Abbey Court is a care community providing the highest level of feelings-based care and support to up to 50 residents.

Care is tailored to suit the individual needs of all who choose to live at the home.

Staff will commit to you from the day you move in and do their best to ensure your stay is as fruitful and meaningful as possible.

The Home is extremely spacious throughout, all rooms are bigger than current standards with most rooms able to cater for couples if they wish to stay together. The four lounge/dining areas are relaxing and homely with plenty of natural light from the large windows. There are also gorgeous landscaped garden areas which are safe for residents to walk safely and there is seating throughout the garden for 69 people. There is also a large greenhouse for planting.

All meals are prepared on site (unless it is a themed takeaway night).

The Home has a ground-breaking Infection Control Policy which greatly reduces the chances of infection breaking out and reduces the chance of spreading if it does.

There is high speed Wi-Fi throughout the home. They are the first home in Scotland to install infra-red fall detection monitoring into their bedrooms to greatly enhance the safety of residents. So far they have 12 units installed and will soon be adding to cover all 50 bedrooms.

Abbey Court was the Winner of the Regional Care Home of the Year - Scotland award 2021 at the Caring UK Awards, and the Manager was 'Highly Recommended' in the Care Manager of the Year awards 2024 run by Stars of Social Care.

Abbey Court is contracted with Local Authorities and they accept local authority funding as well as self funding residents.

There are Daily Activities, weekly church service, bi-weekly exercise classes from an outside company, regular visits from the local nurseries and primary schools, theme nights, entertainment nights/days, quiet spaces for reading and relaxing.

Abbey Court completely changed my opinion of care homes. Not only did everyone treat my gran with dignity and respect but they were also warm, friendly and caring. From the management to the staff team I cannot fault the rapport they built with my family which helped with the decision to move gran into
the care home. The facilities and activities are stimulating and appropriate for the residents, seeing my gran have such great times filled my heart with joy. I would definitely recommend Abbey Court to anyone looking for the care they do an exceptional job.

My wife and I visited several homes looking for a place for her elderly mother. We were getting a little despondent at the atmosphere and quality of some of the homes we visited as some were quite oppressive. Then we found Abbey Court. The approach road to the home might not be overly appealing but
once you step inside the home you are immediately impressed by the quality of decor, cleanliness, atmosphere, and professionalism and friendliness of the staff. This home stands head and shoulders above the others we viewed and comes highly recommended. The care and attention given to the residents is second to none and in the case of my wife's mother, the improvement to her health and well being was noticeable after one week. She settled in quickly and has got her zest for life back with a range of activities to keep her active and a well-balanced diet - although a fussy eater she speaks highly of the quality and variety of food on offer. Who could ask for more?

My mother was placed in an interim home when discharged from hospital following a period of illness. This was a difficult time and she did not settle at all wanting to return home every time I visited her. After looking at several different care homes, I was immediately impressed by Abbey Court the
moment I walked through the door. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed. The staff friendly, professional, and caring. My mother speaks highly of the care she was now receiving and the requests to get home evaporated. Her whole attitude changed thanks to the excellent care she was now receiving and the activities and facilities on hand to keep her occupied. Home from home. A combination of freedom to make choices just as though she was in her own home, the friendly atmosphere and companionship she enjoys, and the quality and choice of food available, have all contributed to a significant improvement in her well being and happiness. If you are looking for a five-star care home - this is it!

Staff are brilliant always happy to help and support you if needed. The home is spotlessly clean the residents are the number one priority every staff member interact with all the residents and their families there are plenty of activities arranged within the home and residents are taken to clubs out
with the home if they want to go.
I never wanted my dad to go into a care home but I have absolute faith in these people that my dad is being looked after 100% and ultimately if he’s happy then I am too.
For anybody that’s contemplating going down the route of placing a loved one in this kind of facility I urge you to go view this one as you won’t be disappointed

This care home is outstanding you are made so welcome as soon as you go through the door, nothing is too much for the staff and we are greeted with a friendly face, tea, coffee and cake. The place is spotless, food excellent, management and staff go beyond their call of duty help and assist you in any
way they can, this is the way all care homes should be it's like a home from home so happy my husband had such good care with excellent caring staff. I have no problem recommending this excellent home.

The care my husband received during a few days respite stay at Abbeycourt was excellent. The staff were very caring and keen to tailor the support and care to make my husband feel at home during his stay, and the level of comfort and standard of the rooms is like a hotel rather than a care home. The
food was fantastic and again the staff were very attentive in asking about my husband's likes and tastes, and he thoroughly enjoyed all the meals during his stay. I would definitely recommend for respite as Abbeycourt excels all round!

As soon as I visited Abbey Court I knew that Mum would learn to love it once settled. The staff are brilliant, very caring and patient with Mum and other residents. It was great that Mum could bring her personal possessions - her furniture and pictures have really helped her settle in. Abbey Court has
the highest standards in cleanliness, fantastic décor (Mum's room is beautiful) and the spacious, bright living room and dining room are stunning. It's always a pleasure for me to visit Mum and chat with her and other residents and staff and hear about how they enjoy their varied activities. The food is amazing, which Mum loves and I always find the atmosphere very positive, with lots of humour and it's very much a happy environment. I could not have wished for any more for Mum. It's very comforting to know that Mum is really safe, keeps well and is cared for 24/7 by the amazing staff and management. This is an excellent place of care and I would highly recommend Abbey Court.

I was amazed by this home, I helped look after my neighbour for years and she was always very down, moving into Abbey Court has given her a new lease of life, the staff are fantastic and the home looks like a hotel. She is so happy and her family are delighted.

Got a real home from home feel about this home when we first visited, my gran needed a week's respite and after viewing a few other places we knew this was perfect. We arranged a visit for a Wednesday and the manager asked us to call on Tuesday to let them know what we wanted for lunch, the food was
amazing we had a great time and did not feel like we were visiting a care home, my gran settled in quickly and we enjoyed a much-needed break, she was so content and couldn’t praise the staff highly enough, she would love to come back again and the staff have said we can visit anytime even just for lunch and a chat, top marks to all involved.
