Darnley Court Care Home, located in the thriving community of Glasgow, provides personalised nursing and nursing dementia care to older people.

My mum has been a resident at Darnley Care Home since 2021. I cannot fault the staff who have looked after her. I am always kept updated via phone calls which is very helpful as I do not live locally and am unable to visit as regularly as I would like to. The care home is, at present undergoing a major
refurbishment. Although a bit of an upheaval at present, it will make this care home even better!

Excellent home. Always clean. Looking forward to seeing it when it’s been all done up as it’s a bit tired. Lovely staff, always welcoming and happy. Meals are lovely. Staff always go above and beyond.

Darnley Court and the staff within the home provide my mum with excellent, consistent care. Everyone knows my mum and what she likes and dislikes. As a family, we are very happy with the support she receives. Communication with the family is first class and we are always called if Mum is under the weather.

I am happy and confident that my mum is being cared for well. The staff all interact with her and involve her in lots of activities. She is happy when I visit her and seems content even though her dementia is quite advanced. Her health and well-being seem to be very important to all the staff members
and they contact me regularly to keep me updated with my mum's care. There is a nice laughter-filled atmosphere in the home when I visit which helps me too. I've not had any contact with management.

Since my mum moved into the home, I can't fault the care and attention she is receiving. It's first class. The home staff are always making sure the residents are ok. Would recommend this home.

Since she has moved to this home from another home, she seems more settled. The staff make sure she is always clean and tidy. There are lots of activities to keep the resident's minds active. Her room is clean and very bright. The staff are very attentive and assist all of her needs. Would highly recommend

Stopped me from seeing mum, waiting on a reply from a complaint I put in, haven't seen mum in 3 weeks, phoned care commission, but they can't do anything until the complaint is heard. Will be getting in touch with them again soon if nothing is done. Staff meant to welcome you, not judge, next time I
will be naming staff. Too much power in their heads. The police will be phoned if I don't get to see mum soon.

Thank you to all the staff for making my dad’s birthday special. His room was dressed in Birthday banners and a cake was baked in his name. My dad really enjoyed his day. The staff were very attentive and very much appreciated.

My father-in-law has been in Darnley Court Care Home for four weeks. He has settled in well and appears contented. All the staff I have met are very friendly, attentive and know my father-in-law and his needs. My husband and I are very pleased with the care he is receiving.

Literally appalling. As my Gran was shouting "help" I was told, "you need to leave, you aren't a close relative".
My Gran is very ill and has dementia. Literally expecting her to pass soon. I asked for someone to take her to the toilet (my Gran was asking for this) and the employee was more interested
in getting me out of the premises. On leaving she told me I had to phone 24 hours in advance next time! One - she should have told me that when I phoned this morning - and considering it is unlikely my Gran will survive 24 hours I think she should at least consider some common sense. I have now also discovered that no one took my Gran to the toilet. My Brother who went in after me, had to go and ask for help. Only for him to have got into trouble for leaving the room. Also - they left my Gran a cup of tea and a biscuit. My Gran is so weak she can only take a tenth of a teaspoon of liquid at a time. What on earth are these people thinking?

The family is very grateful for the care and attention given to my brother. He seems to be accepting of the routine in Darnley Court Care Home. The food he seems to be happy with that too, although I don't think he joins in activities because he isn't a very sociable man. In all, we know that he is
safe and being cared for where I couldn't do so at home.

Overall, we are very happy with the care that my mother receives in Darnley Court. Staff are very attentive and respectful. The only thing I would say is that now and again my mother says that some staff can be a bit cheeky with her. Other than that, we are very happy.

I would recommend, if anyone who wanted to keep their relatives safe and well and to be looked after, to think about Darnley Court Care Home. Our father is our Dad again; he is happy to be around his friends, and the staff are so accommodating. We can leave Dad in safe hands, and we know if our Dad
wasn't happy, he would let us know. He always says, "I have everything".
