Awel-Y-Mor is a Swansea-based rehabilitation centre with a proven track record of supporting the local community. It provides high dependency care, active and slow-stream rehabilitation and respite care.

It welcomes young physically disabled adults who have experienced traumatic or acquired brain injury, Spinal injury or who have other physical disabilities and complex needs. It also provides care for young people who suffer from congenital illnesses and those who have learning disabilities.

It has strong links with local GP services and an excellent activities programme.
Staff work hard to enable all residents to enjoy individual choice & lifestyle preferences throughout their stay, with their own care plan organised in collaboration with key workers.

We as a family have had an excellent experience here. The management and carers are professional, knowledgably and very caring to residents and visitors alike. The facilities and activities are excellent, plentiful and well run and there are many communal areas to suit individual needs. A care home
is never going to be quite like a private home (living in your own home) but I'd say this is as close as it gets.

I provide physiotherapy treatment for residents at Awel-Y-Mor with the help of our therapy assistant, Marlene. We work with residents to help them achieve their goals and reach their full potential. I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2012 and gained my master's in 2017. I have worked previously in the NHS.
