Can not complete full review due to lack of inside visits because of the lockdown. I am perfectly happy with the standard of care that I have witnessed.

My mother has just moved into Woodside Court so it's early days but I did look at previous reviews before deciding this was the care home for my mother. So far all has been extremely good. She has settled and all the staff have been kind and professional.

Sadly, my Mum's residence in Woodside Court was only a short one but in her time there, she was treated with the utmost care and attention possible. I cannot thank everyone there enough for their kindness.

I am very satisfied with the care provided to my wife. She has been in the home since Christmas 2018. The staff are very loving and caring to her and she had told me she liked it there.
I try to take her out most days. She likes to go for a coffee and cake.

I had a very nice time in Woodside Court. The staff were very helpful and nothing was a problem for them no matter what time of day or night. I was made to feel welcome from the moment I arrived and everyone introduced themselves. Meals were excellent and if there was something on the menu I didn't
like the kitchen staff made something I liked. All residents made me feel very welcome into their company during activities tec. Management was excellent and always willing to help if I needed them. Overall great stay and would come back if ever I needed to. Management and staff are a credit to the care home.

After moving my mum from another home to Woodside Court, my mum has been so settled and seen a difference in herself due to the care and attention that my mum received which is outstanding. My mum enjoys the numerous activities that she does and going out also. The care staff are so caring and helpful.
Management are also so good to inform me about anything that's going on.

Mum is comfortable and more settled than she was in hospital.
The staff are very kind and caring and Mum trusts them which is very important.
She won't ask for anything so staff take a minute to see that she can reach what she needs so that Mum won't try to walk for it and fall.

I found each and everyone 1st class could not fault in any way food excellent. Was seen to my every need, missed nothing but I know you have to keep the place warm. But for one that usually feels the cold, hard to sleep on one sheet. The window was wide open and fan going all night and day at my own
request.
In one word, would go there again. If ever I'm in need of respite quite near to home. Perfect because I don't drive and can't always get the family to drive me around or to visit on the way from their work and would recommend to anyone. Residents very sociable also.

Current Review Score: 9.0 (8.958)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (8.958) out of 10 for Woodside Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.675 for Woodside Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (57 Excellents x 5) + (25 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 83 Ratings = 4.675
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.283 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Woodside Court Care Home is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 12 = 0.583
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
