Greenwell House

The staff are extremely friendly and treat the residents with great dignity and are more than staff, they are friends. They sit and chat with them when they have time.

I have been a visitor to Greenwell House for the past 6 years or more, and during this time I have found the staff so, so caring and friendly with all their patients as well as providing individual patience and care. First class staff. *****

The facilities are not the best but are adequate in the sense of being comfortable. I have been visiting for almost 7 years and throughout all that time, the home has always been an enjoyable place to visit, with a continued record of great care.

I could not find a better home anywhere for my mother. I would like to thank all the staff for their dedication and care.

Residents are looked after well. The staff are always pleasant, obliging and when visiting are always made most welcome.

My relative came to Greenwell House after a spell in hospital and an NHS home. He has Parkinsons Disease and has been treated with the utmost respect since his arrival. The way the home is set up suited my relation as he is encouraged to participate in the life of the home despite his illness. His sense of humour is encouraged and reciprocated by staff. He has thrived in the friendly homely atmosphere.

Fantastic care, albeit my grandmother, was unfortunately only there for a short period of time.

Once her stay began, she received excellent care. All the staff introduced themselves and were very attentive. Unfortunately, my mother's stay was very short due to ill health but the dignity the staff showed her and the thoughtfulness to me as a relative was exemplary I cannot thank the staff enough.

All the staff are very welcoming whenever we visit. They are very supportive of the resident's wife (my friend) and always willing to answer any queries. The staff have a lovely manner with the residents we visit, respecting and treating him with dignity while conversing in a cheerful and encouraging manner.

It's a good home and I am very pleased there was a room available for my husband. We could not have found a better place.

This is the third occasion in which our family have used Greenwell House on a long-term basis. As before, the service was excellent, the rooms, bedding etc. spotless and the staff are extremely kind and helpful and because the Care Home is small, it has a lovely, large family home feel.

My father was a resident at Greenwell House when he required nursing care. The care and attention he received during this time was exemplary. Each and every one of the staff were kind, considerable and respectful toward him. He was very well cared for in terms of his medical needs, but more than this, the staff took the time to talk to him and to get to know something about him, his background, his family and his life. This was bourne out of genuine interest for him and a desire to engage with him as a person. The family are extremely grateful to all the staff are Greenwell House for the kindness and support during what was a difficult time.

Although my aunt was a resident for two weeks, the care provided was excellent. All staff were extremely friendly and made my aunts stay very comforting. Would highly recommend this nursing home.

I have previously reviewed Greenwood House but following the death of my brother who was a resident there I felt that I must comment on the wonderful end of life nursing care that he received, the warmth and kindness of the nursing staff was something I could not have imagined, they supported us as a family and gave my brother the very best care he could have received. Greenwell House really is a special place and every member of the team deserves a huge pat on the back. Many thanks

The manager, senior staff, carers and all staff involved in the home are very welcoming and approachable and the highest standard of care is provided. It has a lovely homely atmosphere and I am always at ease when I go home each day after visiting and we couldn't have made a better choice. My family and myself would certainly recommend Greenwell House to anyone requiring a care/nursing home.
