My father was a resident at Crofthead for 5 months and as a family we were delighted with the care he has had and grateful to all the team who cared for him. The staff are all kind and friendly and treated my father with great dignity. Moving someone into care is a huge decision and I would recommend Crofthead highly to anyone.
Thankyou for your kind words and review. We are glad to hear you were delighted with the care that the team provided. The staff will be pleased to hear this. Best wishes.
Mum has been in her care home since 5 June 2026, and I want to share how grateful we are for the team there. Every member of staff has been so patient, kind and genuinely caring with her. They make her smile, they take their time, and treat her with real dignity. Moving mum from being cared for by me and my sisters to needing 24 hr nursing support was one of the hardest steps we've ever had to take. We worried how she'd react, especially since she always said she had us & didn't need anyone else. But she's settled far better than we ever expected. She gets on with staff and really enjoys the activities especially the bingo & Elvis tunes. Knowing she's safe, supported, and not alone in her house anymore has lifted a huge weight from us. In many ways, it feels like the bigger adjustment has been ours, not hers. We're hoping this journey continues as positively as it's begun, and we're incredibly thankful for the care and compassion shown to Mum every day.
compassionate and homely environment every day.
One suggestion would be more activities for the Poppy unit, hopefully once the (O/T) assessments have been conducted they can take advantage of these opportunities
Activities are a very important part of the residents day and our Occupational Therapist will enable the team
to provide a more person centred approach to the activities we provide.
My mum moved into Crofthead this year February I couldn't be happier with the care she receives here. I know my mum is safe and being extremely well looked after and her needs are being met; she always look fresh and happy she is also well stimulated and kept entertained. I would also like to say the staff here are amazing and provide a home from home family feel
is well looked after. We will make sure we share your feedback with everyone involved in Mums care.
Staff are very pleasant and caring towards the residents. Care home is kept very clean and tidy.
Thank you for your positive review, the team will be delighted with this feedback.
It is reassuring to know that my dad is safe and his physical and emotional needs are being met. Delighted with the client centered approach, staff take time to know my dad's preferences and engage him in appropriate activities. Very pleased with range of meals served and snacks during the day. Special thanks to the activity coordinator team.
At Crofthead we strive to provide high quality person centered care.
From the moment she arrived, our mum was treated with dignity, kindness and respect. Staff took the time to really get to know her and that made an enormous difference to her comfort and wellbeing. Nothing ever felt rushed or impersonal- there was always patience, warmth, reassurance and laughter.
Staff were consistently attentive and professional and we were kept well informed throughout. We always felt listened to, supported and welcomed.
In our mum's final days, the care provided was outstanding-calm, compassionate and focused on her comfort and dignity.
We take great comfort knowing that our mum was safe, cared for and treated with such humanity at the end of her life. We cannot thank the staff enough for the kindness they showed her and us. Crofthead Care Home will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Thankyou very much for your kind words. We are sorry for your loss and it means a lot to us that you took the time to give us such a lovely review. Lovely care home - take great care of my mum. Staff are always friendly & welcoming.
Thank you, we are pleased that you feel Mum is well cared for.
I am very happy with the level of care provided to my sister. Staff go over and above to ensure her needs are met. This included a special birthday party organised by the home. Given my sister is relatively younger that other residents, it is important that this is taken into full account in planning her activity schedule. Highly recommend Crofthead Care Home.
Thankyou for your kind words, we are pleased to hear that you would recommend Crofthead.

The team have been incredibly kind and welcoming to my mother since her admission. They have encouraged and supporting her with eating which was a main concern to us prior to her move. Our father, and family are very happy with all aspects of his stay in Crofthead. All staff are professional, very caring and friendly. I've witnessed first hand their caring friendly nature in their contact with dad. It is clear to see they care deeply about their charges. My father has commented how he feel safe an secure in the care provided by Crofthead.

My relative is very settled in the care home. Her day to day wishes are respected, and she has been able to continue her life in a similar manner to the way she lived at home. The staff are attentive, caring and professional, and my relative demonstrates a fondness for them. The wider family are always made very welcome in the home, and there has been very good 2 way communication with staff of all disciplines and levels. I have also benefited from their emotional support over the last few years.
