I'm very pleased with the way my husband is being cared for. He is getting suitable food and he eats it. He is clean and tidy and is settled. The staff are helpful and make me welcome each time I go.

Rooms in need of redecorating soon. The staff are all very helpful and caring. My father has no complaints with the meals provided and has gained a little weight since arriving at Chichester Court which is good news. Although we do not want to see our father in care but have no choice due to his needs, Chichester Court is certainly looking after him adequately.

My dad was moved into Chichester Court Care Home four weeks ago. Although I was very hesitant at first, Dad seems to have settled in well.

My only criticism would be that residents are dressed in other residents' clothes which is unsettling and undignified. I have gone through Dad's clothes and put his room number in. Other than that everything seems to be going ok.

My father has been at Chichester Court Care Home for over five years now and has been very well looked after and cared for - the staff love him and have a close relationship with him which has been much appreciated by all of our family. This has been an absolutely dreadful year due to Covid-19 but we have been kept well informed about my father, and my mother has been able to visit when permitted to do so. The staff have been extremely kind and helpful to my mother as well which has helped her tremendously. Everyone has had to abide by the strict rules and regulations set in place but it is a small price to pay in order to be able to see my father in person once again. I have to say that it is not only the carers and the nursing staff who are so very kind and loving but the staff behind the scenes in the office and administration are superb. I have had to contact them more regularly than normal during Covid and their help, kindness and communication has been amazing.

Staff go out of their way to help. Care reviews take place every month. There is a doctor visit every week that deals with issues that arise and there is always an RMN on each shift. The only thing lacking us there is no activities coordinator so activities are non-existent at the moment. They have dealt well with COVID.

My father-in-law has been in Chichester Court since December 2018 the care has always been of the highest standard with all the management and staff showing care, support for everyone around the family. This was even more shown when we had a family party/get together for the 68th Wedding Anniversary they made the day very special in every way. The excellent support we were treated with care in such a way we will never forget "excellent in every way". Thank you.

Mum was with you for a very short period of time and we would have liked you to have known Mum before she passed away in her better days.
You made us all feel very welcome and you made Mum very comfortable in Mum's last days. She was treated with dignity throughout her stay and our views were taken into account at every turn.

We can't thank you enough for everything you did for us and Mum.

I cannot fault the staff at the home. My mother was only with the home for a short amount of time and the staff did everything to make her stay and her passing easy to handle. They made the family welcome when visiting and looked after us all in Mum's last days.

Mam's care at Chichester Court is excellent. She is constantly monitored and treated with respect and compassion. All of the staff are friendly and attentive to her needs. It has given me peace of mind to know that her care is their paramount objective and I don't have to worry that she is at risk. They also make me feel welcome when I visit and engage in conversation. I know mam is in the best place for her wellbeing and I am very happy that all of her needs are being met.

Review from J L (Daughter of Resident) published on 25 October 2017 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My dad was admitted to hospital on 21st September, after my daughter and I insisted that he was seen by a doctor. He had not eaten/drank for 4 days (this was not the first time he had to be hospitalised for the same condition). We had to press for medication to treat thrush prior to his hospital admission but this was not administered until he was in the hospital.

Considering his medical history I was not happy that action was not taken sooner and that we had to instigate the action that was taken. My father has Alzheimer's and is not aware of his surroundings or family. I cannot fault the carers, they do their very best.
