The staff are so caring towards my mam, they can't do enough for her. Mam tells me the food is lovely, her washing is done every day. On my first visit, as I had driven a long way to see my mam, the staff were so welcoming and helpful and put my mind at ease. They answered all my questions. I can relax knowing my mam is safe and treated with respect and kindness, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Thank you.

On arriving at the care home with my brother-in-law, we were both made to feel very welcome. The home was very nice and clean. The team was very professional, cheerful and friendly. Any queries were resolved promptly.
The staff below were outstanding: Admin, Care Manager, Care Worker, Laundry Assistant

The care home exceeded our expectations! A huge thank you to the team from all the family but especially his wife for the care her husband received during the two weeks in respite.

Overall it is a good service. I find the staff to be helpful, pleasant and knowledgable. They always have time to sit and comfort residents when in need even when they are extremely busy. The management is extremely helpful too.

My mother was a resident at Tollesby Hall Nursing Home from June 2023 till 6th October 2024. I honestly cannot thank the staff enough for the care she received during her stay.
She was a character and all the staff genuinely loved her as she did them.
We couldn't have wished for our Mum to be cared for in a better place, nothing was too much trouble for them even to the point of looking after her visitors with cups of tea, biscuits even a meal if required.
I would highly recommend this home 100%

Thank you all so much from her loving son.

I was really concerned that my mother has to go into a home. We realised that her mobility had deteriorated and we were unable to give 24/7 care at home. I've come to realise that my mother is being cared for in the care home, when I see that she puts her hands up to the care staff and feel confident and happy with the staff.

Reply from Kevin Robinson-Husband, Director of Operations at Tollesby Hall Care Home

A really caring environment. The residents come first. It is not a hotel. The patients and you may have to wait your turn. My husband died here. His care was magnificent. He was treated with love, sympathy and understanding. What more do you want for your loved one?

Can't praise the home highly enough. Their care for my dad during his few months living there was brilliant. He was made to feel like a well-loved and respected resident. His last couple of weeks were made bearable thanks to the support of the whole staff team who ensured that both, myself and my stepmum were looked after.

During the time my dad stayed with you guys, we've had an excellent experience from start to finish. The way the staff bent over backwards and went out of their way to help us with everything. The staff have been very professional, courteous and caring. The support and caring received throughout my dad's time at Tollesby Hall and after his passing makes me proud and really happy to have chosen this care home for my dad's final chapter of his life. Thank you for everything you have done for us as a family.

As soon as we met all the staff we were immediately confident our Aunt was in the right place.
The care she received was above and beyond our expectations. Every single member of staff we came into contact with were friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble.
They were able to give her a ground-floor room so she could watch the birds and squirrels. We attached a bird feeder to her window which made her last days enjoyable. Even the staff loved to watch the antics of the birds and squirrels.
We were encouraged to ring any time of day or night to hear how she was doing.

They also kept in touch with us day or night too.

My Aunt was taken into Tollesby Hall after a terrible experience in hospital and how relieved we were! From the moment we met the staff we knew this was the right place for her. All the staff were extremely welcoming and made us feel relaxed. The standard of care she received went above and beyond.
They were able to give her a downstairs room facing onto the garden and trees. My husband put up a bird feeder on the window and a hanging feeder so she could watch the birds and squirrels. This gave her great pleasure in her last days.
Sadly she passed away peacefully in April and I cannot express how much support and kindness we were given at that difficult time. The staff were so compassionate.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tollesby Hall to all.

All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Tea and sandwiches were provided on arrival. We went to celebrate a resident's milestone 80th birthday. It was a happy occasion. The chef made a brilliant birthday cake with candles which was brought into the lounge and all the staff sang Happy Birthday with enthusiasm. Thank you to Tollesby Hall for providing quality time and care - well done.

Tollesby Hall has got a very welcoming and homely feel to it. Staff is very helpful and friendly, gives the place a nice atmosphere. When a better room was available, we were offered it, after we told them he loves the garden and trees. They put a bird feeder up on a window, so birds and squirrels came visiting. Our dad was well looked after and they listened and acted on all our requirements and needs. Nursing staff was extremely helpful. Thank you.

I went to Tollesby Hall Care Home every day for seven weeks and could not find any fault with the attention to my ex-husband or any fault to me, as a guest. Management was really good. Nursing staff and care personal were excellent. Would recommend the home to anyone. Thank you.

My daughter has only been at Tollesbury Hall for one month in that time we have found her to be more alert. She seems to be well cared for by the staff who seem dedicated to their work. Everyone has been very helpful. I think professional is the world to use.

Ginita DedmanJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2021

My name is Ginita, I am married with three children and 10 grandchildren. I started my care journey as a carer in a small home of 10 residents with learning disabilities for twelve years before deciding to become a nurse. I studied at Teesside University at the age of 42 and qualified as an adult nurse in 2017 with a first-class with honours.

I started my nursing career in James Cook Hospital, but knew that my passion was within the community. I have worked in care homes since 2018 and have enjoyed my journey since, learning new skills and mentoring newly qualified nurses.

I started at Tollesby Hall in January 2021, and I have progressed from nurse to lead nurse, then to clinical lead. I was then promoted to Care Home Manager in August 2025.

I am passionate about nursing and like to feel I make a difference to residents' and families lives.
