Springfield Bank Care Home

My mum was admitted to Springfield Bank in March 2026 but sadly passed away at the beginning of September. I want you to know all of the staff made my mum's last 6 months of her life amazing. I was able to be a daughter again not a carer. She had the best care I could have hoped for until the very end. I cannot praise all the staff highly enough. Words can't express how I feel. This is an amazing place

We have found Springfield Bank to be a happy welcoming home. My dad is well looked after and says that the staff are lovely and the food is good. We particularly like the fact that there is always something going on when you walk in.

My gran has been living in Springfield Bank for 2 years now and the care has always been exceptional. There is a homely feel as soon as you walk in the door and the staff are always friendly and approachable. The managers door is always open when I have any questions. My gran appears very happy and gives us peace of mind that she is safe and well looked after.

Mim enjoys the activities on offer and thinks the food is fantastic. We're very pleased in our choice of care home!

Dad has been in Springfield for just over 3 months. Seeing him moving into care was difficult for the whole family; however, it is very comforting to see him here. The premises, staff and facilities are all first class. He appears settled, comfortable and well looked after.

My father recently celebrated his 100th birthday and the home was first class in arranging his special day from entertainment, food and special cake. Everyone made a fuss of him and it certainly made his day for him. According to my dad, he could do with bigger portions as he says he is always hungry but you don't know whether to believe him as he has early-stage dementia. Rooms are a bit tired, could do with refresh. He would like more trips out. Communication with us could be better.

We feel she is listened to and asked for suggestions to better her experience and this is quickly acted on. The very fact that we recommend the home to my best friend for her father also reflects how we feel about it. Activities and outings are also excellent and keep Mum up to date on what is going on, e.g. Valentine's, Easter, any royal occasion are all celebrated. The office is always open and accessible for any queries and staff are lovely.

Can't fault anything. Staff friendly, can't do enough for you. Make sure visitors are always looked after. Wife is super happy and well looked after.

Clean and friendly environment.

Nice home but at weekends not enough staff as everytime I visit on a Sunday there is sometimes no one up at entrance to look after residents and no one would know if there was a fall till later which is not good enough. Also think the residents would be better engaged with more activity as there seems to be very little at the moment.

Lovely person, understanding person to me and all the staff are great and making sure my gran needs all she needs. The new room my gran's in is great and she loves the activities.

The team at Springfield Bank is absolutely amazing! They truly go the extra mile for my Dad and all the residents there. I can't express enough gratitude for their continuous hard work, often without receiving the acknowledgement they truly deserve. It's a huge relief for us to leave, knowing that he is receiving top-notch care! Thank you immensely to all the staff at Springfield Bank!

The staff are excellent and made her time there so good and happy.

I find the care to be excellent. My humble abode, however, they need to exercise some restraint. My room was a bit of a muddle but I knew where everything was. I had taken the time to take the lids off of boxes, tins etc. before I knew it, some of the boxes had been torn up. I have a bookcase, I have access to the bank when it is available and hopefully a social worker, they seem reliable.

My auntie is well looked after and tells me she loves it there.

I feel my dad has been well supported, his needs are met and staff are keen to help and I have found staff approachable, they listen and great communication. One nurse in particular has been attentive, so have two other specific staff members. Another specific staff member is available to listen and so is the new nurse (department leader that was bank staff). She chats and updates us. I am pleased we chose here.

I have always felt very welcomed when visiting my sister-in-law. The staff are very attentive to her needs.

I feel that there has been an improvement in the care home in the past six months. I requested a more personal approach for the residents and this has been implemented by laminating on all doors with some personnel details and information of interest to staff who may be new or bank. One area which could be improved would be an electronic air deodoriser which would help mask the many odours from a large group of people. These are common in hotels and public toilets.

My wife came from the hospital to Springfield Bank. From day one and every day thereafter, the care and nursing were excellent. We had no complaints whatsoever. Each member of staff had great care and compassion. I would recommend Springfield Bank to anyone! My wife was in the right place to get the best care.
