Barchester Lethen Park Care Home Reviews (64)
Barchester Lethen Park Care Home has a Review Score of 9.7 (9.737) out of 10, based on 16 reviews in the last 2 years.
Over all time Barchester Lethen Park Care Home has 64 reviews.
Staff are always helpful and found management recently, no dealings at all. Could be doing with a more hands on manager like in the past. Home is needing refurbishment.
Thank you so much for your review. I will pass on your comments to the staff. I have just joined the home mid August and hopefully you will see a lot more of me when you are in. Please feel free to come in for a chat and a coffee as my door is always opened.
After having spent six months in a psychiatric hospital, my husband was discharged to Lethen Park in March 2017. The initial impression was one of "calm" after being in an environment of very sick people. Like everywhere else, a nursing home depends on caring staff.
For the most part, Lethen Park has very caring staff working in very difficult circumstances. Staffing has been stretched during the holiday period and there are a lot of inexperienced staff under training. The priority for them must be kindness and care - this is far more than a job!!
I am happy most of the time and if I have any problems I express them and they are rectified. The department could do with more space but residents seem content.
Food seems good and varied and alternatives offered.
Overall I highly recommend this care home and I think the staff are wonderful that I have met.
They are happy and caring and seem to have a wonderful rapport with residents.
My Mum has been in Barchester Lethen Park Care Home for a few years now and I have had no concerns about her care. The staff are friendly and very capable. My mum settled in right away and was aware of her surroundings before her dementia got too bad. Many of the staff are still there and have been for many years and know my Mum well. I was my Mum's main carer so I know I can visit her and come away knowing she is in good hands. Thank you all so much.

Hi, my name is Helen, and I am acting General Manager here at Lethen Park care home.
I have worked in the healthcare sector for over 20 years and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the home. I like to build strong working relationships with the team and stakeholders involved.
The quality of care that all my residents receive is my passion, and I aim to ensure that all the residents in my care receive the best and most person-centred care possible.

Hi, my name is Patricia, and I am the Deputy Home Manager here at Lethen Park.
I joined Barchester in September 2024, and I have quickly become attached to the home’s warm, family-like atmosphere. The sense of community here is truly special, and I’m very proud of our team.
I previously worked as a nurse primarily in acute settings, and my previous experience as a clinical coordinator has provided me with valuable knowledge and experience, which I bring to Lethen Park to achieve favourable outcomes.
As part of the management team, I am committed to assisting Annette, the general manager, in providing the highest quality of care, ensuring each resident feels at home and that their families have peace of mind knowing their loved ones are in caring and professional hands.

I lead a great, friendly team and enjoy having great residents around me, and that makes all jobs worth doing.

We all know that keeping active is important. We have created a wonderful culture within the home, and we work together to give residents the best possible experience. We are here to ensure that residents enjoy an environment that is both stimulating and socially active.
We ensure the team knows each resident's preferences, so that we can deliver a person-centred program of events and activities. Essential to our homely feel is the strong relationships of trust we build with residents and their families and friends
