Mum moved here after a not so nice time at a previous home and we immediately noticed a difference. Almond view is so much more professional and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. I rest easy knowing mum is in good hands.

My brother was in this home for the last five and a half months. We were impressed with his room and the facilities of the home but what really makes it special was the caring and attentive staff, always ready with a smile and a chat.
The activities coordinator was friendly and very enthusiastic about her great ideas for keeping everyone engaged which was quite difficult with my brother as he was quite a loner in the beginning. He soon became friendly with all the staff who used to joke and have a laugh with him. They all passed the time of day and treated him with kindness and respect.
Staff and nurses have all been so warm-hearted, friendly and solicitous. A special mention to one nurse in particular who is the kindest and compassionate nurse we could hope to meet.

We are so glad we picked this care home for my brother and can’t thank them enough for making his life so contented.

My mother has been a resident for the past 7 months and my wife and I are very pleased with her care. Almond View is within walking distance of our home which makes it a very good choice for us. My mother is also pleased with the staff and the facilities offered. She is 101 years of age!

My uncle has been a resident of Almond View for nearly two years, and I have been able to witness at close hand the quality of care he has received in that time. I have to praise all the staff for their hard work and for the kindness they show when engaging with my uncle and all the other residents. There is a genuine feeling of community within the home, which is fostered by the staff, and it is a great comfort to me knowing that my uncle is in an environment where he safe, treated with dignity and respect and, most importantly, where he is happy. The staff deserve great credit for their efforts, and I cannot thank them enough.

Mum's home for the last four and a half years of her life was Almond View. From the start, she was impressed with her room and the facilities but what really made it special was the caring and attentive staff, always ready with a smile, a hello and a wee chat.
The activities coordinator was warm, welcoming and very enthusiast about all her great ideas for keeping everyone entertained.
I have been very happy with the kind, friendly and positive attitude shown by all of the staff, some of whom were even familiar with mum's extended family!

Staff and nurses always showed kindness and understanding and kept us fully informed of mum's well being. Office staff have been amazingly helpful throughout, I and all of our family very much appreciate the care and companionship that mum enjoyed.

My mother has been in this care home for a number of years now and I've never had to complain or criticise about anything.
I've always found the home to be clean and warm. The staff have been friendly and always seem to be caring for the residents when we are there.
The cost of the home is not cheap but on par with other homes, which I don't feel match the standards.

All in all, please keep up your standards and avoid raising the costs.

My Aunt was in this care home for a number of years. I often asked her if she was happy with the home and she always gave a positive answer. Being the person that handled all her finances I was extremely happy with the efficiency of the accounts staff.

Overall Experience

Almond View is a very well run care home. Management, office, nurses, carers, cleaning, laundry, kitchen, activities coordinator and maintenance are efficient, friendly, helpful and caring. The care given is of a very high standard as is the food. The staff know my husband well and tend to his needs accordingly. Meals are varied and nutritious. The service users are given plenty of fluids. The manager is always happy to discuss anything regarding my husband's care, equally, she is available for a friendly chat with me. The home, the bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and always smell fresh. I can understand why this care home has been given a high rating by the care inspectorate. The staff are to be commended for their professionalism, caring nature and good humour. It is pleasing to know that many of the staff have worked there for many years allowing the continuity and familiar faces that are important to the service users for their happiness and well-being. Thanks to all concerned.

My Aunt would not be living if she hadn't received the excellent care and attention the staff of Almond View give. I am kept informed of my Aunt's situation on a regular basis.
I have complete faith in the staff who are responsible for her. Their professionalism speaks for itself.

Additionally, there is continuity of carers, giving reassurance to the 'patient' and family alike.

My mother is well cared for and the staff seem to be very attentive. She has not been able to enjoy all the facilities to the full extent due to increasing dementia, but in calm phases, she is quite happy.

Almond View Care Home is well maintained, clean, bright and welcoming. The staff at all levels seem genuinely interested in the residents and are friendly and approachable. The food appears to be good and there seems to be plenty of organised activities. I am kept informed of my relation's health and well being and have the opportunity to attend meetings to review her needs.

My dad has been in Almond View since 18th May 2017. Dad has settled in reasonably well, he has had a few upsets that are down to his health issues. The staff are getting to know my dad. We, as a family, are very pleased with the care and support given to him and us, his wife, son and daughter.

This home has treated my mother for the last 18 months or so. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this care home to anybody at all. The staff are very friendly and they all get to know what my mum likes and dislikes. They get to know her little habits from food to clothes. My mum is always clean and her clothes all matching. The organisation within the home is very good. As you can gather, I cannot say anything other than praise the staff for looking after my mum so well. My heartfelt thanks must go to all the staff.

My mother has dementia.
On the whole, she feels fairly secure in the care home and adequately supported by the staff.
She is always clean and appears well cared for.
She enjoys the social activities, particularly music and singing but doesn't feel there is enough to fill the day and very often is bored.

Would enjoy more interaction with the staff but they are generally too busy.

My father hasn't been in the care home for long (almost two months). To date, myself and other family members are unable to find any fault with the facilities, staff or care home itself. I'm sure if any issues were to arise, these could be discussed with care staff and responded to appropriately.

There have been improvements in my father compared to how he was in his previous environment. I believe these changes are largely due to staff input at Almond View. Well done, and keep up the good work!

Very thorough with a lot of input from the social worker. Questions put to my mother asking her opinion on everything from food to how often showering takes place to the care given from staff.

Lovely, friendly atmosphere within the care home with welcoming staff. Rooms are a good size and families are welcome to personalise rooms to make them more homely and comfortable. The Care provided is of a good standard. Care commission reports have been consistently good and back this up.
