When visiting observe Dad is very settled. He seems to have a good experience of lovely care. He has had nice experiences with some activity with good caring staff. He says he enjoys food choices & has remarked on getting great attention to needs of personal care. He is treated with respect. HIs room is well kept. The staff are always on hand & helpful. Even dad's complex needs it is very good to know he is being looked after well. This gives us peace of mind.

My husband has been in Darnley for nearly 6 years, he has settled in great. Brian loves to spend time in the lounge, where it is a calm environment. Staff treat Brian very well and respects him. Overall Brian is happy to stay at Darnley Court and is happy to call it home.

My brother has lived here for 2 years and can be difficult to deal with. But, from what I have seen, the staff do their best to make his stay here as pleasant as possible. Although he wont engage much, the staff try to keep him involved as much as they can.

We haven't seen or heard of any activities in the garden, in good weather it would be nice if the could enjoy being outside.

Family is made to feel very welcome and any queries are heard and sorted.

My friend needs assistance to dress/toilet/feed herself. Furthermore, she currently has a broken arm in plaster, which means she is even more incapacitated. My friend needs assistance to dress/toilet/feed herself. Furthermore, she currently has a broken arm in plaster, which means she is even more incapacitated. There was no staff available to assist her at lunch time, as the 3 staff members in the dining room were helping other patients. My friend's room was dirty, it needed swept, cleaned and polished. There was a half-empty cup with coffee at least a day old sitting on the table. A staff member was shouting at a patient, tell him to stop shouting!
The service provided in the home is excellent. My sister is very well looked after. The facilities are great. As a family, we are always made to feel very welcome. The staff are extremely professional but also friendly.

My mum has received excellent care at Darnley Court in the specialist Carmichael unit. Despite my mum's strong personality, the staff have been amazing, kind-hearted and patient. I will forever be grateful that Mum found a home here.
