I cannot thank the team enough for the incredible care they provide to my father. Moving a loved one into care is never easy, but the staff made the transition seamless. They don't just provide medical support; they treat the residents with genuine dignity and warmth. It truly feels like a community rather than a facility

Granda has only been here a short time and is already very happy, smiling and singing away every time we visit, and he is commenting about how lovely the staff are. This puts my mind at ease massivley as have been very anxious about the move.

Thank you to everyone who has made my grandas journey so calm and helping him settle so quickly.

My husband has been in Barleystone Court for nearly 5 weeks and previously went there for respite. I find the manager & staff very approachable and so helpful. I struggled when he first went in, but everyone was so understanding. Going by my experience in Barleystone, I know my husband is in good hands and is being well cared for.

I find the care my wife receives is very good. Attentive oh yes caring yes. It would be very remiss of me not to mention people who should deserve a special mention namely the manager, a staff member on reception and 3 of the carers.

Thanks to your staff, really pleased to see my Dad in a place where the staff obviously care. Myself and my Brothers are really comfortable with him residing at Barleystone Court Care Home. Thank you, staff were so welcoming, we were offered a coffee and my old Uncle even got a free lunch!! Actually looking forward to visiting my dad there, I live in Aviemore, so cannot visit every week. Your staff are managing the home very professionally, giving me great peace of mind.

My dad has been in a couple of care homes in the past and this one has been the best, by far. The staff were very caring and accommodating to his individual needs. We've only used this care home on an emergency placement but I am now looking at using this care home for respite in the future.

Cannot fault the level of care and support provided to Mum since she came into the care home.

The staff are so good with Mum and really do provide a huge lifeline to us in the care they provide. Mum is much safer here and we can breathe a little knowing she is under regular care and supervision. The care home manager is and has been exceptional.

This was my husband's first-ever residential respite. Barleystone Court Care Home gave a very pleasing ambience on arrival. Staff were quick to answer and use security measures at admission. Staff were professional, helpful and friendly. My husband's room was bright and clean and well-furnished. The whole place was also clean and bright and other service users looked very happy. As I was so pleased, I have made further bookings. I would also recommend Barleystone Court to others.

In the short time, my mum has been a resident of Barleystone Court, all staff and management have provided an excellent level of service and care and have gone above and beyond for us as a family, including giving additional support to my elderly father with the transition of my mum moving into a care home. The whole Barleystone environment feels very welcoming and friendly, and we have been kept up to date and informed with every aspect surrounding my mum's care. My mum's room is lovely, bright and clean, and we were able to bring additional bits and pieces into her room to make it feel more like home. It is also lovely to see the residents taking part in all the activities which are organised and to be able to see the photographs on social media. All in all, as a family, we are delighted with the level of care my mum is receiving at Barleystone Court and would like to thank the staff for all their support.

I was very nervous about my relative moving into a care home for respite but Barleystone Court Care Home has been a very pleasant experience for my relative and myself.
Staff were kind, thoughtful and always helpful. My relative was well looked after and didn’t want to leave the home.

This was a great first experience of care home living and would not hesitate to recommend Barleystone for respite care for their loved one.

My dad stayed at Barleystone Court Care Home for 3 weeks of respite. What an amazing place very well organised. The level of care and kindness to my dad and myself visiting was outstanding. I can't thank each and every member of staff enough for their incredible dedication to the residents. The surrounding gardens are a joy to sit in and even entertainment is thrown in to bring a smile to everyone. Well done Barleystone staff you are all invaluable.

My mum has been a resident for a week. I visited for the first time today and absolutely delighted with the care that is given. I felt so guilty that I couldn't take care of my mum anymore but I know now that she is in safe capable hands and is receiving the expert specialist care that I could not provide. All the staff have been so supportive and gone the extra mile to help my mum settle in and become part of a lovely new family with the other residents and staff. I am getting my mum back after being the carer for a very long time and getting to spend some quality time with her in a lovely environment.

My Father-in-Law was cared for, by Barleystone Court Care Home throughout the pandemic until he passed away in January this year.
There were initial teething problems and hiccups along the way but every time we raised any concerns they were dealt with as soon as practicable.
Pandemics and restrictions came and went and the care that he received was excellent.
He enjoyed being in the home. There were lots for him to do. Towards the end of his life, the staff were absolutely fantastic...They cared for his every need - and ours!

For that, we will be eternally grateful. Thank you all.

Celebrated mum's 90th Birthday on 4th January 2022 and was allocated the hub upstairs.

The staff were excellent and so helpful. We were allowed two households in 3 one hour slots allowing all her family to visit. Mum had a fabulous 90th.
