My mother was only at Tollesby Hall Care Home for 5 days before she passed away. The staff were amazing. They could not do enough for Mam. Kind, compassionate, caring and considerate. The chef tried to tempt Mam and made anything she mentioned. Every member of staff was always on hand to help, whatever
we asked for. We were so pleased Mam spent her last days within their circle of love and care.

My dad was very well cared for, everyone genuinely cared for Dads needs, wellbeing and happiness, and also for his family members. The staff were very welcoming and very supportive, always expressing an interest in how we were doing, "we are here for you too".

Sadly due to the Coronavirus situation, my uncle was transferred to Tollesby Hall from the hospital and he passed away without us being able to visit. It was a sad and difficult time. However, all the staff at the care home were kind, caring and professional. We believe that my uncle was very comfortable
and thought his room was lovely. We as a family are so grateful that he was cared for in his last few weeks and made comfortable. Obviously we are unable to comment regarding the food, drink, facilities, etc. due to the COVID pandemic we were unable to visit, but I did walk around the outside grounds which were very impressive. The staff at the care home all do an amazing job but have been through a difficult time of late but still continued to give 100% care. I would recommend Tollesby Hall to family/friends and would rate it as Excellent. Well done to the manager, and all her wonderful staff.

From the moment I took my dad to Tollesby Hall, I felt reassured that he would be cared for by genuinely kind and compassionate people. He received 24/7 care which gave my dad and myself great comfort. He received excellent medical care from the nurses and the carers were wonderful and so attentive.
They managed the stressful time during lockdown so well and always made me feel welcome as a visitor. I cannot thank them enough for their professional and caring work.

Sadly due to the Coronavirus situation, my mum was transferred to Tollesby Hall from the hospital and her life ended without us ever being able to visit her. It was possibly the worst-case scenario any family have to endure. However if you ever need to put your loved ones in the hands of truly wonderful,
caring professionals, please place them in the care of Tollesby Hall. They were with us every step of the way, standing in almost like a family to make sure mum’s last days were the best they could be, which gave us some inner peace. The 'nothing is too much trouble’ attitude that is probably above and beyond the call of duty made the heartbreak bearable, and for that, I will be eternally grateful.
Please note there are one or two elements I can’t really comment on eg food/drink as obviously I wasn’t there, but based on feelings from my mum on all areas, I can give true feedback on, I have given excellent as a rating.

My mother was transferred to Tollesby Hall from hospital after breaking her wrist at home, whilst also suffering from dementia. The staff went above and beyond caring for her, on the ball when mam was in pain and when her arm swelled with the cast. Also, correspondence via phone to me was immediate.
Nothing was a problem for the staff, the food was excellent.
We as a family more than appreciated the work and the professionalism this dedicated staff did for their Family in care.

My father was in Tollesby for two and a half years after leaving a residential home when his needs increased. He was very well looked after, well-fed and formed lovely relationships with his carers. The home surpassed itself last month whilst Dad was on end of life care - their support to us whilst
we stayed overnight at Dad's bedside for over a week was amazing. Even more importantly, their genuine affection, care and respect given to Dad in his final days touched us all, and we will always be so thankful.

I asked my husband the question. He as ha problem writing due to strokes. He has just been for the first time for a week's respite. When he came home I asked him about his week. He said he had nothing to complain about. He felt very safe and secure and well looked after. He said all the staff were wonderful.
When he pressed his buzzer they came straight away. He would have no hesitation going in again.

My mother entered the home in 2013. From day one, all of the staff were very welcoming and friendly and my sister and I were sure we had picked the right home. Mum settled in straight away and continued throughout her stay to enjoy living at the home. Sadly in the last few years, she developed dementia
and we had a couple of minor issues but after a meeting with the Manager these were quickly resolved. Mum’s care right up until her death in June this year was excellent, we could not fault the staff for the loving care and attention given to her. They assisted us with getting extra care for mum and she had a peaceful few weeks until her death. I would certainly recommend the home.

The most important part of a care home is the care itself, and the staff at Tollesby Hall are outstanding. Very sadly my father passed away during his short stay, but the support we received was excellent. We were treated with dignity, and the staff took time to talk to us to help and guide us through
a difficult time. I only wish I could call out several exceptional staff, but suffice to say everyone was compassionate and caring.

What a welcoming place to go to. Staff lovely to talk with and so helpful.
Understand fully the needs of residents (as witnessed by me when my husband was in for respite care). Everywhere was so clean and I loved the wooden/lino flooring throughout. So much more hygienic.

My aunt was a resident for three years. Despite her challenging behaviour, staff are always patient. During my aunts deteriorating health, kindness and dignity ensued. I was always made welcome and as my aunts health failed, I was kept informed and notified when the end came, ensuring I was there to

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2021

My name is Ginita, I am married with three children and 10 grandchildren. I started my care journey as a carer in a small home of 10 residents with learning disabilities for twelve years before deciding to become a nurse. I studied at Teesside University at the age of 42 and qualified as an adult nurse in 2017 with a first-class with honours.


I started my nursing career in James Cook Hospital, but knew that my passion was within the community. I have worked in care homes since 2018 and have enjoyed my journey since, learning new skills and mentoring newly qualified nurses.


I started at Tollesby Hall in January 2021, and I have progressed from nurse to lead nurse, then to clinical lead. I was then promoted to Care Home Manager in August 2025.


I am passionate about nursing and like to feel I make a difference to residents' and families lives.
