Cwrt Enfys is an open and welcoming care home situated in the beautiful upper Swansea Valley on the outskirts of the village of Ystradgynlais. It is one of 5 premium Silvercrest care homes in South Wales.

The resident has been in the home for 8 years, the management, staff, carers all give an excellent service.
Laundry - could be better, clothes going missing or put in another resident's room.
Kitchen staff - always helpful and good variety of meals.

My sister, aged 90 has been in Cwrt Enfys Care home for 2 years. My brother and myself visit her almost every other day. We find her very happy in her en-suite bedroom or in their communal lounge. She is always very cleanly presented and speaks highly of the food and the variety of menus provided.
She
speaks very well of the courteous and caring staff. We are very satisfied and fortunate to have our sister in such a happy environment.

The nursing staff and the care staff at the home are fantastic. I feel that my grandmother is well cared for. My only concern is since Silvercrest have taken over the home, the carers do not have time to spend with the residents, through no fault of their own.

My father has been a resident at Cwrt Enfys for just over a month now and I cannot speak highly enough of the care he has received. As we had to move him from his previous home in Sussex due to unforeseen circumstances, we made the decision to bring him closer to us in Wales. He has dementia and we
were very anxious that such a big move would be detrimental to him. However, thanks to the professionalism and support of the Manager of Cwrt Enfys, and the care and kindness of all the staff, the move could not have gone smoother and Dad has settled in far better than I think any of us could have hoped for.
He is treated with the utmost kindness and respect and I leave after each visit knowing he is safe and being looked after. All the staff are very friendly and will do everything they can to help Dad - nothing I have asked for has been too much trouble and they let me know how he is doing and if he needs anything. Moving him to Cwrt Enfys has been the best decision we've made.

We as a family understand the difficulties of caring or nursing the elderly and infirm and it can be challenging. We found that we as a family didn't feel a welcome visiting our Dad- no one ever took the time to ask how our mum was (in another home) we always had to initiate contact with staff about
dad's well being on the visits. Although at some point we were advised of concerns about dad's inappropriate behaviour we were always told it wasn't a problem, things were ok and medicine prescribed. All the family really didn't like him being there and didn't find it welcoming or friendly. Dad's last days there were distressing in the manner he was 'packed up' to leave, swift and unfeeling- no contact or follow up after he left . Manager unsympathetic and lack of concern. Dad died 14/2/16.

My husband is a resident at Cwrt Enfys, the carers work efficiently as a team ensuring that each resident is treated with dignity. Their safety is paramount, the care and empathy given to residents from a physical and emotional prospective excels staff always accommodate and give family and loved ones
a welcome and are always at hand to discuss anything about loved ones, ensuring piece of mind. Everyone works as a team at Cwrt Enfys to ensure the highest standard of care is delivered.

All the staff are very friendly. The food is excellent and good quality. The staff provide a variety of activities which the clients all enjoy. The only negative thing I can report is that I find my bedroom too small.

I am very pleased with the level of service this care home provides. I also have noticed a significant improvement recently with the change of management.

The staff in the home always been very welcoming, they meet my mother's needs well. The home is clean, well organised and warm. The food provided is plentiful and appears a good quality. The staff make an effort in entertaining the residents and have regular social events organised monthly.
