I find this care home to be really good. All the staff are friendly and really care for the residents. The rooms are kept clean and the food always looks delicious.
I am confident that my auntie is well looked after and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Woodside Court to anyone looking for a good care

I have found over two years plus the staff so caring and loving towards residents, from the office lady, carers, kitchen staff and cleaning staff. The home is gold star quality. I would recommend to all families looking for a loving environment for their loved one. The welcome mat is always out. It's
the nicest home I had ever come across.

My mother-in-law settled in here really well and feels safe and secure. She is well looked after by the staff who make sure she is always clean and very neatly dressed. She gets her nails manicured and her hair done at the onsite hair salon every week. There are regular activities for her to take
part in and even though it is difficult for her, the staff ensure that she does get the stimulation she needs. She gets regular visitors and all the staff make everyone feel very welcome. She is well fed and, most of all seems very happy in her surroundings.

This is my mum's 1st care home, she has been resident since August 2016, she settled in very nicely and is always very clean and nicely presented. All of the staff here do a very good job, the whole building is well decorated and always very clean, mum's room has everything she needs and she is free
to come and go to her room if she feels the need for some personal time.

My father has been a resident of this establishment for about a year following a series of strokes. After come initial teething problems that were efficiently and positively dealt with. As a family we are very pleased with the care dad is receiving. In particular, the staff who went the extra mile in
preparing this "hub" for a celebration of my parents 64th wedding anniversary for a small family gathering, which both my parents enjoyed immensely. I would like to thank them all for their efforts sincerely.

On my initial visit back in June, I was immediately welcomed and shown around all areas. I felt that this would be a good place for my dad. When a member of staff visited my dad to assess him in hospital she was very friendly and re-assuring. When my dad arrived on 8/816 he was taken straight to his
room and it was a wee bit overwhelming with so much paperwork to look at, although I was able to take it away. My dad has settled well and the staff are lovely.

Fantastic day out at the annual summer fete, everyone was so lovely and couldn't be more helpful. To see the relationship between the staff and carers was lovely to see, where everyone is treated like family. We were all made to feel so welcome and we will definitely be back to join in with open days
and special occasions held to raise funds for the residents. Special mention to the activities co-ordinator for arranging a wonderful day for the benefit of the residents, you are a credit to the company.

Both my parents are resident here. I have found staff to be caring and attentive at all times. Despite always being busy all staff take the time to talk and laugh with the residents. The home has a good atmosphere and my parents are happy there. It is a great comfort to me that they are well cared for
in every way, that their needs and wishes are met, and that medical support is always at hand.

Current Review Score: 9.0 (8.958)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (8.958) out of 10 for Woodside Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.675 for Woodside Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (57 Excellents x 5) + (25 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 83 Ratings = 4.675
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.283 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Woodside Court Care Home is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 12 = 0.583
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
