Abbey Court completely changed my opinion of care homes. Not only did everyone treat my gran with dignity and respect but they were also warm, friendly and caring. From the management to the staff team I cannot fault the rapport they built with my family which helped with the decision to move gran into the care home. The facilities and activities are stimulating and appropriate for the residents, seeing my gran have such great times filled my heart with joy. I would definitely recommend Abbey Court to anyone looking for the care they do an exceptional job.

My wife and I visited several homes looking for a place for her elderly mother. We were getting a little despondent at the atmosphere and quality of some of the homes we visited as some were quite oppressive. Then we found Abbey Court. The approach road to the home might not be overly appealing but once you step inside the home you are immediately impressed by the quality of decor, cleanliness, atmosphere, and professionalism and friendliness of the staff. This home stands head and shoulders above the others we viewed and comes highly recommended. The care and attention given to the residents is second to none and in the case of my wife's mother, the improvement to her health and well being was noticeable after one week. She settled in quickly and has got her zest for life back with a range of activities to keep her active and a well-balanced diet - although a fussy eater she speaks highly of the quality and variety of food on offer. Who could ask for more?

My mother was placed in an interim home when discharged from hospital following a period of illness. This was a difficult time and she did not settle at all wanting to return home every time I visited her. After looking at several different care homes, I was immediately impressed by Abbey Court the moment I walked through the door. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed. The staff friendly, professional, and caring. My mother speaks highly of the care she was now receiving and the requests to get home evaporated. Her whole attitude changed thanks to the excellent care she was now receiving and the activities and facilities on hand to keep her occupied. Home from home. A combination of freedom to make choices just as though she was in her own home, the friendly atmosphere and companionship she enjoys, and the quality and choice of food available, have all contributed to a significant improvement in her well being and happiness. If you are looking for a five-star care home - this is it!

Staff are brilliant always happy to help and support you if needed. The home is spotlessly clean the residents are the number one priority every staff member interact with all the residents and their families there are plenty of activities arranged within the home and residents are taken to clubs out with the home if they want to go.
I never wanted my dad to go into a care home but I have absolute faith in these people that my dad is being looked after 100% and ultimately if he’s happy then I am too.

For anybody that’s contemplating going down the route of placing a loved one in this kind of facility I urge you to go view this one as you won’t be disappointed

This care home is outstanding you are made so welcome as soon as you go through the door, nothing is too much for the staff and we are greeted with a friendly face, tea, coffee and cake. The place is spotless, food excellent, management and staff go beyond their call of duty help and assist you in any way they can, this is the way all care homes should be it's like a home from home so happy my husband had such good care with excellent caring staff. I have no problem recommending this excellent home.

The care my husband received during a few days respite stay at Abbeycourt was excellent. The staff were very caring and keen to tailor the support and care to make my husband feel at home during his stay, and the level of comfort and standard of the rooms is like a hotel rather than a care home. The food was fantastic and again the staff were very attentive in asking about my husband's likes and tastes, and he thoroughly enjoyed all the meals during his stay. I would definitely recommend for respite as Abbeycourt excels all round!

As soon as I visited Abbey Court I knew that Mum would learn to love it once settled. The staff are brilliant, very caring and patient with Mum and other residents. It was great that Mum could bring her personal possessions - her furniture and pictures have really helped her settle in. Abbey Court has the highest standards in cleanliness, fantastic décor (Mum's room is beautiful) and the spacious, bright living room and dining room are stunning. It's always a pleasure for me to visit Mum and chat with her and other residents and staff and hear about how they enjoy their varied activities. The food is amazing, which Mum loves and I always find the atmosphere very positive, with lots of humour and it's very much a happy environment. I could not have wished for any more for Mum. It's very comforting to know that Mum is really safe, keeps well and is cared for 24/7 by the amazing staff and management. This is an excellent place of care and I would highly recommend Abbey Court.

Got a real home from home feel about this home when we first visited, my gran needed a week's respite and after viewing a few other places we knew this was perfect. We arranged a visit for a Wednesday and the manager asked us to call on Tuesday to let them know what we wanted for lunch, the food was amazing we had a great time and did not feel like we were visiting a care home, my gran settled in quickly and we enjoyed a much-needed break, she was so content and couldn’t praise the staff highly enough, she would love to come back again and the staff have said we can visit anytime even just for lunch and a chat, top marks to all involved.

I was amazed by this home, I helped look after my neighbour for years and she was always very down, moving into Abbey Court has given her a new lease of life, the staff are fantastic and the home looks like a hotel. She is so happy and her family are delighted.
