The older carers and some of the younger ones are very good. But some of the younger carers are not good. They are casual and offhand and inclined to treat residents who are questioning them like naughty children.

The staff were very caring, friendly and funny throughout my mother's stay. They have totally changed my father's opinion of care homes. They welcomed him and helped him cope, which was also very important. The 'Lady's Days' was magnificent and enabled my mam to have a dance with my sister. In the last few hours, my mam was never left to be alone, which was comforting.
All the staff were excellent and a big thank you to one care assistant in particular.

Thank you does not express our gratitude enough.

My grandma is happy at this home, we feel content with her care by staff as the carers and nurses work extremely hard every day for the residents and this does show. I did have an issue that I raised with someone higher than care staff but never heard any word back, I brought it up with care staff and it was handled immediately so cannot fault the girls one bit, they're amazing !! Love the decor (rooms look like houses which is nice) and the weekly activities which my grandma enjoys participating and so do we if we are visiting.

Since residing in the home my brother has settled well. I am very pleased with standards kept. Staff are lovely and friendly, helpful with any queries the family might have. The food is wonderful and he is well fed. He is kept clean and tidy. His clothes laundered well and any medical conditions are dealt with speed. His room and ensuite are kept to a high standard and is well located with a lovely outlook. All in all pleased with 5-star care.

My mother in Law is 104 years old today! The staff at Craigielea have pulled all the stops out for her birthday including balloons galore, a speciality card and flowers and a singer in the lounge. They all treat her well with respect and love. We live away and know she is cared for well when we are not here. We trust Craigielea to care for a very precious lady.

In the first month of our Mam residing in Craigielea she is thriving, her physical and mental health needs are being met in ways which are above and beyond our expectations. Mam is happy and interacting with both other residents and staff. We, as a family, have been very concerned about our mother and in just one month we are finally able to visit our mother and chat to her without worrying. Thank you everyone. PS. I love her room.

The staff at this care home are lovely, not only with my husband's needs but supportive to me and my family in a stressing and emotional time excepting the fact he required this nursing care for his condition.

Their job at times is not easy but they are efficient, professional and most importantly caring.

It is also nice to see residents sitting in the garden grounds enjoying the fresh air in lovely surroundings.

I am very pleased with the level of care given to my mother (90 years old, suffering from dementia and various physical problems). Staff are friendly and good-humoured but also very much 'on the job' eg. the building and grounds are clean and tidy, food and drinks are well prepared and clients/residents are well looked after re. personal hygiene etc. Also - activities are made available to residents. All together - no complaints at all.

PS. I worked in the NHS 'til I retired recently, therefore, I know about 'good care'.
