My uncle has been a resident of Almond View for nearly two years, and I have been able to witness at close hand the quality of care he has received in that time. I have to praise all the staff for their hard work and for the kindness they show when engaging with my uncle and all the other residents.
There is a genuine feeling of community within the home, which is fostered by the staff, and it is a great comfort to me knowing that my uncle is in an environment where he safe, treated with dignity and respect and, most importantly, where he is happy. The staff deserve great credit for their efforts, and I cannot thank them enough.

Mum's home for the last four and a half years of her life was Almond View. From the start, she was impressed with her room and the facilities but what really made it special was the caring and attentive staff, always ready with a smile, a hello and a wee chat.
The activities coordinator was warm,
welcoming and very enthusiast about all her great ideas for keeping everyone entertained.
I have been very happy with the kind, friendly and positive attitude shown by all of the staff, some of whom were even familiar with mum's extended family!
Staff and nurses always showed kindness and understanding and kept us fully informed of mum's well being. Office staff have been amazingly helpful throughout, I and all of our family very much appreciate the care and companionship that mum enjoyed.

My mother has been in this care home for a number of years now and I've never had to complain or criticise about anything.
I've always found the home to be clean and warm. The staff have been friendly and always seem to be caring for the residents when we are there.
The cost of the home is not cheap
but on par with other homes, which I don't feel match the standards.
All in all, please keep up your standards and avoid raising the costs.

My Aunt was in this care home for a number of years. I often asked her if she was happy with the home and she always gave a positive answer. Being the person that handled all her finances I was extremely happy with the efficiency of the accounts staff.

Almond View is a very well run care home. Management, office, nurses, carers, cleaning, laundry, kitchen, activities coordinator and maintenance are efficient, friendly, helpful and caring. The care given is of a very high standard as is the food. The staff know my husband well and tend to his needs
accordingly. Meals are varied and nutritious. The service users are given plenty of fluids. The manager is always happy to discuss anything regarding my husband's care, equally, she is available for a friendly chat with me. The home, the bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and always smell fresh. I can understand why this care home has been given a high rating by the care inspectorate. The staff are to be commended for their professionalism, caring nature and good humour. It is pleasing to know that many of the staff have worked there for many years allowing the continuity and familiar faces that are important to the service users for their happiness and well-being. Thanks to all concerned.

My Aunt would not be living if she hadn't received the excellent care and attention the staff of Almond View give. I am kept informed of my Aunt's situation on a regular basis.
I have complete faith in the staff who are responsible for her. Their professionalism speaks for itself.
Additionally, there
is continuity of carers, giving reassurance to the 'patient' and family alike.

Almond View Care Home is well maintained, clean, bright and welcoming. The staff at all levels seem genuinely interested in the residents and are friendly and approachable. The food appears to be good and there seems to be plenty of organised activities. I am kept informed of my relation's health and
well being and have the opportunity to attend meetings to review her needs.

My mother is well cared for and the staff seem to be very attentive. She has not been able to enjoy all the facilities to the full extent due to increasing dementia, but in calm phases, she is quite happy.

Mum has been very well looked after by all the staff at Almond View. She has settled really well.


Gardens around the home are lovely for relaxing in when the weather is good.

My dad has been in Almond View since 18th May 2017. Dad has settled in reasonably well, he has had a few upsets that are down to his health issues. The staff are getting to know my dad. We, as a family, are very pleased with the care and support given to him and us, his wife, son and daughter.

My Mum Spent her last 6 Months in Almond View and I and all my family have nothing but the utmost praise for the Staff and Management of the home. And she felt at home my mum was easy to love and love her they did.
She was very happy here and loved all the staff back I am sure they will miss her songs.

This home has treated my mother for the last 18 months or so. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this care home to anybody at all. The staff are very friendly and they all get to know what my mum likes and dislikes. They get to know her little habits from food to clothes. My mum is always
clean and her clothes all matching. The organisation within the home is very good. As you can gather, I cannot say anything other than praise the staff for looking after my mum so well. My heartfelt thanks must go to all the staff.

My mother has dementia.
On the whole, she feels fairly secure in the care home and adequately supported by the staff.
She is always clean and appears well cared for.
She enjoys the social activities, particularly music and singing but doesn't feel there is enough to fill the day and very often is
bored.
Would enjoy more interaction with the staff but they are generally too busy.

My father hasn't been in the care home for long (almost two months). To date, myself and other family members are unable to find any fault with the facilities, staff or care home itself. I'm sure if any issues were to arise, these could be discussed with care staff and responded to appropriately.
There
have been improvements in my father compared to how he was in his previous environment. I believe these changes are largely due to staff input at Almond View. Well done, and keep up the good work!

Very thorough with a lot of input from the social worker. Questions put to my mother asking her opinion on everything from food to how often showering takes place to the care given from staff.

Lovely, friendly atmosphere within the care home with welcoming staff. Rooms are a good size and families are welcome to personalise rooms to make them more homely and comfortable. The Care provided is of a good standard. Care commission reports have been consistently good and back this up.

My father has been in this care home for 15 months now. He is very happy there, although he would obviously rather be at home, but sadly that is just not possible.
The care and nursing staff are very good and quickly got to know his likes and dislikes and his wee ways. They are so good with him. There
are activities almost every day and the Activity Coordinator works very hard to try to find something that will interest everyone, which is not easy. Most of the residents are fond of music and there are also quizzes. I know that the Activity Coordinator constantly tries to find new things to stimulate the residents and has lately started to give them simple arithmetic and crosswords. They try so hard. I would highly recommend this Care Home.

My relative has settled into home very well and has a great rapport with staff, the care given by staff is excellent and all staff are very friendly, and professional. Food seems good. The only down side is that there is not a wider range of activities.

My Mother has been a resident for 6 months and overall I am happy with the service provided, particularly with regard to the staff who work hard looking after the residents. Like any organisation there is always room for improvement, I feel that more attention could be given to providing activities
and stimulus to the residents.

Michelle is a qualified Adult General Nurse (BSC adult nursing), also holding a Care Services Leadership and Management Qualification.


Michelle has worked in care homes for the past 14 years and joined Almond View in July 2023.
She is very passionate about care of older adults and enriching the lives of our residents whilst ensuring the highest standards of care, and also have special interests in Dementia and palliative care.
