Hollie Hill Care Home is located in Stanley in County Durham. This purpose built care home provides residential, nursing and dementia care for the frail elderly and for those requiring dementia care and support. The home also offers short stays or respite care for those looking for a short break.

My father was admitted to Holly Hill in June for end of life nursing care. The care he received was first class, the rapport with the care staff and nursing staff was fantastic and made the time he had left with us special. My family and I can't thank the whole staff enough, thank you and god bless.

We had to find a care home quickly for our mam and Hollie Hill stood out from all others we looked at. We have not been disappointed - the staff are all extremely caring, friendly and hard working, the facilities and activities provided for the residents are top class and love seeing the posts on the
private social media pages. Plus mam loves the food and she is very fussy! She has settled in really well and is happy and safe, which is a great relief for us.

The staff who both care for my mam and run the facility have been fantastic under particularly testing times due to restrictions.
Everyone is friendly, goes out of there way to help and put a smile on mams face, and I really cant thank everyone enough.

The most friendly approachable, professional people with a family feel to the place. This made Dads time have cherished and I was always most welcome when visiting. The staff are very diligent and the "top of their game" in my opinion.

My mam had a recent temporary stay at Hollie Hill. She was well looked after and the family felt she was in a safe and secure environment. The home maintained high standards in all areas. There was plenty of activities planned and residents were encouraged to take part. The staff were all very nice
and always happy to help. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for care for an elderly relative.

My Mam has been in Hollie Hill Care Home for nearly 5 years she has settled in like it's her home friendly staff that do care about their residents. Plenty of activities and they strive to make improve and do more. You can keep up with the activities and information through the private social media
group which helps keep you connected to the home. Hollie Hill helped to arrange for my Mam to renew her wedding vows which was a lovely day.

My Mum always received the highest standard of care during her time at Hollie Hill Care Home I cannot commend all the staff highly enough. She was looked after with affection and felt safe and contented. She enjoyed taking part in the activities organised and they certainly helped and stimulated her
during the lockdowns. Visits were well organised, it felt like nothing was too much trouble to facilitate them. As a family we received a lot of help and kindness from everyone at Hollie Hill .

My grandma is a resident here and the care that she receives is outstanding.
I take my hat off to all the lovely ladies (and one staff member who she always talks about) that care for her! She is so content and happy and you can see by the photos uploaded and her face when you see her how happy she
is. I know how comfortable she is which gives us as a family peace of mind.
Everyone is so welcoming and caring and I wouldn’t want my grandma anywhere else!
She always has a story to tell us about one of the carers and tells us how they made her laugh and everyone is “lovely”.


Thank you to every single one of you from the bottom of our hearts.
Your care, even through the most difficult times, has been second to none and we as a family are extremely grateful.

I have had three visits since the reopening of care homes, each visit has been very well organised, the staff have been very helpful, plenty of sanitising stations available for use, plenty of PPE available. Mam is well cared for, obviously, the food is fantastic as she has put weight on. (Previously
I would find food all over the house so this is good to see).
Thank you to all the staff who have kept my mam safe during the pandemic. Can't wait until she can come out and we can walk around the street. Roll on the next stage.

I would just like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Hollie Hill. They have been caring for my grandma through this pandemic and the staff have kept her entertained throughout. They are great at keeping us informed of how she is doing and arranging video calls to see her face. Thank You.
Hollie Hill is fantastic and I highly recommend it. I’ve never seen Grandma so happy and interactive in games and activities. We can’t wait to come to visit when we’re finally allowed to.

Security is very good. The home entrance greets you with a signing in book and warm/pleasant surroundings. The home is extremely clean and tidy. The manager has an open door to anyone wishing to speak to her relating to the home. Manager and staff are very good with the residents, and will often go
above and beyond their duties to ensure the residents are happy.
