from the moment my mum arrived at the home she and my brother and sister were cared for and supported in everyway possible From refreshment to hands on care for mum nothing was to much trouble. We were only there for a week but we were cared for so well.
Positive - the staff were al very kind and thoughtful - nothing was too much trouble - great laundry service lovely garden space.
Negative - food was very variable - range from excellent to just ok. Rooms basic poor bedding. Building + rooms need upgrade - very functional not cosy.
My uncle Gordon was well cared for and the staff were always kind, polite and understanding.
A warm, welcoming and professional service from all members of staff.
My grandfather spent three weeks at Tollesby Hall Care Home and the standard of care was very poor. Staffing levels were inadequate, and he was left waiting over 30 minutes for help with basic personal care. His health and hygiene declined noticeably, and he developed a urine infection that was not acted on promptly, despite concerns being raised earlier by physiotherapy staff. I was also given incorrect information about his medication by the senior nurse, which raised serious concerns about clinical oversight. Communication from management was inconsistent, and after submitting a complaint I received no meaningful response. Moving him out was the best decision, and I would not recommend this care home based on our experience.
Mum was at the home for 8 months from hospital to passing away. During that time she was well cared for and got on well with staff. Food was not always to her liking but she never went hungry. She was allowed posessions from home and to make the room her own with wall hangings, photos and smarts speaker. At E.O.L she was very well attended and the staff helped us through that difficult time. I am satisfied with the service provided.
We are very pleased to hear that she was well cared for and that she built positive relationships with our staff. It is important to us that residents...
My Dad was in Tollesby hall for a short time. All the staff were amazing. The care he received was outstanding. We as a family were also well supported. The nurses listened to us and we're proactive. The healthcare assistants were amazing. Went above and beyond on every shift. Housekeeper was very supportive and my Dad loved seeing her. My Dad obviously wanted to be home, but the support from staff helped him accept he where he was safe. His food was fabulous. I can't find any fault with Tollesby hall. You should be proud of the staff. We will remember your care, compassion, commitment, courage communication and competence. Thankyou once again. My daughter was in Tollesby Hall Care Home for a very short time. But the time she spent there was very good, the staff were very caring, and the food was very nice and there was good variety. The home was very clean and my daughter liked to sit in the garden which was very nice. She was very happy the time she was there.
The staff were all very caring and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble, even though my husband was only with them for a short time they showed compassion to him and also to his family. They were also very quick in noticing any health changes in him and acted quickly to that. The staff were always very pleasant and the home itself was very clean, warm and welcoming.

Meet the Team (1)

My name is Ginita, I am married with three children and 10 grandchildren. I started my care journey as a carer in a small home of 10 residents with learning disabilities for twelve years before deciding to become a nurse. I studied at Teesside University at the age of 42 and qualified as an adult nurse in 2017 with a first-class with honours.
I started my nursing career in James Cook Hospital, but knew that my passion was within the community. I have worked in care homes since 2018 and have enjoyed my journey since, learning new skills and mentoring newly qualified nurses.
I started at Tollesby Hall in January 2021, and I have progressed from nurse to lead nurse, then to clinical lead. I was then promoted to Care Home Manager in August 2025.
I am passionate about nursing and like to feel I make a difference to residents' and families lives.
