This is the best home in the North East, my mother is looked after wonderfully and is entertained all day. The food is fabulous and the staff are so kind and caring. The home is so clean and has lots of things to do.

My wife was admitted into Barchester Harton Grange Care Home in April 2022 on a six weeks respite. However, this was made permanent. At first, she was not happy there because she had never been in a home before. However, with the care and attention of the staff, she soon settled in. I do not know how
many adjectives I can use about the staff but try caring, attentive, superb and brilliant. I remember the party they put on for Her Majesty's Jubilee was excellent. It was apparent they had worked hard to achieve the occasion's success. Anybody entering this home will be pleasantly surprised. Marks for the staff out of 100 must be at least 110.

The staff who work here are fabulous they go above and beyond to help residents and relatives. Nothing is too much bother. From management, carers, kitchen, staff and cleaners. My mum is always clean and tidy. As is her room especially since a new carpet was put down. Staff keep on top of Mums washing
(I don't know how with all the other things they have to do). All questions are answered honestly when I ring Mum is brought to the phone very quickly.

My mother is very happy in Harton Grange, she is well cared for and is served nutritious meals and plenty of snacks and cups of tea. The staff are very caring and always hand if needed. It wasn't easy agreeing to my mam living in a care home but as she was no longer able to look after herself this
was the only option. I now realise this was the right decision as she is safe and contented.

Unfortunately, we only have experience of the care home during Covid so we have no experience of the day to day activities. However, my mam seems to be doing as well as we could expect with the support of the staff.

I am extremely happy with this provider. Mam is very well cared for, she is clean, well presented and well-fed. The staff are exceptional, professional, helpful, polite and sociable. My sister has been in this home since November 2017. When looking for a home for her, on my very first visit on entering the building, I felt a warm, friendly, homely feeling and knew this was the place for her - and I was right. From management, carers, chef and kitchen staff, housekeeping, laundry
and activities, everyone works as a team in a very friendly and caring way and at the same time with great respect to the residents. I am happy to leave my sister in their care.

Everything in the home is very good. Staff are excellent when I come to visit my mam. When asking for something to be done they do it (not straight away as there are other residents to see to) but you don't have to wait too long.

My mother has been a resident of Harton Grange for over two years now. The care and attention is second to none. The 'team' are led by the manager, who expects the residents to be treated as if they were their family member. Nothing is taken for granted. In your heart of hearts, you know it's the best
decision you have taken for your loved one to become a resident of Harton Grange. From the top to the bottom, the staff team work as one with the focus on the well-being of the residents.

Hi, my name is Judith, and I am General Manager here at Harton Grange.


I have worked in the care industry since 2000. I have an NVQ Level 4 in Leadership & Management and a Level 3 in End of Life Care. I am kind and compassionate and I focus on providing a safe, warm and caring environment for everyone I support.


I have extensive experience in building positive relationships and embedding the key principles of care in those I work alongside.
