My name is Ginita, I am married with three children and 10 grandchildren. I started my care journey as a carer in a small home of 10 residents with learning disabilities for twelve years before deciding to become a nurse. I studied at Teesside University at the age of 42 and qualified as an adult nurse in 2017 with a first-class with honours.
I started my nursing career in James Cook Hospital, but knew that my passion was within the community. I have worked in care homes since 2018 and have enjoyed my journey since, learning new skills and mentoring newly qualified nurses.
I started at Tollesby Hall in January 2021, and I have progressed from nurse to lead nurse, then to clinical lead. I was then promoted to Care Home Manager in August 2025.
I am passionate about nursing and like to feel I make a difference to residents' and families lives.
