My mother has been a resident at the home for two years and during that time I and other family members are extremely grateful for the care and support my mother has received. The entire staff are always pleasant, welcoming and friendly. My mother's first language is Welsh and fortunately, many of the
care workers are able to converse with my mother in Welsh. Communication between the home and myself are extremely good.

My mother needed EMI nursing, and after viewing a number of care home facilities, we decided on Cwrt Enfys. From first looking at the home, we felt it was the perfect place for my mother, and 10 months later, we feel justified in our choice as my mother receives wonderful care and is treated properly
and with dignity, and I would certainly recommend Cwrt Enfys to anyone.

As can be seen by the answers I have made to the options, I cannot find any fault whatsoever with the home. They not only care for my mother wonderfully well, but they are also extremely helpful, considerate and caring towards myself taking an interest in my health and wellbeing too. I cannot commend
each and every one of them from the cleaners, carers up to management and office staff enough other than to say that they care and look after my mum as much as I do. The staff are all so happy and pristine in their workplace and as such lifts my mother's mood as she does miss her own home so much. I would have no hesitation at all to recommend the home to anyone looking for places for their loved ones.

We as a family are very pleased with the care and attention that is shown to our Dad /Husband. It is very difficult at present with the conditions we are faced with and not being able to see our loved ones.

My auntie is currently residing at this beautiful care home in Ystradgynlais. The care, staff and feel of the home are second to none. The home is inviting with a warm feeling, the staff cannot do enough for my auntie and she really enjoys being here. There are activities to keep her busy during the
day and there is a general feeling within the family, that we trust this home with someone we dearly love, something that anyone having to place a relative in a nursing home needs to know, that their relative is cared for and looked after. I cannot speak highly enough about the home.

I cannot express my extreme thankfulness for the care given to my husband at Cwrt Enfys Nursing Home.
Dementia is a horrible illness, the staff have to be very understanding and caring with their patients.
I checked out a number of nursing homes and chose Cwrt Enfys not just for the atmosphere but
also the organised working of the home.

Unfortunately, my mother was served a 28-day notice after residing at Cwrt Enfys for 5 months. Moving my mother who has a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s to a completely different environment is both upsetting and heartbreaking. Lacking in empathy and compassion.

Your mother has been residing in the residential community of our home for 5 months. Unfortunately, people living with dementia can have changing care needs, in particular, if and when their condition deteriorates they might need additional interventions and support mechanisms to be put in place. Due to a number of incidents, our skilled management and care teams deemed it was unsafe for your mother to be continued to be looked after in the residential community. In short, we were unable to meet her needs whilst also meeting the needs of other residents and staff on the unit. We did offer to move your mother to another community in the home, where we felt she could have been safely cared for, however you declined this. Unfortunately, we therefore reached an impasse and in order to continue to meet the needs of all our residents and staff, we were left with no choice but to serve notice. We certainly hope your mother settles well into her new home.

I have found Cwrt Enfys Care Home a lovely calm atmosphere, in a well furnished, clean, well-decorated home for my Mum. Knowing she is clean, well cared for in a safe and secure environment. To see the staff with the residents and visitors, they are marvellous, to see them getting everybody ready for
lunch is like a military operation. The nursing staff phone me regularly, whether it is a safety issue or medical. The transition to nursing care was all done for us. My mother is very happy, as are we. I am an NVQ in care and know she is having good care.

Our experience with the care/support of our son is limited at the moment. He was admitted on August 9th and since that time has had 3 admissions to general hospital due to his very complex needs. These admissions have resulted in him being away from the home for a total of 10 weeks. He has been looked
after superbly while he has been resident and is very happy to be back at the home. To the present, we are very happy to say he is in their care and hope to be always able to say so.

Mum suffered with Alzheimer's and became a resident in 2013. During her stay, she was well cared for. We found the staff to be professional, approachable, caring and always responsive to Mum's changing needs.
The home is clean, the food nutritious, home cooked and inviting. The environment is safe
and secure. We were impressed by the various activities that are organised from time to time. Also, the changing scenes which are depicted on the walls around the home.

Mam was already in the late stages of dementia with severe physical restrictions when she came to Cwrt Enfys and the whole staff made sure she was well looked after during her last few weeks.
She was treated with respect, dignity, sympathy and care by every single member of staff. They were all good
friends as well as carers and made her last weeks infinitely more bearable for us, her family, as well as for her.
Mam was fed, watered and abluted to a standard that would not have been possible at home nor was possible during her long hospital stay. Whenever we visited she was clean, tidy and comfortable.
Rarely have we come across such high standards of professionalism combined with such friendly, considerate treatment.
During her last hours, my brother and I were able to maintain our long bedside vigil thanks to the constant support from all the staff members, only having to leave her side for her regular comfort and medical checks. We thank you all for making that possible.

Over my 82 years, I have visited a few care homes with misgiving opinions. My involvement with visiting Cwrt Enfys covers a considerable time and it is noticed that patients respond to staff with ease. The staff reflect a calm atmosphere and a friendly approach.
A distressed patient is never ignored
and is comforted by staff. Standards of cleanliness are always high and the air is always fresh, visiting at any time of day.
Patients are always clean and presentabley dressed. Meals are well laid out and staff aid the feeding with great care.
Visitors are always welcomed with a smile. This is a statement based on fact and bears no influence by anyone connected with Cwrt Enfys.

My mother was admitted in December 2017. From the first day, I was impressed with the welcome and care she received.
The staff have been very caring. The entertainment has also been first class.

I attended the 100th birthday of my aunt recently and was very impressed with the amount of time and effort given by the staff to organise an excellent birthday party for my aunt. This included; letting the Queen's office know and also Welsh Government, decorating her room and a separate room for my
aunt and her relatives, baking a scrumptious birthday cake and providing a tea. Also organising musical entertainment; in all ways an excellent part of their care.

When this care home change ownership to Silvercrest Care I had serious reservations about the level of care that my mum would receive. However, having weathered a few setbacks, I now believe that the standard of care, the support of the carers and the activities section has improved quite drastically
for the better! My only concern at present is the number of care workers that are unable to communicate as well as should be expected. Also, I feel that there should be more care workers working the evening shift.

The home is lovely. They are very caring and if there is something trouble them they take the time to reassure them that everything is fine. The food is wonderful with plenty of variety. The staff are wonderful.
