My husband is settled. He has come a long way since being in Falstone Manor. He has achieved goals that he wasn't expected to achieve.

Firstly let me start with the staffing of the second floor which my mam is a resident on. For the ratio of people I personally don't feel there are enough carers. The staff work under so much pressure to assist every resident with their needs but 2 carers is not enough.

I am very lucky that I can be with my mam quite a lot but I feel really sorry for the other residents. Food is not as good as it used to be, there is a book outside of the dining room saying what the meals are but it never matches what the residents have, not a great choice of meals like it used to be.

My husband was a resident in the Falstone Manor Care Home so that I could have a break.
He suffers from Parkinson's leaving movement very difficult. His memory is bad and can cause him to have mood swings. He is unaware of the time of day and often has problems sleeping at night. He also suffers from hallucinations.
Many of my friends visited and they always found my husband clean and tidy. The staff were very patient and caring at all times.

The building was very clean and quiet. I would be happy for my husband to reside there again.

My Step-father was moved from hospital to Falstone Manor (FM) for palliative care, at the end of his life. Staff at FM have shown him great kindness and respect, to me and his family too. My Step-father has been well looked after. He is clean and comfortable. All better than when he was in hospital to be honest. My sincere thanks to the kind, cheerful and responsive staff on the first floor who do a difficult tough job so very well.

My 88 year old mother moved in November this year.
Since moving in, she is engaging with staff and residents really well.
Surroundings are immaculate. The food is variable and plentiful with plenty of activities and weekly outings. Senior staff are available at all times, including managers.

Very efficient and well run. The care staff are a credit to the company.

My nanna loves it here the staff are brill and very nice to all the residents! Nurses are always on duty and look after nanna really well. We love visiting her as we are made very welcome. The staff take nanna on to the sea front for fish and chips which she loves. We stayed with residents and staff for the Airshow it was amazing and we were all cared for all day as well. Thank you team, you are so kind and helpful.

Lovely friendly staff. Caring is natural to them and it shows in the pride they have in the home and the way they care. The food looks amazing and is always fresh hot and lots of it. The residents can have whatever they want. The manager and deputy manager always seem to be around to answer our questions and help the staff too! I would recommend this home as its outstanding care in an outstanding location. This is the second relative we have had in this home and it gets better all the time.

Falstone Manor is an outstanding home. My friend has been a resident there for about 5 years and the home has changed so much. The manager has improved standards here so much. The staff are caring and skilled, kind and really do know the residents well. Everyone treated with dignity and compassion and the home doesn't smell at all.

On entering Falstone Manor & being greeted warmly by the manager I just knew my friend had found her home away from home. The atmosphere was peaceful, professional, yet with an appropriate amount of fun, to lift a persons day. Helpful staff who truly cared for those in their capable hands. It was clear that it was a well run ship, sorry for the pun, as the home is so close to the sea front, with really excellent views & bracing walks. My friend tells me that the social side really treats them as "normal" & not as someone with an illness. Thank you Falstone staff for the great job you are doing. I hope to visit again real soon.
