I would like to thank all the staff at Archview Lodge for the efforts they have made to get to know my husband in order to understand his needs and wishes and do their best to meet them, since he moved to Archview earlier this year. It was always going to be a life changing and difficult step for him to take, but I know we made the right choice in Archview Lodge. Seeing the staff hard at work throughout the home brings home to me all the time just how professional and kind each one of them is, whether their role is nursing, caring, catering, activities, gardening, maintenance or management. There is always such a warm, friendly and personalised atmosphere throughout the home, and the surrounding woodlands and bird song always lift my husband's spirits and mine when we go out into the grounds.

My sister has been a resident since December and she has settled in surprisingly well considering how Independant she was prior to a lengthy hosp stay, then onto intermediate care then finally admitted to Archview. She seems happy and content and we as a family are delighted with the care she is receiving. We are kept informed fully of any changes to my sister's well being, communication is excellent. We just wish she would participate and engage with the activity staff, however on saying that she is a very private person. Many thanks to all the staff for looking after our sister so well.

over a year now and don't get down to visit as often as we'd like to. I'm so grateful for all the support my dad has been given.
Thank you for this lovely review, Susan, we appreciate your feedback and are glad that you feel so confident in the care that Dad is receiving. I will ensure that this feedback gets passed to the team looking after him and wish you and your mum well.
I also know there was a whole team involved with caring for my mum and I'm really grateful but I'd particularly like to mention two nurses, in particular, as they both were so kind and helpful to me too!
It's not always an easy job looking after one elderly person - let alone many and manage relatives too.
Archview is a special place and I'm so glad we have found it.
Wishing all staff a happy Christmas!
Thank you!.

This placement for my sister has been such a positive experience, both for her as the service user and for our family. Staff are wonderful, caring and supportive. The range of activities available is great. Nursing staff are on the ball and we have no worries about the care given. The best care facility in our area. Would recommend to any family requiring a care facility for a loved one.

Review of my mum went well, covering all aspects of her care. Her diet was covered and updates of how her food intake was going, it was encouraging to hear how she has settled into Barchester Archview Lodge Care Home in the last six months. Love my short stay at Archview.

Meet the Team (5)

Hi, my name is Sarah and I am the General Manager here at Archview Lodge.
Here you will have the opportunity to look further into what Archview Lodge can offer you and your loved one. You will also be able to familiarise yourself with the team who all assist in delivering quality person-centred care daily.
I have over 30 years of nursing experience; I trained and worked in London teaching hospitals before living abroad and then moving back to Scotland to be nearer to family. I love being a nurse and particularly enjoy looking after older adults, who I feel can offer us new insights into life. I find this area of nursing very rewarding and it’s a privilege to work with the team at Archview.

I was inspired to become a nurse by my mother, who was also a nurse at Archview Lodge many years ago.
I successfully joined Archview as a Nurse with the support of the staff. I can truly say that I was mentored well by the Senior Nurse and have developed many skills attributed to high-quality care. I am now proud to be the Deputy Home Manager after a period leading the ground floor unit and I strive to inspire others to become positive leaders who deliver a high standard of care to residents.

Hi, my name is Kasia and I have been an Admin Assistant at Archview Lodge since 2014. I am originally from Poland but have lived in Scotland since 2006. I find Scotland such a friendly and welcoming country to live in.

I’ve worked at Archview from August 1997. I am married and have 3 children and 2 granddaughters. My ambition in life is to enjoy every day and make people smile.

Hello, my name is Mary. I have worked in Archview for 15 years and love my job.
As an Activity Coordinator I work along side Diane and Sally and must say we are a great team! I love organising outings and other activities, like our Archview Shows, for our wonderful residents!
