Hollie Hill Care Home

My Mum always received the highest standard of care during her time at Hollie Hill Care Home I cannot commend all the staff highly enough. She was looked after with affection and felt safe and contented. She enjoyed taking part in the activities organised and they certainly helped and stimulated her during the lockdowns. Visits were well organised, it felt like nothing was too much trouble to facilitate them. As a family we received a lot of help and kindness from everyone at Hollie Hill .

Highly satisfied with the standard of care my mother receives from the staff at Hollie Hill Care Home. The staff are all friendly and treat the residents with respect and their dedication during the pandemic cannot be underestimated.

She always has a story to tell us about one of the carers and tells us how they made her laugh and everyone is “lovely”.

Your care, even through the most difficult times, has been second to none and we as a family are extremely grateful.

Everyone is very friendly and also helpful. My mam has settled in really well.

My mothers care is absolutely outstanding throughout, not just through Covid.

My mam has been in Hollie Hill for 5 years and she has always received very good care. The staff always make time to keep you updated with any changes needed to keep my mam safe and comfortable. I will never be able to thank all the staff enough for all that they do, especially during this difficult year.

I would just like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Hollie Hill. They have been caring for my grandma through this pandemic and the staff have kept her entertained throughout. They are great at keeping us informed of how she is doing and arranging video calls to see her face. Thank You. Hollie Hill is fantastic and I highly recommend it. I’ve never seen Grandma so happy and interactive in games and activities. We can’t wait to come to visit when we’re finally allowed to.

Security is very good. The home entrance greets you with a signing in book and warm/pleasant surroundings. The home is extremely clean and tidy. The manager has an open door to anyone wishing to speak to her relating to the home. Manager and staff are very good with the residents, and will often go above and beyond their duties to ensure the residents are happy.

I really would recommend this care home, really helpful and understanding staff. My brother has been looked after in these difficult times and the staff are doing a really good job, really appreciate everything they are doing for him. Thank you.

Huge thank you to care home manager and nurse for helping my mam to ring her granddaughter and wish her a happy 30th birthday, it made her day. Mam loves celebrations, and this call made it possible. Thanks for making it happen, fab.

Just want to say thank you to all the team, everyone works very hard.

When my grandma was first taken into a care home setting, I was really worried about how she was going to cope as she’s always been able to do things in her own home and for herself up in till her stroke. Going into Holly Hill has really changed my mind on her being there; the staff are all so lovely, so caring and my grandma loves them all. This year has been extra hard with care homes closing and not been able to see loved ones, but they have gone out their way to let all my family do Facetime with her even when we don’t live together, meaning more than one call. I also cannot thank them enough for how they have helped my grandma over this last few weeks when losing my mam (her daughter) and keeping my grandma going and been able to get her to the funeral. I’ll be forever grateful to them for bringing her. Yous are all amazing.

For me, though, the outstanding feature of Hollie Hill is the staff. They are always there with a friendly smile and a kind word, even when they are obviously busy. I know from mam’s comments and from meeting the staff on visits that they really do care about the people they look after and are also quietly (ish) professional. Real stars!

If and when the time comes for you or a family member I would recommend Hollie Hill Care Home massively. My grandad sadly had a stroke and was moved to Hollie Hill after hospital. I, like most, was a bit sceptical at first and did not like the fact my grandad was not in his own home. However, due to a few slack months at work, I spent nearly as much time in the home as my grandad, haha. I found all the staff very lovely and gentle and would even consider a few of them as friends. Sadly my grandad is no longer with us, but I've got to say thank you all so much for the love and care you gave to my grandad. I am forever grateful. I can't recommend enough!

During this pandemic, I, like many others have been worried about not seeing our loved ones. The staff at Hollie Hill have been exceptional at keeping us informed and in touch. Mam has settled in really well. After only one week as a resident, the carers went the whole way to throwing her a 90th birthday celebration. Now they keep a smile on their face and carry on with the wonderful job of caring for our loved ones. This also includes manager, admin, nurses, cleaners, cooks and handypersons. A big shout out to you all.

My mam and auntie both live in Hollie Hill and are both well cared for. The staff are lovely and try their best to keep the residents in touch with their families. I live 300 miles away and try to ring and send cards to my mam. The staff are always pleasant on the phone and the residents seem very happy here.
