I would say that Victoria Manor Windsor Unit and all their staff have been wonderful throughout the time that my mum joined them in this wonderful company nursing home. Couldn't thank them enough.

Mum has been a resident in Balmoral House in the Dementia Unit in Victoria Manor for nearly five years. I cannot praise the staff highly enough, their dedication, person-centred approach and love for their residents are exceptional. No more so during some difficult times. I cannot begin to imagine what it has been like for the staff during the pandemic. The commitment and personal sacrifices they have made to ensure Mum and her friends are being cared for is gratifying. It has been a difficult time for us as a family, not spending precious time with Mum this year, however, our video links and knowing she is in the loving tender care of the exceptional staff in Balmoral has given our family such peace of mind. During our visits prior to Covid, we built a bond with residents, relatives and staff and it felt like an extension to our/mums family. It was a difficult time for us when Mum eventually required 24hour care, however, we as a family are so glad we chose Victoria Manor.

Over Mum's 4 year stay there were several changes in management and staff. The latest management team are certainly the best. Their providing the best care possible for all residents is at the core of all they do. All the staff in the S.C. unit were determined to provide a caring atmosphere for the residents and went out of their way to obtain extra foods/snacks to cater for individual residents. The latest activity coordinators had introduced many new activities to help stimulate/motivate individuals and groups. If remaining in their own home is no longer practical Victoria Manor excellently takes over.

The Saxe Cobur's staff and the admin staff at Victoria Manor have been very caring towards my Mum's stay at the unit. Whenever I have called, no matter what time, they would take the time out to make sure I was informed about her wellbeing. It has bee difficult due to the restrictions of Covid-19, but they have been so kind and caring.

My Gran became a resident at the Victoria Care Home at end February 2020 and sadly passed away in October.
The family would like to say “Thank You” to the Team at Saxe Coburg unit.
Simple words of gratitude for the kindness and help your team gave.
It’s not easy when we’re trying to express how you and your team touched our lives and brought such care, compassion to Gran and the family.
I hope these words can manage to perfectly convey the care that has been shown. Only so far words can go, because your time, thoughtfulness means more than you know.

In the current situation since March with COVID-19, the family couldn’t get in and your team had to give our love ones more reassurance on their safety and extra care. You all had worked extremely hard under challenging circumstances. We did appreciate everything you did. Thank you.

My aunt became a resident of Victoria Manor care home in Oct 2020. She was transferred from hospital on a long term basis. As I stay some distance away all dealings between myself and the care home were by telephone. The transfer process was seamless and went without hitch My aunt appears to have settled in and I have phoned on several occasions to ask of her welfare and all staff I have spoken to have been most helpful.

While Victoria Manor has changed hands over the past year, the building and gardens around the units continue to be well maintained and credit should go to the staff involved in this.
During the 20 months that mum has been a resident, she has been looked after extremely well by a group of dedicated and caring staff who go out of their way to make her life comfortable and as good as possible.
While Balmoral unit and the care home generally had some issues highlighted by the Care Commission at last year's inspection, the management have since made great strides in resolving these issues.

It is imperative that HC-One do everything possible to ensure that we keep a high quality of care and retain the excellent staff that we now have in place.
