Thank you for your very positive feedback about Darnley Court and I am very sorry that there has been any issue with ironing. I will follow up with the laundry staff and hopefully you will see this improve.
Thank you for your feedback and please be assured that we have an ongoing refurbishment programme at Darnley Court but due to the current pandemic this has been limited. We are currently using the ‘Sunshine’ project to develop our living spaces and several bedrooms including your relatives has been part of this process. As restrictions ease we will continue to take steps in developing our environment for the benefit of all residents.
Thank you for your kind feedback on our care and treatment of your wife.
We are very sorry that your Father’s jacket went missing in May 2019, on the day he left he moved to a permanent home. At the time it was raised, we contacted his new home to ask them to look for it as we could clearly recall that he was wearing the jacket as he left. However, you raised a very good point about property lists, and since then we do complete these on discharge as well as on admission.
Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and I am very sorry that you felt the care your Gran received was below standard. I have investigated the issues you have raised and can reassure you that the bruising was present on admission. The missing clothes were located and labelled, these had been misplaced due to not being labelled before going to the laundry. Prior to admission, your Gran was assessed as a high falls risk but bed rails would not be appropriate, she did roll from bed on three occasions without injury and family were contacted as on admission you requested to be informed of any changes to care at any time of the day or night. Staff found that your Gran responded better if they spoke into her ear and she would become distressed with raised voices and I can confirm that a nurse did ask you to stop shouting.
