Best care home I have been in, family prompted nicely with meals, lovely meals very nourishing and healthy and tasty.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We're happy you felt welcome and enjoyed the meals. It means a lot to hear Fairview was the best care home you've been in! Your kind words mean a lot and will share with our team!
Delighted to visit Fairview yesterday & find decorations & lots of effort to celebrate my in-laws 65th wedding anniversary. They were made to feel so special & lots of staff & service users joined in. The cake, fizz & genuine warmth was very much appreciated & made the whole family including those in N.Z., Australia and Canada all feel involved.

My brother who suffers from Parkinsons desease has bean a resident at Fairview for over a year, he has mood swings and mobility problems but the staff seem to keep him smiling, he is always clean and shaved and when he cant manage through to the dining room they take his meals into his room for him. He is well fed with a varied menu.

My father was a resident. Sadly it was only for 8 weeks but the experience changed all our lives. The care received was beyond our expectations. Nothing was too much trouble. My father suffered from dementia but he clearly loved and trusted those caring for him. Nursing staff were quick to respond to his medical needs. In his final hours I saw staff care not only for him but also my mother. We were all treated like family. The home is spotlessly clean and very welcoming.
Thank you so much for your kind words. The team at Fairview were honoured and privileged to support your father for the last weeks of his life.
The lovely sping flowers at the front door makes the care home a welcoming place to visit. The staff are all so kind and thoughtful not only to my husband also to myself, family and visiting friends. Since my husband has been a resident the staff has spent time to get him back eating and drinking again. A big turn around in 5 weeks. Food is good and plenty of choice as I have stayed for lunch. To the manager and all staff a big thank you fo rall the care and I'm so happy to see a smile on my husbands face which is a big relief for me.

Since my friends husband was admitted to Fairview House I am amazed at the improvement in his physical condition. Prior to him coming here his appetite was non-existent but now he is eating very well. He has good interactions with all staff.

Dad went to Barchester Fairview House Care Home for respite last August and settled in so well he became a resident. He is very independent and all the staff are so supportive helping and encouraging him when needed. The level of care, activities and cleanliness are of a very high standard and any concerns are dealt with immediately. Overall, Fairview has a great atmosphere, is very welcoming and all the staff ensure that residents and their families are treated with compassion and respect.

Unfortunately, my experience on my visit was not good. No receptionist on at the weekend, why? I can't find anyone to speak to regarding my concerns regarding the treatment of the person I was visiting at the home, the staff that I had contact with seemed to talk at the resident and not talk with her and found they seemed unfriendly. I had a look on your website and it looks so lovely and friendly with staff sitting and talking with the residents, that is not what I witnessed on my visit. The basics of caring for people is dignity and respect, which I found lacking.
Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. We're sorry to read that we hadn't met your expectations during your visit. There are always staff available to welcome visitors into our home on weekends, so our apologies if there was a delay in greeting you. The General Manager has contacted you...
Great knowledge of my mum and her circumstances.
Very good, regular updates, offering time to get any requests that we may have dealt with.
Thank you for your kind words. The team at Fairview are passionate about providing the very best care to the people we support.
My mother-in-law was cared for with dignity, and the staff looked after her so well, but they also looked after me as she was on end-of-life care, which was very difficult as I am her next of kin, but the staff kept me informed on her, so I would like to thank each of them.

My mother has been a resident for just over one year and I can honestly say that she is in the best form she's been for years. She is extremely well cared for at Fairview, medically, physically, socially and mentally. A heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Fairview for achieving this.

Mixed. Some good features e.g. activities, unrestricted access, some good caring and considerate staff, some rather abrupt some with limited English making communication difficult. Never enough staff so sometimes long waits for attention.
Thank you for taking the time to add a review. We value feedback shared so that we can work with families to support you and continuously improve our service. We are so sorry that you shared comments on your review about the lack of time from staff, our General Managers operate an open door policy...
The nurses, carers, admin staff have all been professional, approachable and always go above and beyond.
Have to mention one of the carers, in particular - she is always so happy to help and nothing's too much but have to say, all the carers are friendly and helpful.

The Memory Lane staff have one of the most difficult jobs. One can only praise them all for their patience and care. Our father is not the easiest person and difficult to manage. We greatly appreciate Fairview's approach and understanding. Definitely five-star.

My brother is settling into Fairview well. He has been here a few weeks now and is enjoying the food and enjoying the company of others. There is plenty of entertainment going on throughout the day. He is also enjoying his own space in his room with staff popping in and out to see if he requires anything. All in all, we are happy with his care so far.
