It is very nearly 3 years since we decided and move my wife into Allan Court our decision was not taken lightly and it was only after a great deal of research that we made our choice. This is not the first occasion that I have spoken of the high standards of this home. I am impressed with the levels
of tolerance shown by all of the staff, given often the difficult circumstances in which they work. I do not hesitate in recommending this safe and happy place for a loved one.

My mother has been a resident for 9+ years. Her care has been very good. The current manager has made exceptional changes to the care home, all for the better. She deals with issues promptly and efficiently. On occasions, there does not seem enough staff upstairs, staff seem very rushed. The care home
has been redecorated to a high standard and is clean and odour free.

My aunt was in Allan Court for respite, November 2019. The excellent care and loving support she received from all members of staff was first class. Nothing was too much trouble. The home is run to a very high standard with a lot of varied activities and events. The meals are plentiful and enjoyable.
All staff are very friendly and helpful with all residents and their families/friends/visitors.
A big thank you to everyone. I would 100% recommend Allan Court.

My mother went into Allan Court for respite care. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Her room was very comfortable with an en-suite bathroom. Food was excellent and at times too much for her to finish. She would have loved to have joined in with the dancing but does not have much mobility
in her legs. All in all, a very pleasant stay for her and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Allan Court.

My mother was admitted temporarily into Allan Court at which time I was afraid, having heard negative reviews on many care homes. I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. The team at Allan Court care for their residents as they would their own family member, it's a comfortable, clean care home
with their philosophy based on ensuring residents are socialized on a daily basis. The social aspect has benefited my mother immensely. The carers are always smiling and full of fun, nothing is too much trouble.
The catering is of a good standard and again, this has benefited my mother due to her weight issues from forgetting to eat when she lived alone.
The home itself has a pleasant decor which makes everyone feel welcome, it's always lovely and warm and there is always a cup of tea for everyone who visits.
As I live far away, I now have peace of mind that my mam is being cared for in the correct manner.

My mother went to live in Allan Court due to advanced dementia (wandering at night). Initially, she was in the lower ground floor level which was excellent. She died August 2019 on the nursing floor. End of life care by staff was excellent.

The care my friend receives is second to none. He refers to Allan Court as his home. He gets the best of care and attention when he is poorly and is well looked after on a daily basis. The home is clean and tidy and bright and welcoming, has loads of events and activities and brilliantly decorated special
days/time of year.

My mum has been resident at Allan Court for nearly 4 years. I cannot express in words what a fantastic run home this is. The staff are exceptional i.e. Caring, thoughtful and nothing too much trouble with unending patience they make visitors at ease and so welcome. The manager does a great job at running

I have seen my friend change for the better since her admission. Obviously well cared for and the staff are all very friendly and helpful.
I have been to visit her but nor actually seen all the care given but I am impressed how well she is doing and how happy she seems. Her room is always clean and

I find Allan Court very clean and the decor is beautiful. My father is well cared for and very content in Allan Court. The cleanliness is of a very high standard and the staff are helpful and friendly. I have peace of mind while my father is being cared for in Allan Court.

My dad has recently passed away and we are greatly impressed at the standard of care he received. He was really loved by the staff who attended to his every need. Nothing was too much trouble. At the end of their shift, they all came to say their goodbyes and were very upset that they wouldn't see him
again.
The standard of care, help and love he received was second to none. Would definitely recommend this home.

Care staff are attentive and try very hard to make residents feel that they are valued and are able to keep as much of their independence as possible whilst keeping them safe.
Access to visiting residents is very good and staff will readily accommodate meals around visitors, visitors are made to feel
welcome and hospitality is always offered.
The range of activities is designed to be inclusive and all residents are encouraged to take part. Possible additional storage could be offered in patients' ensuite facilities for toothpaste etc.

My experience at Allan Court care home has been outstanding. With caring staff who listen to any problems, you may be having.
The standards of the care home are clean and maintained every day. The food is at a high standard. All in one, my health and safety has been looked after at a very high standard.

I started my care journey 23 years ago, as a 17-year-old carer here in Allan Court!!!
I have attended University and have degrees in Health and Social Care and in Healthcare Practice.
I have many years of care home experience, along with working in hospital and GP settings and working across the country in forensic roles.
I have worked hard to get to where I am today. I am very passionate about what I do, and I strive to achieve the best.
I am very proud to say I am now the home manager of Allan Court. I now feel like I am back to where I belong.
