Parklands is great, all carers are so helpful, especially Marie who always tries her best to entertain residents. One carer that I really like is Lilly, she is young and so sweet, Amy and Caroline are always nice and great to chat with. Very happy xx
My wife and I really enjoy our get together with all people. Great meeting everyone.
My wife Carole is at Parklands. I find the staff all excellent. I know my wife is well cared for. I visit daily and am always welcomed with conversation. I ask for updates about my wife and they always give their time to explain, chat and answer me. I am happy Parklands is in our village and I'm able to visit daily.
Daughter - My mam is in Parklands. Lovely, warm welcome, friendly staff. No worries! My mam is cared for well, always clean, happy and comfortable. The staff really look after my mam well - it's home from home for her. I'm so grateful we have Parklands in Bedwas, and family and friends can visit. The social events and fundraisers are good for the well-being of the guests, and they always invite the community, family and friends. Five star.
My relative is in Parklands. The care and respect they receive from the staff is so beautiful. They are well cared for here. Walking in to visit, all the staff are so welcoming, even when they are busy nothig is too much. As a family we are so grateful.
all the staff are lovely
Such a lovely care home. Very good activities. Staff friendly and helpful. Meals are also very good. My mum in law very happy there. Thank you.
Amazing, amazing, amazing all round; staff, care, cleanliness and great activities.
Carry on with your noble mission in such a loving and caring home care.
I was looking for a nursing home for my mum, who sadly had deteriorated in her health and needed 24 hour care. Mam moved into parklands nursing home on 25/12/2025. When my partner and myself when to view the home, it was amazing the care for the residents of the carers. The home was inviting to family and Marie the activities coordinator, is a special lady. She goes above and beyond for the residents. My granddaughter Eliza who's 5 loved visiting mam, mam went poorly on the 4/01/2026 and sadly passed 06/01 /2026. The comfort and compassion they gave me and my family up until the day mam passed was very much appreciated. Everyone at parklands nursing home what ever their job, will welcome u with a friendly smile and chat. As a family we are gutted that mam wasn't there long but we were so glad that mam was looked after so well and we will be forever grateful to each and everyone of them xx
The staff cannot do enough for the residents and there's plenty of activities going on to keep them engaged. My mother loves being in the communal lounge and is doing really well since coming here.
Parklands is at the heart of the community in Bedwas, and the enthusiasm and loving care given by staff is exceptional as they encourage residents to take part in music sessions and reminiscence. It was very moving to see how people responded as the staff took residents to visit Bedwas Workmens Hall for the first time in many years; they remembered with such joy the dances, cinema and social events of their youth.
Parklands is a warm and caring home, the staff are friendly and always happy to listen to family's concerns and help where they can. The home also has a fantastic entertainment officer who provides great events for the residents- the effect on their mental and emotional well-being is fantastic, it's a very real benefit that cannot be underestimated.
My father has been a resident at Parklands for two years. Previous to that another care home. For us as a family HCL provides the care, nursing and trust for caring for all my dad's needs. My dad seems very happy at Parklands and thoroughly enjoys his time spent with the staff and the activities coordinator. He joins in and loves the music and singing, also any entertainment days provided. My mind is very satisfied with Parklands.
Enjoyed playing bingo, great atmosphere. A particular staff member interacts with all the residents.
Lunch times are always a pleasure today the care home manager put on some music which always lifts the atmosphere. The entertainment lady usually does this and it helps create a happy relaxed lunch time. The staff are always helpful and will assist with any reasonable request. They are friendly and hard working. My husband is very happy here.
Since my uncle has come here to live, the support and care is fantastic I cannot fault any of staff. I noticed how well in his looks he is looking. Been here for company and now feels secure also staff.
I am in Parklands most days at lunch time to assist my husband and today was just an ordinary day. This afternoon it will probably get lively with St Patrick's Day celebrations.
Whilst sitting at the back of the lounge, people watching, if you like, I was struck by the friendly family type atmosphere. The room was full of chatting and laughing.
All dining room tables were occupied and staff were busy serving, assisting and generally joining in.
In the midst were residents' visitors also assisting and looking quite comfortable and at home themselves.
This is something that Parklands does well - there is no segregation. Residents chose themselves where they wish to be and visitors just fit in.
Visitors are now friends with other visitors because of this relaxed atmosphere, it's lovely.
This a difficult time for families but Parklands is 100% "home".
I am very lucky to be here and have plenty to occupy my mind.
Very good at entertaining residents and making residents feel at home.
They also keep me informed of any and all issues.
