My father has been a resident of this establishment for about a year following a series of strokes. After come initial teething problems that were efficiently and positively dealt with. As a family we are very pleased with the care dad is receiving. In particular, the staff who went the extra mile in preparing this "hub" for a celebration of my parents 64th wedding anniversary for a small family gathering, which both my parents enjoyed immensely. I would like to thank them all for their efforts sincerely.

I am happy with the home, the staff are really helpful, all pleasant and always have a smile. My mum is happy and settled in the home and I would recommend the home to others.

I am very happy that my stepfather is in a better place and getting well-looked after. The home is very good and ideal for his needs. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

On my initial visit back in June, I was immediately welcomed and shown around all areas. I felt that this would be a good place for my dad. When a member of staff visited my dad to assess him in hospital she was very friendly and re-assuring. When my dad arrived on 8/816 he was taken straight to his room and it was a wee bit overwhelming with so much paperwork to look at, although I was able to take it away. My dad has settled well and the staff are lovely.

Fantastic day out at the annual summer fete, everyone was so lovely and couldn't be more helpful. To see the relationship between the staff and carers was lovely to see, where everyone is treated like family. We were all made to feel so welcome and we will definitely be back to join in with open days and special occasions held to raise funds for the residents. Special mention to the activities co-ordinator for arranging a wonderful day for the benefit of the residents, you are a credit to the company.

Both my parents are resident here. I have found staff to be caring and attentive at all times. Despite always being busy all staff take the time to talk and laugh with the residents. The home has a good atmosphere and my parents are happy there. It is a great comfort to me that they are well cared for in every way, that their needs and wishes are met, and that medical support is always at hand.

Mum has been in Woodside Court for 15 months. The care she has received since day one has been excellent. The management and staff are on the ball in aspect of the care provided. I am glad mum was accepted into Woodside Court, I don't think I could have found a better home for her.

Would highly recommend. My mum had to go into Woodside Court for some respite care in December 2015, and we are in the process of moving to a more permanent arrangement. Since I first met the manager, her assistant, and the rest of the team they have been excellent in helping mum to make the difficult transition from living alone at home to moving into care. All the team have been very friendly, attentive and professional. Communication has been excellent and all of this has contributed to mum settling in well and being much more relaxed and content on a daily basis.

Overall Experience

My great grandmother is in this home and all the staff treat her well, although, the home is very understaffed. The carers are very clearly rushed off their feet and have very little time for the residents. Also, while I was walking through the corridor yesterday, a resident was sat outside an office where a carer was sat. The resident was shouting (very clearly needing urgent help) and nobody was helping her. As I thought the carer might not have heard her, I brought the lady shouting for help to his attention. Very bluntly, he responded "yes I know" and turned back around to his cup of tea. I was disgusted in this response. I would not recommend this care home.
