I find all of the staff friendly and very helpful. There is an aura of a relaxed and professional courtesy demonstrated by all of the staff looking after my mum. It's always a guilty and difficult decision to hand over loved family members to unfamiliar staff. I am content to confirm that due to the
staff members I have met, any concerns I had have been pleasantly alleviated.

My mum has been at Quarry Hall for approximately six months. The care she has and is receiving is carried out with kindness and dignity.
Mum needs to be safe and we, as a family, feel that we can relax knowing that she is.

As a family, we are very pleased with her care.
She seems happy and the carers are lovely and are always willing to discuss anything with us.
The fact that they have the opportunity to sing together with the lovely lady that organises it is a really good idea because my sister loves music and singing
it really cheers them all up!
The coffee shop is very handy as it makes her feel as if she has gone out somewhere different and it's easier for us that it's in the building as her mobility is so bad.
The only thing that's not nice is the smell sometimes, would it be possible to have an air freshener?

The home looks comfortable and well furnished and decorated. The main corridor displays lots of photos and arts and crafts made by the residents. My sister and I are not regular visitors but try to go once a month. The staff also put on lots of activities such as Zumba, sing-a-longs which are great,
and they all seem to enjoy. The staff seem very good and have a good relationship with the residents. I have one criticism which is one occasion visiting my auntie, she was in an armchair in the lounge and, as I entered, she was having a coughing fit. Though there was somebody in a side office, she was engrossed in paperwork. I had to go and get a glass of water for my auntie.

Both my parents are residents of Quarry Hall. I'm happy with the care they receive there. Mum's been in several previously and there is no comparison. Without exception, they all failed to care properly for her.
At Quarry Hall everyone is kind and genuinely seems to care how Mum is and does their best
for her.
She can be a bit difficult to understand but as they've got to know her they've been able to translate and lessen her frustration.

My grandmother has been in the home for over two months now, we as a family have found the home to be excellent. My grandmother has settled in very well without any problems. The home has lovely surroundings and wildlife. The home provided lovely activities throughout the week and also takes residents
out on trips. The staff are very friendly and helpful and my nan gets on very well with all the staff. My grandmother enjoys all her meals, also family members or visitors are offered a drink and cake/biscuits. Family pets are very welcome into the home which makes my nan smile.

The rooms are always clean and tidy. The residents are very well cared for and treated very respectfully.

My Mum has been a Dementia resident of this home for 2 years now. Throughout, the staff have been caring and attentive. They do a difficult job, very well. Management is very accessible. All staff have been friendly and supportive to the family. Regular activities are organised and Mum particularly
enjoys the Friday singing. Cleanliness is good. The staff take care to help mum dress as she would wish to be. Her room is always clean and tidy.

My mother is new to Quarry Hall and needs a dementia nursing resource. The transition from hospital has naturally been difficult for her at the age of 91 and she has presented some challenges.
I have been very impressed by the staff who have tried hard to understand and meet her complex needs. She
relates well to them and they have been extremely kind and caring.
The management is excellent and always available, approachable and looking to resolve any issues as they arise.

My mum was treated very well, staff were always on hand to support her and ensure her stay was enjoyable. She was allowed her independence but they made sure she knew they were there if she needed them.
The home is very pleasant, clean and provides a very friendly, homely atmosphere.

I found Quarry Hall Care Home to be a lovely, warm welcoming place for my mum to spend her last days. The staff looked after her so well with dignity and I had no worries leaving her there. She was taken on trips, had her hair done, had poetry and song sessions. My friend's brother was there and she
had recommended Quarry Hall Care Home to me (Mum died on January 1st 2017).

My father has been at Quarry Hall Care Home for nearly two years now. He is very settled at the home. The carers are excellent and work extremely hard to meet every resident's needs although sometimes they are quite stretched if a lack of resources are not available. The management are very approachable
and nothing is ever too much trouble. They have disciplined staff when needed and advised us. The entertainment staff are also excellent, gentleman afternoons. Ladies tea, afternoon tea which includes the relatives as well.

As a Registered General Nurse, Carla has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked at HC-One for over a decade, Carla closely shares HC-One’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Carla remarked:


“Being able to support and develop a group of amazing Colleagues from all different backgrounds, to become the better version of themselves. With that valuable team, we are able to support, enhance and have the privilege of actively participating in this outstanding life chapter that our lovely residents are living.”
