Making my mum a resident of Aberpennar Care Home saved me from having a health breakdown. It was the best decision for me, mum and my husband. Mums health issues were worrying, diabetes and living in a one bedroom flat meant that one of us had to sleep there every night on an armchair, we had to prepare all her meals, except her breakfast, as she always had cornflakes and this never varied until the day she passed away.
Mum was happy, made many friends, residents and members of staff. She felt safe and well, cared for and she called her room 'my flat' and never considered moving anywhere else.

It was her home, thank you for everything.

In the last few months of visiting my friend, I have noticed the nursing home has improved greatly. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful to you. The activity side is very good. They get all the patients to try and participate in everything they do. I have noticed a change in the home for the better.

A very good care home providing good standards in everything it does. I cannot fault the way my father is being looked after. I would certainly recommend this care home to families in a similar position to myself.

My mother was transferred from hospital to Aberpennar Court in August 2015. She was in the final stages of dementia. The love, care, dignity and support given not only to my mother but to us as a family was such a comfort.
