My husband initially stayed at Parklands Care Centre for occasional weeks while I had some respite and was so pleased with the care he received that when the time came for him to be cared for permanently in a care home, there were no other care homes that I would have wanted him to go to. Because I visit practically every day I can see how very caring and kind all the staff are. I am very pleased that every weekday afternoon there are activities in which the residents that are able can participate in order to keep them motivated. It's a joy to see the smiles on their faces when they join in the keep fit, quizzes, concerts and bingo etc and I am made welcome and able to join in as well. The home and the rooms are always clean and tidy. The food is absolutely fabulous even though my husband is on pureed food. It's always very tasty I can go home and have peace of mind that he is being looked after so well.

Parklands Care Centre is very homely, staff are amazing, so is management. Food is very good. Decor is really upmarket, I would highly recommend Parklands Care Centre as my dad staying is at Parklands and it ticks all the boxes for us as a family. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Very happy with Parklands Care Centre.

A different system should be put in place to prevent items of clothing going missing even though they are properly labelled, individual bags should be issued. The cleaning of individuals wheelchairs should be prioritised as the presence of old food etc could become a health and safety issue. Similarly, lounge chairs should be regularly cleaned. Bathing and showering are not taking place on a regular basis and the excuse always seems to be that the carers are always too busy. This is not acceptable.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your valuable feedback. We are pleased that you would recommend the home to others and have given us positive feedback overall. In relation to the areas that are not working so well I’m pleased that we have already had the opportunity to meet to discuss these in detail and have agreed the improvements needed.

My father in law was a resident a few years ago and now it's my mother in law. The home has improved its standards even though it was good when my father in law was here. The staff are brilliant and the home is great.

Although my father has only been here for a month the staff have been very good at making him feel comfortable and at ease. The standard of care is excellent and it is a comfort to know that he is being well cared for and well fed. As my father is blind he cannot participate in the activities on offer but I have noticed other residents really get involved.

My ex-father in law has been at 'Parklands Care Centre' for almost 6 years. My ex-wife and I have never had any problems the way he has been looked after and never any problems with carers. His room is always clean and tidy.

Staff are caring and compassionate, nothing is too much trouble. They spend time talking to the residents making sure all their needs are met even when they are short staffed. They arrange a good variety of activities and days out to make their days more interesting.
