The care staff were efficient and empathetic. I liked how the residents appeared to love a staff member in the main lodge most of the time. They engaged the residents in conversation and games. There was a wide range of activities organised, including days out. There appeared to be a lot of agency staff
towards the end of Mum's time at the home. I have to say I was disappointed with the laundry system. Mum always had other people's clothes were all labelled either with name tapes or permanent markers.


I was disappointed a bible of Mum's was not found yet. It had special significance to us as our brother's death notice (he died a baby) was posted in the front.


Overall, I would certainly recommend Chapel Level to interested parties.

Despite the fact that our mother was only in Chapel Level Care Home for two weeks before she died, we can recommend the home for the excellent care and attention she received. She received the necessary 24/7 care she required and we were always welcome anytime. Her last days were sensitively monitored
and we were kept up to date with her declining condition. It was a great comfort to us to know she was never alone.

I cannot thank all staff at Chapel Level Care Home enough for the care given to my auntie who resided there for 4 years. Every aspect, from staff to cleanliness and comfort, was exceptional. I cannot praise this care provider highly enough. It would certainly be my first choice if I required care for

My Mum was in Chapel for 6 weeks on respite care, when we needed to look for long term care the Staff were very helpful and supportive. Nice place.

We were kept well informed during my aunt's final short illness. We were pleased to have found a home near her village so friends could call in to see her. She always looked well cared for and appeared to have made friends on the dementia unit. As a registered nurse myself, I was able to converse nurse
to nurse by telephone as we all live 400 miles away.

Been volunteering at this home for some time now, taking the residents outs and about on day trips. They all thoroughly enjoy their trip on the bus as I do take them out. The care staff are excellent and very helpful when they take the residents out and about in the bus to various trips and visits
to museum and events etc. It is always a pleasure to take the residents out - especially with the backup from the home which ensures the residents get the best days out possible.

Staff within the home are friendly and welcoming. Mum had previously been in Chapel Level for respite and when requiring long-term care for her the support offered by the home was excellent.

Very welcoming, friendly on each arrival.


The only issue is for my gran to have a chair so she is comfortable and able to join in activities taking place.


I believe the issue is resolved, however, slight lack of communication during this process. Overall my gran is well cared for happy and content.

Mum has been in the home since June 2017. She is peg fed and therefore does not get any food orally. The staff are kind and caring. The activity coordinator has been very good. We have has some trouble getting a chair for mum to be comfortable in when out of her bed and the communication could have
been better relating to this subject. Mum is comfortable in her bed but would like a cup of tea every now and again (more input from SALT would be good) staff and management are very friendly and supportive to both mum and us as a family.

My mother settled quickly to Chapel Level Care Home after having previously moved from a care home to hospital. The staff are lovely and very caring and supportive and the nursing care both present and past has been very attentive and informative, as well as listening to concerns regarding my mother's
health.


The setting is comfortable and access to the extra lounge can make visiting more relaxing, allowing space to sit and chat away from the main area. The activities co-ordinator is dedicated to her job and tries hard to involve both residents and their family/friends. Overall I am happy with everything.

My mother-in-law is in the dementia unit at Chapel Care Home and the care she receives is excellent when visiting if anything is needed the staff are more than happy to assist even with small tasks like pouring a cup of drink.
It is reassuring to know that she is well looked after, fed regularly with
good meals and safe.

My husband has only been here a short time he was not to well when he came here but he has picked up since he has come I would recommend this care home the carers can't do enough fo9r him they are there for his needs as he needs 24 hour care.

My mother-in-law was a resident in Chapel Level for 5 years until she passed away a few weeks ago. I cannot thank the staff enough for making it a safe, comfortable and loving home for her. She was always well cared for, with dignity and respect and was genuinely looked after and loved by all the staff.
Not only did they care for her but for us as well. We are forever grateful to them all.

As a Health Care Professional, Susan has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked in the care sector for many years, Susan closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Susan remarked:


“I enjoy being able to share skills and experiences with fellow Colleagues to allow them to deliver the level of care our Residents need, to make the environment a home from home.”


Susan has also achieved much outside of work, with her proudest achievement being the owner of a special Care Home for elderly ladies.


Outside of work, Susan enjoys going on holiday and spending time with good friends.
