Each and every member of staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. My mum moved here in July 2022 to receive end-of-life care. The home was identified by the NHS, but I couldn't have found anywhere better: I have no worries about the care mum receives. My mum is comfortable and in no pain, due to the quality of nursing and carer support she receives. She looks clean and well cared for when I visit - every 2 days - and she has a pleasant and nicely furnished room, which is always clean. Mum says she likes her carers and they are kind to her. Mum can't access other facilities as she is now bedbound, but my observations are that the restaurant menus look tempting and smell lovely, and there are plenty of activities available for residents. Staff are genuinely welcoming and supportive to relatives, and communicate well with me, updating me on mum's health as needed. I think Mum's unit manager has built a passionate and skilled team who are all positive about their role. I hear lots of laughter, which is lovely.

Jane, who is a trained nurse, brings with her over 20 years of leadership experience in mental health and dementia care services.

Jane’s appointment comes at a pivotal time, as the UK care home sector is currently navigating major political changes, rising demand for luxury and specialised facilities, and persistent financial and workforce pressures.
Jane joins Mulberry Court from her recent role as Operations Manager at a national care organisation, where she successfully led multidisciplinary teams and improved outcomes across a portfolio of specialist care homes.Stacy Nicholson, North & North East Regional Director said: “We’re delighted to welcome Jane to the Barchester Healthcare team.”
