I think Melbury Court must be one the better nursing homes in the area. Mam has been a resident there for over four years. We have had minor problems but nothing major. Since the takeover, I have noticed minor differences. At the present time, I would say the previous care owners were better. It maybe
initial that there are initial teething problems so I will not judge the differences at present and will allow time for the home to settle.

Friendly well ran home. The doors into the home are dreadfully difficult with a wheelchair, automatic/electric doors would be a boom!!

My sister has been a resident in Melbury Court for almost three years. Her condition is deteriorating but she is reasonably happy and very grateful to the staff for their care. The family visit very regularly and have always found the staff to be extremely kind and caring. There are many activities
available for the residents.

Really pleased to have discovered Melbury Court for my dad. It's on the doorstep, so easy to visit him. The standard of decor; furnishings etc... Set it apart from his previous care home and others considered - more like a home than a care home.


In general terms the staff are very pleasant -

all staff, from admin through to the carers and nursing teams. Melbury seems to have created an environment where employees want to be there and do their best.


Melbury is also a very "active" home with lots of events organised for residents and relatives (race nights; quizzes, karaoke etc) all of which create a sense of belonging.


In summary, somewhere I'd be happy to be a resident myself, should it ever be necessary!

Plenty of activities, trips out and external visitors. Looking around all residents are clean and comfortable. No signs of stress. The staff are lovely, work extremely hard to create a positive outlook. Meals are interesting and well presented. The home is very comfortable and clean. The residents

The surroundings are really pleasant; it's a nice place to visit. Dining rooms are clean and airy. Bedrooms spacious and you can make them 'home from home' with your own furnishings etc. However, what stands out for me is the staff. All the girls are caring and highly professional. They seem to genuinely
care about doing the best for the residents, keeping them safe and comforted. That means the world to me. It is hard to come to terms with a loved one needing care, but I would wholeheartedly recommend Melbury Court.

My mother entered Melbury Court in October 2016. She was extremely unwell and if it were not for the care she received at this home, she would not be here today. The staff are kind, caring and the home has a lovely atmosphere.

My mother was only at Melbury Court for a short time and she died after just over two weeks, but, she had settled happily and clearly enjoyed it. We are grateful for the kind care she received.

My mother has been a resident at Melbury for over 2 years. The care she has just keeps on getting better. When she first went in to care it was near her home and it was a disaster, this caused me a lot of stress. Melbury was recommended to me by a friend and also my podiatrist, it is closer to my home
which makes visiting much easier. My mother is very frail now but we still have quality time together thanks to everyone at Melbury. I had a lovely visit today seeing my mother so warm and comfortable in immaculate surroundings together with a lovely lunch prompted me to make this review. If you are like me require nothing but the best for your loved one then your answer lies at Melbury. I feel welcomed the staff are all so friendly and the care is marvellous but most of all I know that when I am not there she is loved and given the very best of care.
