Review from B C (Sister of Resident) published on 25 December 2019 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My sister has been in this home since November 2017. When looking for a home for her, on my very first visit on entering the building, I felt a warm, friendly, homely feeling and knew this was the place for her - and I was right. From management, carers, chef and kitchen staff, housekeeping, laundry and activities, everyone works as a team in a very friendly and caring way and at the same time with great respect to the residents. I am happy to leave my sister in their care.

Everything in the home is very good. Staff are excellent when I come to visit my mam. When asking for something to be done they do it (not straight away as there are other residents to see to) but you don't have to wait too long.

I am only here at the home for a short time each day but what I see is that every one of the staff is in the right job, i.e. they are caring, hard-working, kind and thoughtful. The home itself is warm and welcoming and this again is all down to the staff.

My mother has been a resident of Harton Grange for over two years now. The care and attention is second to none. The 'team' are led by the manager, who expects the residents to be treated as if they were their family member. Nothing is taken for granted. In your heart of hearts, you know it's the best decision you have taken for your loved one to become a resident of Harton Grange. From the top to the bottom, the staff team work as one with the focus on the well-being of the residents.

We looked at lots of care homes for our mam. A few of them were not suitable, 'dark' (nothing going on) etc. As soon as we entered Harton Grange, we knew this was the place. Beautiful, bright and management, care staff, activities staff can't do enough. Our mam is very happy here and we are so pleased. It is so friendly. A home from home.

My mam has settled well around staff who treat her with love and kindness. The management and staff have made the most difficult and distressing time of our (daughters) lives into a very bearable one. We always feel very welcome and very included. It is a very happy place to visit and we never feel unheard or ignored.

My mam has been in Harton Grange for nearly 5 years. She is very well looked after by the lovely management, staff - from carers to caterers, cleaners, entertainment staff etc, which gives us peace of mind. The home is immaculate and the manager runs a very good team/tight ship to ensure that all of her staff are approachable and helpful. I would not want any different for my mam.

My dad has been at Harton Grange Care Home for over 7 years and is happy there. The staff are great with him and always talk to him. Senior staff are more than happy to address any concerns or queries about him and the home will always ring me if any issues arise. My mam visits daily and she is treated with respect and care. I would recommend this home to any family who is looking for a safe and nurturing environment for their loved ones.

My mother in law suffers from dementia. Since arriving at Harton Grange, she is well looked after and cared for with dignity. The staff are wonderful and often, even when busy, make time for residents, when they require more one to one care.

The staff always have a smile on their faces when dealing with often difficult residents. The activities coordinator is also wonderful at helping them to remain active.
