My mum appears to be very settled at Abbey Court, by comparison to her previous residency in hospital. She is generally in good spirits anytime I am with her or speaking to her, despite Covid restrictions over the last 1.5 years. Staff are generally very helpful and welcoming during any engagements I have had.

Abbey Court is a very well organised Care Home. Staff are extremely caring and look after the residents to a high standard. Covid 19 has been very challenging for everyone but Abbey Court managed to keep everyone safe and well with hard work and exceptional commitment and following guidance to the letter to keep the virus out of the home.
They have managed to deal with the challenges of family members due to visiting regulations but now things are much better.

I couldn’t ask for a better or safer place for my Aunt to live and be cared for as it is difficult for me to see her but I know she is very well cared for.

Despite this ongoing pandemic the management and staff of Abbey Court have gone above and beyond to support not only the residents but the families. They continue to keep residents stimulated and have put in place safe indoor and outdoor visits allowing and encouraging family contact.

Gran's care has been amazing, all through the pandemic we have been kept up to date with pictures, video calls, essential visits, etc. They started indoor visits in March and it has all gone perfectly smoothly, the staff have organised it brilliantly and any other relatives we have spoken to feel the same. The home has done so much through all the covid mess and kept everyone happy and healthy.

My mum is extremely happy with the care home. All of the staff provide a high standard of care, they go above and beyond for the residents and really care about them. The home itself is clean, nicely furnished and spacious. The food provided is of a good standard and they are accommodating to people’s needs. There is some form of activity on most days and staff try to motivate residents to join in.

Overall, I’d certainly recommend here for anyone looking for somewhere for a family member and I can’t thank the staff enough for their care.

The staff and management at Abbey Court all work tirelessly to support and care for their extremely vulnerable residents. They have remained upbeat throughout this very difficult time. The level of communication that they have provided to relatives has been great and very much appreciated. I am more than confident that my 100 year old gran is being well cared for. The whole staff team deserve praise for there efforts. They are doing a wonderful job.

I am so glad that the management were proactive in postponing visits due to the on going Covid-19 very early on which has prevented any cases amongst the residents as seen in other homes. The staff have also been great in setting up ways of communicating with relatives throughout this time.

Excellent care given by a very friendly, competent team who treat the residents with extremely good attention. The staff/carers have a fantastic rapport with residents, finding ways to stimulate them and include them in events. Abbey Court care home is spotlessly clean and comfortable and my aunt is always well dressed and colour co-ordinated in fresh clothing. My aunt has missed her own home and her late husband but has settled really well having raved about the food and homemade cakes etc. She has said its as good as the hotel. Abbey Carers are an excellent team, giving excellent care, even more so now they are in Lockdown due to the risks of Coronavirus. The videos are keeping family in touch with their loved ones, allowing us to see the activities they are participating in. Keep up the excellent work, the deputy manager and the team. Thank you.

This has obviously been such a stressful time for the family so I can only imagine how my mother-in-law feels. But I can honestly say I’ve never seen her look so happy in the photos and videos that have been posted online, which I know is a great comfort to my husband, my sister-in-law and my kids, especially my 13-year-old daughter.
It’s a great comfort that she is among people who really care and who are trying their hardest at such an uncertain time.

I applaud you.

My mother had been a resident at Abbey Court for almost a year now. I cannot express fully how happy I am with the care and attention she has received to date. The management and staff alike have been extremely supportive of me and my mum which has made the transition a lot less traumatic. It isn’t like any other care home I have either worked in or visited. It has a very warm and familial feel and it is very person-centred. Some days mum just wants a duvet day and this is accommodated. I tell her it’s a hotel and she agrees that the service is great. Thanks for making what was an extremely difficult decision a lot easier and very reassuring.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting my Father who recently joined the Abbey family. As we all know it’s not easy seeing our parents decline and even harder when they have to be placed in a home. Unfortunately, I do not stay in the area, so I had reservations about this new journey my Dad was taking. I can not say anything negative. I saw how sweet, caring, compassionate and extremely funny staff members. I was able to participate in sing songs and play dominos with the staff and residents. I watched how they interacted with not just my Dad but with other residents, again I couldn’t fault them. The response of the residents to the staff members was positive too. I have no fear of my Dad ever being hungry or thirsty with the amount of tea and biscuits consumed. I tasted the food too and it was delicious. Thank you for in a matter of hours putting my Dads pictures up and to All the girls thank you so much for all you do and for sending me pictures of my Dad this itself is such a bonus.
