My sister who has advanced dementia is a resident at Glais House, we viewed several nursing homes before we were lucky enough to find this one. Infact my sister and I cried when we came to view with my brother-in-law with relief. All the staff from the Manager, nurses, carers, laundry, cleaner + all other support staff have provided outstanding care + support to my sister. Even though they are working in the most challenging of settings I have not found one person that isn't ready to help with a smile + words of encouragement

I would like to give my review of Glais House nursing home based on my observations of how my wife is being cared for firstly I must say the staff at all levels are absolutely fantastic with the way they conduct and carry out their dutys they are so caring to all and nothing is to much trouble if you require any help or assistance. I could not single any individual as all the staff are just as comitted as each other. The home is always kept clean and fresh and the outside is immaculate. The management team are very approachable with any issues and always at hand.

Lovely staff, clean home, ideal for respite for mum unfortunately mum was not at the same level as some of the other residents so found it difficult to settle. The staff looked after her well and it was ideal for our needs.

I would highly recommend Glais House as it provides a very welcoming and caring Home where my mother has been a resident for over twelve months and is extremely well cared for and has made many friends with residents and staff alike.. All the staff are kind, caring, hardworking and approachable. Nothing is too much trouble. The Home is spotlessly clean and very presentable. The catering is also very good.
The residents are very engaged in the activities offered each day for their well being.

Over the Xmas period the Home was beautifully decorated and offered wonderful entertainment leading up to Xmas Day with full resident and visitor participation including Xmas lunch at a local hotel, Xmas party, a number of Xmas concerts, and a Panto. It was a delight to witness the residents enjoying all the entertainment.

My mother has recently moved into Glais House Nursing care which is now her forever home as she sadly needs 24/7 nursing care which I can no longer provide. She has settled in well and seems to be happy there despite missing her own home. I can't compliment the staff for the care they give her. Every time I've been to visit her, I've been extremely impressed in the way the staff treat the residents with such kindness, gentleness and great respect. They also have a lovely sense of humour which generates big smiles all around. Medication is given out as directed each day. The food looks delicious and is varied each day with ample portions. It is also very clean, always smells fresh and well kept throughout. Her needs are truly catered for. Thank you all so very much for taking such good care of my mother.
