Very happy with the care provided for my mum. The home is in a nice setting and is bright and airy. The staff are friendly and caring, and especially in this Covid situation, do remarkably well to keep things as normal as possible. The entertainment lady helps my mum stay in touch with us via video
calls. It's a pleasure to see her face light up when she sees her great-grandson on the screen. Keep up the good work girls and guys it's very much appreciated.

My mother has been a resident for over 3 years now and has received excellent care and support through her onset of vascular dementia. She has a lovely room and ensuite shower room, which are personalised with some of her furniture, paintings, photographs etc. Throughout her deterioration, the staff
have managed the changes with evermore support both mentally and physically. Lethen Park is always spotlessly clean and tidy. The atmosphere is always happy and chatty. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The residents have a very good choice of meals, and their preferences are taken into consideration. The afternoon cuppa and cakes are always very popular. All of the residents are well looked after day and night. To date, Lethen Park staff and residents have been safe from Covid-19, due to the organisation and care of the staff, which has been greatly appreciated by many. Highly recommend Lethen Park.

Lethen Park is a wonderful care home. From the day my mum arrived, she has been treated as a member of the family by all the staff dealing with her. It is clear to me that the ethos is that the staff don’t just care for their residents, they genuinely care about them. This creates a lovely atmosphere
within the community which is evident as soon as you enter the premises. My mum settled in very quickly and was soon integrated into the social fabric. I have been very impressed by the high level of stimulating activity the residents are encouraged to engage in.
Overall, the facilities in Lethen Park are excellent. My mum’s room is well proportioned and we were able to personalise it for her.
My mum has thrived since she moved into Lethen Park. Thankfully, she had settled well prior to the COVID-19 lockdown. Given, the unprecedented challenges during this time, it has been a great comfort to me and our family knowing how well she is being cared for. We are extremely grateful for that.

My Mother has Dementia and has been a resident since December 2017. I was very apprehensive of my mum going into a Care Home and cannot fault Lethen Park. Everyone at the Home is fantastic, they really care about the residents. There is a real sense of fun with lots of activities and generally an
all-round environment of love and care. The Home has set up FaceTime meetings so my family and I can still see and communicate with my mum, which is fantastic. I would like to thank everyone working at the Home for their great work, enthusiasm and care.

We are very happy with the care and support my dad is getting at Lethen Park. During the lockdown, we have been able to have weekly video call sessions with him where a staff member supports my dad to be able to see us on the screen.
The staff are all very friendly and caring to not just the residents
but also their families and are on hand to listen to any concerns or questions that we may have.

My mum has been in Lethen Park since October last year. Staff are outstanding and treat her with respect, warmth and such kindness. During this difficult time with covid-19 we are unable to visit, staff have set up video call sessions so that our family can communicate with her. This has meant so much
to my dad and I and also My mum. So thank you to all the staff at Lethen Park, you are doing a wonderful job. Stay safe.

My husband has been at Lethen Park for two and a half years due to having Early-onset Alzheimers. From the many nursing homes we viewed, it was an easy choice for him to move there, the team - both caring and office wise - are simply wonderful, so caring, professional, and they really understand Alzheimer's
how it both affects the resident and also their family. Many of their team members have worked at Lethen for many years, which in itself speaks volumes. The whole family were made welcome and we were able to personalise his room, making it special for him. My husband immediately settled there, Lethen becoming his home, the quality of care is exceptional; personal care; nursing care; laundry; housekeeping. There is a plentiful supply of food; breakfast, lunch and dinner, with morning cuppas and afternoon coffees and cakes, plus supper.
It is so hard letting your loved one move into residential care, however, Lethen makes the move so much easier.

My uncle loves it so much, I never thought of putting my uncle in a care home before but I went and looked at them and Barchester Lethen Park Care Home was by far the best one and we were so happy to take him there. It is so caring and loving and very welcoming as well.

My Father started in a residential care home. Unfortunately, after a stressful experience, we had to transfer to another home. Our first visit to Lethan Park we found the manager and admin staff very helpful and friendly. My Father has now settled down without any difficulties thanks to all the staff's
caring, cheerfulness and support. I would have no problem at all in recommending Lethen Park to anyone.

My mother has been at Lethen Park for sixteen months and although it has taken a while for her to settle, I see a peacefulness that never existed when she was in her own home. Ideally, there should be more staff to give each service user the help they need, simple things like being taken to the toilet
when they ask, without having to wait until there is enough staff to do so. More activities and stimulation would be a real benefit as would outings.

Overall my aunt is happy in Lethen Park, the staff are all lovely to her, even when they are extremely busy with residents who require a lot more care. She told me today (Sat 21/10/17) that is was the best ever afternoon she has had since moving to the home, the new activities leader has some excellent
and fresh ideas to involve them in and she appreciates it all. Relatives and residents are made to feel very welcome to join in the activities, she is there for us, as well as residents, very welcoming, we know when we are not there she is occupied and joining in some activity. Overall we are happy with the home, the downside is the turnover of staff, hopefully, that might settle down soon, as they are a great team.

My father settled in without any difficulties. I found the whole experience of putting my father into a care home very emotional. The staff were very supportive and I couldn't have got through without them. This covers the whole team, domestic, nursing, catering, manager etc.
My father's needs are
always taken care of with care and dignity. Staff make me feel welcome when I visit.

The staff work extremely hard, it's not an easy job. The furnishings in the rooms are very basic considering it costs my mother £1500 a week. The armchairs in the common room are fabric which is a bad idea because some are urinated on. The staff do wash them (wipe them actually) but I think they should
be covered in a waterproof material. New dining tables and chairs in the eating area are ideal.

Staff are always helpful and found management recently, no dealings at all. Could be doing with a more hands on manager like in the past. Home is needing refurbishment.

After having spent six months in a psychiatric hospital, my husband was discharged to Lethen Park in March 2017. The initial impression was one of "calm" after being in an environment of very sick people. Like everywhere else, a nursing home depends on caring staff.


For the most part, Lethen Park

has very caring staff working in very difficult circumstances. Staffing has been stretched during the holiday period and there are a lot of inexperienced staff under training. The priority for them must be kindness and care - this is far more than a job!!


I am happy most of the time and if I have any problems I express them and they are rectified. The department could do with more space but residents seem content.

Excellent care home. Staff are always friendly, smiling and very helpful. Sometimes I get the impression short staffed especially at weekends though. Mum has settled in well and lots of activities now. Only bad comment I would say is sometimes bathroom not cleaned properly i.e especially the floor but
it could be it's cleaned in morning and accidents happen later which is no fault of the staff.
Food seems good and varied and alternatives offered.
Overall I highly recommend this care home and I think the staff are wonderful that I have met.
They are happy and caring and seem to have a wonderful rapport with residents.

My Mum has been in Barchester Lethen Park Care Home for a few years now and I have had no concerns about her care. The staff are friendly and very capable. My mum settled in right away and was aware of her surroundings before her dementia got too bad. Many of the staff are still there and have been
for many years and know my Mum well. I was my Mum's main carer so I know I can visit her and come away knowing she is in good hands. Thank you all so much.
