Redmill Care Home, in the picturesque town of East Whitburn in West Lothian, supports older people to lead their best lives with personalised nursing and nursing dementia care.

The lovely home offers many facilities for residents to enjoy such as on-site hair salon, landscaped garden, sensory garden and lovely patio area to enjoy the warmer weather. The enhanced wellbeing programme allows residents to pursue hobbies and interests whilst learning new skills.

From care assistants and nurses, to wellbeing coordinators and chefs, each and every member of the professional care team is there to assist you or your loved one in settling into the home. With a wealth of knowledge and experience in the care sector, the home manager leads the team to ensure residents are supported to lead their best lives at Redmill.

I feel Redmill has drastically improved in the last 6 months, my Mum is taken care of so well and the staff now are second to none. I have peace of mind now when I leave her, I feel confident she is looked after and I can sleep better at night.

When I realised my husband needed 24-hour care the first thing I said to the social worker was no way would he ever go into Redmill Care Home. When I was told there was a room available I went for a look around and was pleasantly surprised at how good the home looked, no smell when you entered the reception
area and rooms and all other areas were nice and clean. I would now recommend Redmill to everyone, the staff from management to carers, cleaners and activities are excellent. My husband has settled in well and we are happy with the care he is receiving.

My dad has been a resident at Redmill for around 8 weeks now; he has settled in well, and the care he receives from the staff is fantastic. Myself and my family are so happy that we chose Redmill for my dad's care. The staff are all very approachable, and we receive regular updates on my dad's well-being
almost daily. We couldn't be happier, and I just want to say a special thank you to all staff, nurses cleaners etc, for all they do. Everyone associated with Redmill does a sterling job, and you should all be proud of yourselves. It's been tough for us all as a family, but the care my dad receives makes it all that little bit easier. Thank you so much.

I find the care home meets my mother-in-law's needs. She has settled in well, likes the staff and they have got used to her. Her personal care needs are all met. She would tell you if she is displeased with anything. Glad she has settled in your care home.

Have noticed a difference recently due to a change in management. More staff now on duty and activities have increased to keep my mum occupied. Mum now seems more happy and this then reflects back to the family. Due to previous issues, these have not been rectified and staff are more than happy to help.

Please seriously consider another Home for your loved one, this is a very dangerous place, we have had numerous reports to Social Work and the Care Quality Commission.
We as a family are so concerned on my mother's safety that social workers are trying to get Mum into a place of safety. Mum has been
there since 2016 and Redmill has gone from one of the best pre-Covid to one of the worst with the Home using foreign Bank Staff with no concept with around 40% of staff able to talk spoken English.

Mum has been a resident since 2016, this has gone from one of the best care homes to one of the worst with complaints made to Scottish Social Services. Council and an investigation ongoing, pre covid was fantastic home, but not now.

Due to an outbreak of sickness and diarrhoea, no visiting is allowed. Getting someone to answer the phone is very difficult so that I can speak with my wife, even after being told someone would call me back.

Redmill Care Home is a beautiful place to stay. The residents are treated with dignity. All the staff are very kind and helpful, they do a great job. The management team are also very helpful and kind, very special people. The rooms are a good size and clean. The food and drinks are very good. The residents

My mother is a recent resident. It has taken her a wee while to get used to her new surroundings. Redmil gives me peace of mind that she is in a safe environment. The staff are all lovely and caring, the food is good, and they organise a lot of activities to keep them entertained. The home is spotless.
I'm always kept well informed by the staff. Thank you for all you do.

I've not been coming very long so can't pass too much of a comment. Everything, so far, is satisfactory except not enough activities.
Secretary - nurses are very nice and helpful.

We strive to support those in our care by offering both mentally and physically stimulating activities to enhance our residents’ social, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. We have a rolling programme of activities which is posted throughout the Care Home and our Wellbeing Co-ordinator is aware of everyone’s individual wishes and desires. As with everything we do, resident wishes are respected, and residents are offered to participate as they wish. Some people like to participate in all organised activities, others prefer one-to-one time with their friends, family or a member of staff and we offer and welcome the individual’s choices. Our Facebook Page is where we post photos of activities our residents have enjoyed. We use the Remembering Together booklets to develop individualised wellbeing programmes to enhance people’s lives spiritually, physically, and socially. Please speak to the Care Home Manager and Wellbeing Co-ordinator who will be happy to share the activities planned for the Care Home.

The care given and affection shown to my dad who is not easy to communicate with has been excellent. He is looked after in exactly the way I would wish for. I cannot fault the staff and think they do a fantastic job caring for my dad. These are difficult circumstances but I really appreciate all the

The care my mum has received since her arrival here has been outstanding. Staff are kind and diligent in everything they do. They are also mindful of my feelings and needs as my mum's dementia progresses. I have no concerns over how my mum will be treated as this is always respectful.

Dad is very settled, gets treated well and his needs are well catered for. Our mum died here at Christmas and the care and treatment she received was excellent. The support we were given as a family was excellent too. Any issues we had were addressed immediately. For example, being able to stay over

My husband is settled and happy and the carers and staff are excellent. The staff have worked exceptionally hard during covid closures and I know I can contact them any time day or night to speak to my husband or enquire how he is.

My gran and aunt arrived together in rooms next door to each other. From the outset, the staff have been tremendous and helped them both settle, nothing was too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend Redmill, myself and family will always be grateful for the excellent care provided.

My mum has been here for six to seven months at Redmill and she loves it. The care shown to her by everyone at Redmill is incredible. She has settled in well, my mum is so much better for being in here. Staff at Redmill care home are very welcoming and very caring.

My husband has been a resident in Redmill Care Home since June 2021. All the staff and management made him welcome and due to Covid restrictions, he had to isolate for 14 days. Everyone took special care of him and he is now happy and settled. I would recommend Redmill highly to family and friends.

An anniversary and was so impressed by the things that the staff had done to make it so special. They were wonderful so they really did not need to, but great. All was lovely and clean with lots of extras to make it a lovely day. They were all so caring and making sure everyone was alright. What a lovely
