All staff attentive to patients and families. Memory lane is highly recommended.
Activity team work hard to keep patients active and bring a huge variety of entertainment and things of interest to the residents.
Mum passed away early April, care was first class and staff worked closely with the GP.
Mum has been extremely well cared for as have the family. We have spent a lot of time over the past few months in Memory Lane visiting Mum and have been welcomed by all. You can't fail to notice time and care given to all and great patience shown. Sadly for us, Mum passed early April but again, palliative care (and care to us all) was second to none. Management were very proactive and all staff (reception/cleaners etc) were friendly and obviously take pride in their work.
Care continues to be delivered to his individual needs in a gentle, friendly, yet respectful manner.
All grades of staff endeavour to ensure the atmosphere is a happy one with lots of 'love' and laughter whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Meals are nutritious and well prepared with a varied choice.
Relatives are always made to feel very welcome and are well informed about the health and well-being of their loved one.
I am very reassured knowing that my father is living at Archview.
My mother has now been a resident for nearly five years at Archview Lodge. I am very pleased with the care she gets as she gets progressively worse. The management team are very approachable, nursing team very dedicated, carers are young (most of them) but nice, caring girls and men. The kitchen staff make lovely meals and really try to please everyone and the cleaners do a good job and the laundry is always well done. Overall a very happy environment to leave an elderly relative.
When my aunt first arrived at Archview, she took some time to settle. The staff were wonderfully patient, kind and understanding. As the team of staff were consistently the same for her 5-month stay we all got to know each other quickly. Throughout her stay, she was treated with dignity, kindness and as an individual. My aunt was continually offered choices (food, activities etc) and her decision was respected. I felt included in the care that she was given and never had to worry about my aunt. She was given a lovely quality of life.
My father enjoyed his time at Archview. I felt a lot of comfort knowing that he was well looked after. He loved the genuine affection he received from all the staff.
All staff across the board showed genuine affection for my grandfather, I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home.
Thank you to the manager and her team.
My Mother was admitted to Archview Lodge Care Home in June 2016 with a chronic ulceration to one leg in particular. This condition had been ongoing from 2015. Prior to her recent move, Mother received occasional treatment as an inpatient for five weeks in hospital in January 2016 when a nurse was available or the ulcers were leaking and Mother would ring for help. From Hospital she was transferred to an interim Care Home in February 2016 where she remained until June. The condition of the ulcers deteriorated significantly between February and June. After only three months in Archview Lodge Care Home, my Mother's leg is healed due entirely to the dedication of the Nursing staff. As a family, we have seen the photographic evidence. It was staggering. Need I say more ?
My mother in law became a resident in the home in August 2016. From the start, the staff have been very friendly to all visitors and are very caring to the residents. In the first few weeks, the staff spent time finding my mother in law's needs and getting to know her as an individual which was a great help in getting her to 'settle in'.
Two years ago I was searching for a care home for my very elderly parents. Of the eight homes we visited, Archview immediately became the preferred choice. It presented an image of a warm, friendly and caring environment, where all the staff truly respected the residents and their needs.
My parents were fortunate to be eventually accepted as residents in Archview, where they were able to spend their final years together with care and attention of the highest quality. All of the staff … the general manager, the nursing staff, the carers and all the ancillary personnel showed a personal interest in the residents. Most noticeably, they all appeared to enjoy what they were doing and nothing, not even the occasional special request, was considered to be an obstacle.
Considering I live overseas and was not able to be with my parents immediately in the case of illness or emergencies, it was comforting to have the confidence that they were being looked after so well.
My aunt moved into the care home in May. The process was very easy. The general manager was extremely helpful and informative. All the other staff are lovely and caring. I have peace of mind she is being looked after. There is so many social activities she has attended and she is enjoying life. She said she is not going anywhere else from here and said she should've done it sooner.
Mum has stayed in Archview for almost a year now, from day one meeting the manager we knew we had made the correct choice. Mum is very happy and well cared for, she feels safe and has taken a new lease of life!! All the staff team from the manager down are very caring, professional, approachable and always friendly. They are very respectful to residents and their families alike. Residents are always treated with dignity and as individuals where their independence is provided. The staff go over and above the call of duty. There is always a fun, warm, homely atmosphere. A large part of the worry and stress has been lifted since mum has been starying in Archview. I feel our family has become a lot bigger, as not only has mum forged new friendships our family has as well. Hats off to all the staff of Archview Lodge
There are regular activities and entertainment involving friends and families of the residents as well as the wider community, which provide funding for ongoing residents entertainment.
We were lucky to find anywhere that provided the care required and allowed my parents to remain together in the same room, after 60 years together it was not an option to split them up. We are all so grateful that not only do they remain together but that they managed to find a wonderful care facility in which to do so in Archview Lodge.
Our parents moved to Archview Lodge 8 months ago and very quickly settled in due to the professionalism and friendliness of ALL the staff and other residents. Our whole family are welcomed as participants in their new community, which we very much value. My sister and I both have POA and have been very much involved in their care and well being for several years. Archview Lodge consult our parents and us about their care needs and we are informed quickly and honestly of any incidents or concerns, so they are resolved as we would all prefer. Archview Lodge is a lovely, safe and happy place for mum and dad to remain together for as long as they can.
The Archview team provides professional care and friendship to residents and their relatives in a way that creates a true family and homely feeling. They take time to understand the personality and character of their residents and help them to forge friendships. The constant worry and concern for mum's welfare and security has been unbelievably eased by the high quality care provided, and she has a happy and contented home environment.
Thank you so much for your kind comments. The staff at Archview are committed to delivering the highest standard of care to the residents.

Meet the Team (5)

Hi, my name is Sarah and I am the General Manager here at Archview Lodge.
Here you will have the opportunity to look further into what Archview Lodge can offer you and your loved one. You will also be able to familiarise yourself with the team who all assist in delivering quality person-centred care daily.
I have over 30 years of nursing experience; I trained and worked in London teaching hospitals before living abroad and then moving back to Scotland to be nearer to family. I love being a nurse and particularly enjoy looking after older adults, who I feel can offer us new insights into life. I find this area of nursing very rewarding and it’s a privilege to work with the team at Archview.

I was inspired to become a nurse by my mother, who was also a nurse at Archview Lodge many years ago.
I successfully joined Archview as a Nurse with the support of the staff. I can truly say that I was mentored well by the Senior Nurse and have developed many skills attributed to high-quality care. I am now proud to be the Deputy Home Manager after a period leading the ground floor unit and I strive to inspire others to become positive leaders who deliver a high standard of care to residents.

Hi, my name is Kasia and I have been an Admin Assistant at Archview Lodge since 2014. I am originally from Poland but have lived in Scotland since 2006. I find Scotland such a friendly and welcoming country to live in.

I’ve worked at Archview from August 1997. I am married and have 3 children and 2 granddaughters. My ambition in life is to enjoy every day and make people smile.

Hello, my name is Mary. I have worked in Archview for 15 years and love my job.
As an Activity Coordinator I work along side Diane and Sally and must say we are a great team! I love organising outings and other activities, like our Archview Shows, for our wonderful residents!
