Staff very caring try hard to accomadate all requests. Facilities not ideal no en-suite-toilet wrong corridor etc. Visiting places lacking badly garden covered in weeds! However what it lacks in amenities it makes up for with good staff at all levels

As a "daily" visitor to see resident, I find staff at all times very pleasant and helpful, all relevant information general or medical is passed on speedily and I am made to feel very welcome at all times. It would be remiss of me to say that every visit was a good one but any problems are dealt with speedily and efficiently. Admitted initially as a temporary resident the lady has been intigrated into the system as a permanent resident

Do not have any problems with residence

Thank you for your kind and thoughtful feedback. We are very pleased to hear that, as a daily visitor, you have consistently found our staff to be pleasant, helpful, and welcoming, and that communication regarding both general and medical matters has been prompt and effective.

My mam has been in Bishopsgate lodge since requiring short term care in January of this year for rehab purposes but has since had to stay due to poor mobility and mental health regression.
I personally have worked in the care sector for over 33 years so I know a good home with good standards from a bad one and I can say without a shadow of a doubt she is getting the best standards of f care I could possibly wish for the staff on the floor are fantastic and very friendly and caring and sensitive to my mam's needs and the nursing staff are some of the best I have ever encountered in all my years in this field especially Lisa the chief nurse who goes above and beyond for the residents with a caring and down to earth manner everyone treats the families of the residents with the up most respect.

The rooms are clean and well maintained and the food is of a high quality standard as is the range of activities provided for everyone. in a day where care standards are slipping this is shining.

Overall, my Granda received fantastic care whilst he was a resident. His time wasn't without some teething issues, but he always said how happy and safe he felt at the home. The family felt as if most staff treat my Granda as if he was the only person they had to look after. And on the day he died the staff could not have done more for me and my family, and my Granda, when we needed them the most.

My dad was a resident in Bishopsgate Lodge from April 2023 until he passed away in December 2025. During the final few weeks of his life, all of the staff were incredibly kind and compassionate. The kindness, dignity and respect shown to my dad and my family has been exemplary, especially on the day he passed away. Nothing was too much trouble and everything that needed to be sorted out was done so with efficiency and effectiveness. We will never forget anyone here.

How do I put into words the care and compassion of the care staff in this home? Thank you will NEVER cover my thanks to these people. Their care and compassion shown to my relative over the last three years has been exemplary. They not only looked after him but also us. They stepped up to provide care for the hours that we were not there.

My relative sadly passed in December and we had to say farewell.......three years ago we arrived as strangers......we left them as our 'other family' and you simply cannot put a price on that...thank you simply isn't enough.....

I traveled about 125 miles to visit mum and on most occasions was asked if I wanted lunch , but normally I would have packed myself up. I normally had a cup of tea while mum ate her lunch which always looks a nice healthy meal. The staff always appear chatty and friendly and ready to assist if needed. Mum was always kept very busy with activities and looked forward to what was going to be on offer that day .She loved to be involved in what was happening and wanted to feel like she had something to look forward to and people to talk to .

I travel a distance of 20+ miles to visit and on my first time I was offered a cup of tea and sat with my sister while she had her lunch. I always find the staff very accomodating and pleasant, easy to talk to. I have seen the meals presented and I feel they are well cooked and suitable for my sisters needs, meat is tender and sliced thinly, veg is or looks fresh not frozen. Care is excellent and although she doesn't avail herself of entertainment and activities she is encouraged to do so.

My mother has been a resident for several months and my review really is based upon this in general. My mother has Parkinson's disease/dementia which has left her with poor short term memory. The home itself is good and Mam has been cared for with dignity and respect. The care staff are compassionate/caring, and endeavour to meet Mam's needs. However, on some occasions and due to inadequate staffing levels on Mam's floor I feel this is not the case, and consequently it doesn't happen. (I.e. long time in responding to nurse call/toileting).

My family were on holiday, so I spent a week in this care home. The operative word is care. All the staff were genuinely caring people.. Nothing was too much trouble. They even changed the position of my bed for me at ten in the evening..Activities were many and varied. Individual needs were catered for.

My auntie was admitted to Bishopsgate Lodge Care Home as were not happy with the home she was previously in. The care, support and dignity she received was amazing. The staff were exceptional. On the passing my auntie, the staff were very kind and considerate to myself and other family members. I could not speak more highly of the home and staff.

I moved my auntie to Bishopsgate Lodge Care Home after a horrible experience at a different care home. I found staff and the home itself clean, friendly and were very helpful and kind during a terrible time in our lives. I cannot thank them enough for looking after my auntie in her last few weeks. Passed peacefully and with dignity and loving care.

Our parents are both in the care home. Mum has been in for eight months and Dad for two months. They are both very happy and very settled. Every member of staff we come into contact with is so nice, and they go way beyond their call of duty. As a family, we know Mum and Dad are very well looked after. We can't thank the staff enough.

Well supported when needed. Well supplied with comfortable lounges, superb views from the dining room and several bedrooms. The food is really good and well cooked. The staff are all really caring and helpful. The downside is too many agency staff, lack of knowledge of residents' requirements. Pills at night often late and past bedtime. Allowed to have our own bedding, a plus is the laundry facilities are excellent.
