My mother was only here for a short time before she passed away but she settled in so well. Made friends with the other residents and staff. The staff were so helpful to my mother and me. It made my Mum's time there very happy. I am so grateful for everything that they did for us.

The home has a few issues which could do with improvement but overall, it is a nice place and is very friendly.

My elderly mother was admitted for palliative care and nursing. On entering Chapel Level for the first time, I was very happy with the reception received by everyone and was impressed by everything available to residents.
My mother, despite being terminally ill, was extremely happy with ALL aspects of Chapel Level, including the cleanliness and attention to detail. The staff members at ALL levels were absolutely outstanding and this is what makes Chapel Level an excellent CARING home.

My sincere thanks for making Mum's end of life care so comfortable.

My first contact with Chapel Level Home in Kirkcaldy was when my mother in law was placed here by social workers for end of life care.
My own mother needed more nursing care as she was failing very quickly at her other care home. I was very impressed with Chapel Level care home. My mum's health improved dramatically when I transferred her, due to the nursing staff and care assistants attitudes and care they gave her. She was so bright and engaged with all staff.

She was given a second chance.

I would recommend this care home because of the carers they do a good job for all residents. They are so nice to you when you visit if it was not for them It would fall apart. The place is clean and tidy and the management are ok and the cleaners do a good job too.

My dad was a resident at Chapel Level and we were very pleased with the way he was looked after, so we had no hesitation in placing our mum in your care and I have to say she has never looked healthier and happier in recent years, so a big thank you to all the staff at Chapel Level for doing a fantastic job.

After difficult weeks in hospital my husband became a resident at the end of August 18. He has not settled well probably because of his dementia and mobility issues. His choice is to spend all his time in his room. He appears to enjoy his food. Staff are kind, caring and keep him looking clean and tidy.

My father is very happy here. However, the medication provided takes too long to get here and the cream he needs is not what is ordered. It is too small I.e 50g instead of 500g.

Reply from Clare Sheehan, Careline Advisor at Chapel Level Care Home

Thank you for giving positive feedback about your Father being happy in the home. We would like to assure you that we do order the larger sizes but we cannot control what is supplied from the pharmacy, however, we do communicate regularly with them regarding this.

I have found all staff to be helpful and polite when organising a place for Mum. Mum's health and wellbeing has improved enormously in the short time she has been a resident. I feel comfortable to talk to staff if I have any concerns or comments.

I find that the home has a homely feel and the residents get to bring most of their stuff from home which makes it welcoming for them and settling. There are plenty of rooms for sitting in and to take family to.
Well supervised and staff you can go to them with any problems and they will sort anything out.

Matron has a well-run home, and anything she can do, she is there to help in any way.

The home is always clean and fresh. Staff presence and attention to residents and visitors is always apparent. Providing fees are affordable, this would be an attractive residence for anyone unable to remain in their own home.
