suggestions to improve the service we provide.

The establishment is very well managed. The staff are helpful and understanding of patient problems. Always clean and tidy and well staffed. I would recommend this establishment to anyone requiring care home facilities without hesitation.

My daughter is in Brooklands. I have been to see it at different times throughout her stay and every time I have been, everyone is very helpful, thoughtful and kind. If ever I have to go into care I would choose Brooklands. Everyone is always bright and cheerful.

I cannot say how lucky we were for our Dad to stay in such a lovely caring home. The staff went out of their way to make sure he was well looked after and their caring nature towards my Dad and my family went way above their roles and our expectations. He loved the staff and banter and could not have
passed in a more dignified manner. The flower at the end was very moving. The deputy nurse and all the staff really showed they cared throughout his stay.

Even though my Dad was only with you a short while, the care he received was outstanding. The room was clean and comfortable, but the staff were so friendly, welcoming and nothing too much trouble. My father was in a nursing bed and was treated at the end with the most care and respect from the staff.

My Mum has Alzheimer's and was experiencing many falls at home. Brooklands Care Home provides a safe caring home for my Mum. The home is clean, the food is excellent and all the staff are amazing! They are so caring and kind, even the kitchen staff bringing the tea and biscuits know my Mum's name and
stop and speak to her. My Mum is happy and safe in their care. Special mention to the Activities Organiser who organises Bingo and many other activities for the residents (and their visitors) to participate.

From the initial call and visit to Brooklands, I felt enormous relief that we had made the right decision. They assisted us so efficiently and with such kindness. From maintenance to management, nothing was too much trouble and although my mum was only there for a short time before she passed away,
I felt like she was part of a bigger family who helped her with great dignity and respect. I cannot thank them enough.

I cannot thank all the staff enough for their care and attention they gave my mum during her stay.
Sadly, she passed away after a short time, but all the staff from the management, nursing team, maintenance service and the chefs were all so caring - nothing was too much trouble. You are all brilliant.

Lisa is Brooklands Care's Interim Home Manager. Lisa has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and support to elderly people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Lisa is ultimately responsible for the effective and professional running of the care home, but will allocate time to discuss any aspect of our residents' care or any problems they may be experiencing. She is keen to work closely and in partnership with our Residents, their relatives and significant others to benefit the Residents in her care. Lisa is a dynamic team leader and has an ongoing interest in professional development and career progression.
