From the moment my brother and I were shown around St Margaret's Care Home I felt happy that this was the best care home for my father to be looked after in. The staff are very kind and thoughtful and are also so helpful to my dad, me and my family. This is a heartwrenching time for a family to know their loved one will not return to their home but at least I know dad is being cared for to the best of their ability, even though at times they are very short of staff.

The care is second to none. All staff are kind and considerate. For the amount of staff, I have seen they do an amazing job because I know it isn't easy dealing with dementia.

I have been a resident for 13 years. I am now 96 years old and hope to spend the rest of my days here. Needless to say, I have seen many people, including managers, come and go for one reason or another. During this time. Especially recently, I have been looked after by loyal, experienced staff well and I am able to compare this with living alone out in the community. We have been through a difficult time recently and but for loyal staff, we could not function with this care and I am blessed.

My Dad came to St Margeret's care home from hospital after a fall due to his dementia. The staff are lovely. They have included my Mum in everything, welcoming her to stay and eat with my Dad, which I feel is very important. My Dad is treated with dignity and respect at all times. I would recommend anyone considering a care home to look around.

Myself and my family hugely appreciate all the efforts the staff made to make Mams life at St Margaret's so enjoyable. In particular, the arrangement made to organise Mam's 100th celebration birthday on July 18th. The efforts made to make this occasion memorable were excellent. Clearly showing the staff are exemplary in organizing, caring and arranging opportunities for residents to socialise at every opportunity. It's a joy to see all the elderly residents smiling. Mum loved every minute.

My Uncle was in poor health and condition when he was accepted into St Margaret's.
He had had numerous falls and was incontinent, also very unsteady on his feet.
Since being in this home he has improved greatly.
He has had a few falls and is monitored to prevent this from happening.
He is taken to the toilet when necessary where previously he was unable to reach the toilet sufficiently quickly.
Staff also walk him up and down the corridor to improve strength in his legs.
I have nothing but grateful thanks and appreciation for the wonderful care he has had and is still getting.

The home itself is pleasant and airy and very comfortable.

I was always made welcome.
I was always kept informed of Mam's health.
I was given provision for a bed if required.
Mam was always kept clean.
Mam really enjoyed the good food.
The nursing staff always gave of their best even in difficult circumstances.
Any problems were dealt with quickly.
No problems with money transactions.

Keeping an eye on clothes after being washed sometimes proved rather tricky.

My father went to St Margaret's in mid-December 2017 for palliative care. From the moment he arrived, he was extremely well looked after, in terms of care, hygiene, food and the staff always interacted and chatted with him. The medical and nursing care at end of life was brilliant and I can only praise the staff in the nursing wing. Thank you for the care and support you gave my father at the end of his life.

My mam spent only four weeks at St Margaret's in intermediate care before she passed away. During her stay, the staff were amazing, caring and were very helpful. Nothing was a bother to them, no matter what time of day.

The place was lovely. I can not thank the staff enough for taking care of my mam.

My husband has only been here for two days and I am so impressed with the home. So clean, kind, caring, professional, well equipped and 5* friendly.

Food is so good compared to where my husband was before, it was lacking in all the above criteria.

I was a resident of St Margaret's Care Home for 11days for respite care.
Upon arrival, I was greeted warming by the manager and I found everywhere to be spotlessly clean.
All the staff were exceptional and I was treated with kindness, care and dignity at all times. Everything was done to make me comfortable and feel at home.
The meals were excellent, varied and plentiful.

I would not hesitate to recommend St Margaret's Care Home to anyone.

Our mother/mother-in-law was in St Margaret's for "end of life" care. This was from the end of March until mid-September. She received very good care and nursing form the staff - her needs were met physically and emotionally, in so far as she was taken out to a garden centre for coffee and a scone. She went to many of the concerts and activities - the Elvis impersonator being her favourite. In the final week and days of her life, she received excellent care, as did we, her family. St Margaret's staff were wonderful and we can't thank them enough.
