Middleton Hall Retirement Village

The care my mum received in her last few months at Middleton Hall was second to none. The home is immaculately clean. The decor up beat, modern and comfortable. The care staff are of the highest professional standard and just as importantly they were all so caring and compassionate with my mum until the end. My mum was so happy and content there and knowing she was safe and loved and well cared for was everything to me. The care staff responded calmly and so quickly when she was at end of life. They ensured that she was kept comfortable throughout and had dignity at her most vulnerable time. They were also incredibly supportive to the family and helped us through a very difficult journey of saying goodbye to our lovely mum

Middleton Hall all staff work together. Like cogs on a clock or wheel. Everyone is treated with dignity. It is tranquility in abundance, and care. It is like a haven of peace, tranquility in abundance. I have had a wonderful staff and look forward to my next stay, as a visitor or to stay.

So turning to their care, the accommodation is spotless and the facilities, gardens etc adding much more to the enjoyment of the place. Involvement depends on what residents can manage and so inevitably there are quiet days ahead. This is where the empathy and professionalism of the Carers was delivered with knowledge of our parents needs and situations. It's taken a while to post this but with genuine reflection and thanks.

Four years ago my brother in law on his death bed told me that my sister had dementia and would need caring for. The problem was that I lived in the North East and they lived in the North West and as I lived in a one bedroom bungalow there was no way that she could live with my wife and I so a care home was the only solution. We looked at a number of homes around where she lived but none looked suitable enough so we looked at homes in the North East witch would suite us more as could visit her more often. After looking at a dozen or more we finally settled on Middleton Hall Retirement Village as they had a unit specifically for people suffering with dementia. The care and support my sister received was second to none, The carers and all the staff were friendly and treated my sister as if she was a member of their own family. wherever we went they knew my sister and I cannot thank the staff and everyone who works there enough.

Mum was wonderfully cared for, couldn't have asked for anymore. She was very happy in her three and a half years she spent here. It gave her the independence she would have wanted. She was surrounded by what she has always known,; the beautiful countryside and made her final years very special. Thank you to all staff and management at the Oaks.

The care my stepmother received was excellent. The staff are kind and caring, treating their residents as individuals. We were kept informed of any changes etc., especially towards the end. The staff are always pleasant and friendly. The establishment is well run. In each section my stepmother lived in the care was the best there is.

Middleton Hall is a fantasic place. The place is immaculate. The staff cannot do enough for you. Friendly, professional and caring. I was there for 2 weeks for respite care, made some new friends and loved the staff.

I would recommend Middleton Hall very highly indeed.

Middleton Court is a very special place. I am so very grateful that Mum spent her last few weeks receiving fabulous care and attention from such a wonderful team.

I just needed a period of rest with everything taken care of following a period of acute care in the hospital. Middleton Hall provided exactly what I needed, privacy, peace and quiet, lovely surroundings, and very professional and caring staff. And delicious food which tempted even my jaded appetite. Two weeks here and I feel able to take on the world again.

Middleton Hall is the pinnacle of professionalism and care. We moved our dad in towards the end of his life when his Alzheimer's became too much for us to be able to give him the care he needed and deserved. The staff at Middleton Hall were incredible. They were so patient and kind with him and with us. We wish he could have enjoyed it longer as there were so many activities for him to enjoy and his room was beautiful with stunning views. Sadly, it was not to be, but we are greatly comforted knowing that he was cared for so well right to the end.

I would like to thank the staff at Middleton Hall Retirement Village for their excellent care and support shown towards my mum, during her recent week's stay. The staff were both professional and friendly - getting to know my mum very quickly, helping her to be independent and assisting her when she needed help. During her stay, she enjoyed many of the activities on offer - a day trip, the knit and natter group, and especially the assisted swimming (which she loved!). The opportunity to mic and chat with new friends ensured she enjoyed her stay enormously and knowing she was safe and happy gave me great peace of mind. Another visit is already being planned.

Like a hotel, very comfortable, friendly and wonderful outside spaces to explore and enjoy.

My brother was a resident for over three and a half years and his care was exceptional. Professional caring staff made what could have been a difficult time a great deal easier for him and our entire family. The facilities are superb food excellent and events and entertainment outstanding. Should I or my husband need supervised care home care we hope we will be able to use Middleton Hall.

My father was a resident in Middleton Oaks from November 2022 until very recently. The unique environment based on a family living model, of this amazing residence, meant that my father absolutely thrived during his time here. We had wonderful walks around the extensive grounds, he was able to continue his hobby of swimming due to the spa facilities available and he took part in day trips out with the other residents, which he really enjoyed. His quality of life was enhanced by the enormous amount of care, attention and friendship from the excellent, well-trained staff and managers; he truly felt welcomed as a part of the Oaks family group. As an Alzheimer's sufferer, the small number of residents in his house was extremely beneficial; he was able to form good friendships with the residents and the fact that the same staff were based in each house meant that they became familiar to him, despite his Alzheimers. I cannot recommend Middleton Oaks, part of Middleton Hall, highly enough.

The fact that Middleton Hall Retirement Village is employee-owned, makes it unique and is reflected in the way the care home is run and the quality of care given to residents. I have never doubted that my mum is in good hands, and I know that, despite it being a challenge sometimes, she is treated with care and respect.

I could not rate Middleton Oaks more highly. Words such as outstanding, impeccable, professional and superb barely do justice to this facility, truly a ‘home’, that cared for my husband, and by extension his family, at a time of his greatest need. Combining professional knowledge with human warmth, the carers were empathetic, proactive and knowledgeable. Anticipating my husband’s every need, they provided exemplary care based on a deep understanding of both his health and personal needs. When such a level of professionalism is situated in a beautiful building, surrounded by peaceful and extensive grounds, with facilities that would do justice to a first-class hotel, the combination is truly remarkable. I recommend Middleton Hall wholeheartedly and without reservation. Thank you!

My father was in care for the final 11 months of his life. There are no words to express my gratitude to everyone at Middleton Hall. Every single thing was outstanding. If there were 100 stars on the review I would give it 100 stars. I will not be able to say thank you enough times to every member of staff who treated my father with kindness and dignity. The management was so professional. The room and the facilities were first-class. The food was outstanding. But I’ll keep coming back to the staff and tell anyone who is reading this that the staff are the most amazing people. I visited regularly and each time I left I knew that my father was safe. Choosing Middleton Hall was the best decision we made. We had looked at a number of homes but the beauty of Middleton Hall made it our number one choice. It has wonderful walks around the grounds. There are regular activities for every person there. The gym and the people who worked with my dad were fantastic. Thank you Middleton Hall.
