My husband moved into Needham Court Nursing Home on the 16th of May 2024. He has settled very well and is very happy. This is due totally to the dedication and care given by every member of staff. The home manager should be very proud of the way they make everyone feel like they are living in a home
from home. The staff also takes the whole family into account and make everyone very welcome and comfortable visiting.

I have found all the care staff, manager and the whole team who work at Needham Court. Excellent at their job, they are all caring, supportive, efficient and very helpful if asked a question. They work with residents' families and learn about the person who they look after.
I have been very impressed
with the overall running, cleanliness and care of all the staff and management. They deserve top marks for their overall performance.

Warm, welcoming home, where everyone is friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. Always kept up to date with the care of our dad. Feels like a second home, somewhere he is settled, which is a huge relief.
Love how the home is always decorated for every occasion - the effort that goes into things
is fantastic - well done to all.

My mother received a wonderful, warm and friendly welcome. She was greeted by various members of staff, such as the chef who asked if she had any likes or dislikes, head of laundry labelled and listed her clothes straight away. There were flowers, a cute cushion and best of all the carers reassured
her they were there to help in any way needed. Mum is enjoying her meals in the pleasant dining room, meeting others and doing lots of activities.

My mother-in-law has been in Needham Care Home for a number of months now due to her having strokes and being unable to live at home alone. I'm writing this review on behalf of myself, her son and her daughter. We want to thank all of the staff for everything they do for her, making her feel so welcome.
The staff are so friendly here and always make time for their residents. They have lots of different events on in the home to get the residents to socialise with each other and have fun. They always make such a good effort for special celebrations throughout the year with decorations and having raffles etc. It's not an easy job so I want to thank each and every one of you for all that you do in making my mother-in-law feel safe, welcome and loved.

Upon arriving to the home I was given a nice warm welcome. Everyone was kind and friendly. There was a lovely atmosphere with smiles on everyone's faces which was lovely to see. The staff were very upbeat and lifted the mood of everyone in the room; laughing, singing and we even had some dance moves
thrown in!

The Manager was very professional but also very friendly and knowledgeable when asked questions about the facilities.

Such a happy place to be and I would recommend to anyone!

My sister has been in this home for almost 10 years, she has been very well looked after and seems very happy. She doesn't talk much but seems very contented. Won't go out now not even in the garden, think she feels safe indoors. I cannot fault the staff, so caring and always friendly. Go above and
beyond in the loving care they provide. So very grateful to know she is happy and safe, wonderful.

Dad is here on respite and has been made very welcome by all staff on arrival. On one visit Dad was not wearing his own clothes. On looking at his room, I would prefer a wingback there for him to sit in. Dad said the food was good and seems to get on with all staff very well.

My father is on respite at the moment, when admitted he prides himself on being well dressed. On one occasion we visited, he was wearing none of the clothes we supplied. We visited his room and found there to be no water jug or glass in his room and also he was sitting in a chair which was very uncomfortable
looking for him. I asked if he could have a wingback chair in his room in case he wanted to nap. I think the care he is being shown is very good but requires a bit of prompting.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.639)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.639) out of 10 for Needham Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 23 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.639 for Needham Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (242 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) + (4 Poors x 2) + (19 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 274 Ratings = 4.639
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Needham Court Care Home is based on 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 57 registered maximum number of service users is 11.4, which has been reached with 21 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
