My mam lives in this home, she is very happy and well cared for. The staff are very helpful and always give each resident lots of time. They always seem to be going out on trips for tea and days out. The home is very clean bright and cheerful. The staff really do care about the residents. My mam has
a sea view room and the lounges all have views across the bay. They are amazing and she spends lots of time watching the world go by. Mam says the food is really good and there are lots of fruit and snacks in the lounge which people can help themselves to.

I went with my Dad to visit his mum today - it's Mother's Day - all the residents in the lounge with my nanna at Falstone Manor looked so well and happy. There was lots of staff helping everyone and they were very kind and polite. We had just missed lunchtime but everyone said the dinner was a lovely
roast with fresh veg and lovely roasties just what nanna used to make for us. All the whole place was bright happy and cheerful. We sat and watched lots of people on the beach and nanna told us about how she watches the people everyday. This is a lovely place.

The staff are lovely and always helpful - the manager is always out and about chatting to residents and families which is really nice. All the residents in grans lounge look so well cared for. Falstone
Manor is clean bright and the housekeeper on my grans floor takes such pride in all the rooms looking nice. Thank you for looking after my Gran so well.

Lovely home my mother in law likes it here. The staff are very kind and caring and attentive, she says she has everything she needs here!
The home is well staffed they all seem well trained and very helpful. We are always made very welcome. Sometimes we have to wait a while for the front door to be
opened outside office hours but I would rather this than know that people can just access the building at anytime. Keep up the great standards and thank you everyone at Falstone Manor

The nurses in this home are very good and the carers are very caring, kind and attentive, they really do care and show kindness. The home is clean, bright and does not smell at all. The manager is very helpful and gets things sorted out straight away if you ask for anything to be done. There is always
lots of trips and activities going on which my sister-in-law loves. If you are looking for quality nursing care this home is excellent, with professional nurses, quality care, great food and picture perfect location.

Fabulous place my mother has been here for some time but the whole place has changed in the last few months. It's far more settled and calm with regular staff and the new manager is always available if you need anything. My mum says she enjoys the food and trips on the bus. The staff all seem very kind
and more organised and happier, there seems to be a lot less agency staff. The location of the home is fabulous and the residents often walk out on the prom with the staff. Everyone say the home is truly homely and I feel this when I go in.

When my mam first came to the care home she has lost a lot of confidence in moving about and mixing with others. The staff at Falstone Manor encourage her to do things and interact with them and other residents. She is now more confident and happier since she became a resident and takes part in most
activities.

My mum lived in Falstone Manor and she is so well cared for. We attended a care review with her social worker and care finder and we were all so impressed. She is so well cared for and happy, the home has really picked up recently. The whole team seem to take the lead from the new manager and things
are so settled and good, communication with us has improved too. There is a lot less agency staff which is really good for the staff and residents. Keep it up please.

My mum moved to Falstone only 1 week ago. She was very poorly, under-weight and had grade 4 bedsores. In the short time she has been in here, it is like she is a new woman. she is getting the care she needs. All staff are lovely and go out of their way to ensure my mum is happy - I can't thank the staff
enough for getting my mam back to her usual self.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.743)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.743) out of 10 for Falstone Manor Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 17 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 17 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.818 for Falstone Manor Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (168 Excellents x 5) + (24 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 198 Ratings = 4.818
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.925 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Falstone Manor Care Home is based on 17 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.925
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 51 registered maximum number of service users is 10.2, which has been reached with 17 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
