Mum has recently moved to Darnley Court. The staff and management teams have gone above and beyond to show the highest level of caring support to mum and also to us as her family. It has been an emotional journey as mum settles in during the Covid pandemic, however, we know mum is in expert hands and
the primary focus in the Beaton unit is the welfare and care of their residents. I would fully recommend Darnley Court to anyone considering a care home for their family member.

Absolutely delighted with the care taken on every count eg accommodation of room, food and service on every occasion. Wonderful staff. Every request treated with understanding and I recommend to any potential resident who could not be pleased with the service on every account by a well-trained staff.

I have enjoyed my time here and the staff have always been helpful and reassuring. Missing hairdresser and family visits due to Covid. Staff are always encouraging and respectful and there is always food available.

I am as happy as I can be that my Dad has settled in Darnley Court Care Home. We had used other care homes in the area for respite reasons but they were not suitable and not a patch on Darnley. I always find the staff friendly and Dad is very comfortable with them.

I love the home and the staff. The staff is very friendly. Management is very understanding and friendly. Can't complain about anything. Just would like Dad's shirts ironed.

I have always found the care home to be of a high standard. Staff on Seaton are excellent, as are all staff I encounter in the home. My mother has been here over 2 yrs and is getting the best of care. Very well managed home. Doing an incredible job at this very difficult time.

The overall care my wife is receiving, I'm very happy with. The staff and management are doing a wonderful job, the only criticism I have is the seats and furniture are past their best.

My brother is very happy staying here. He is very well looked after. The care home provides good care and attention to him, he is very happy with the standard of food. The care home has a good standard of cleanliness and the staff are very nice. My experience is that he is treated with care and respect

Due to the Coronavirus, it has been understandably impossible to visit my aunt but the generosity of staff allowing residents to use their own personal iPads to allow me to chat with my aunt face to face has been remarkable but not unsurprising.
I have chatted with activity staff and they seem to be
managing quite a few of these regularly.
I always felt during my visits that the staff all work very hard and always seem to be busy, but never too busy to keep the residents happy.
A big thumbs up from me.

I have been looked after very well for the time I have been here in the care home. Nurses are hard workers and food is good. My wounds and bandages were changed at the correct times and days, deep baths were available when needed and a special mattress for my back was supplied. Security was also good
through the night and morning.

My Dad was in here temporary. On the day he moved home; his expensive jacket went missing. There was no list of his possessions done. He has dementia. In his new care home; they listed all his possessions. Professional.

We are very sorry that your Father’s jacket went missing in May 2019, on the day he left he moved to a permanent home. At the time it was raised, we contacted his new home to ask them to look for it as we could clearly recall that he was wearing the jacket as he left. However, you raised a very good point about property lists, and since then we do complete these on discharge as well as on admission.

I am absolutely furious, my gran came into this home on the 27th of December and passed away yesterday the 17th of January. From the day she entered she was treated terribly. She is extremely deaf and we were told to keep our voices down and to stop shouting, her clothes had all disappeared, she had
a bruise on her face, was left in her bed with no bottoms on, she managed to cut her own foot with her nail... my gran could hardly pick up her own cup let alone get down to her foot to scratch it!
Do not recommend this place at all. The dementia manager obviously does not know what’s going on, we were called at least four times in the duration of her stay to be told she had fallen - four times - absolute disgrace.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and I am very sorry that you felt the care your Gran received was below standard. I have investigated the issues you have raised and can reassure you that the bruising was present on admission. The missing clothes were located and labelled, these had been misplaced due to not being labelled before going to the laundry. Prior to admission, your Gran was assessed as a high falls risk but bed rails would not be appropriate, she did roll from bed on three occasions without injury and family were contacted as on admission you requested to be informed of any changes to care at any time of the day or night. Staff found that your Gran responded better if they spoke into her ear and she would become distressed with raised voices and I can confirm that a nurse did ask you to stop shouting.

I visit once or twice a year when I come to Glasgow. Over the years I continue to admire the care and support given to my aunt. She is always clean and tidy and her hair done. Staff are so courteous and helpful and attentive to her. The environment feels welcoming.

My Mum was a resident of Darley Court for a very short time but she received excellent end of life care. She was treated with dignity and respect every day.
The staff and management were excellent, always available if needed and my Mum's dietary needs were also taken care of.
I couldn't have gotten
through my Mum's final hours without the home manager.
I would recommend Darnley Court to anyone looking to for a safe and comfortable place for their loved ones.

This is a wonderful care home and there is a great atmosphere all around. All staff are happy to help. The manager is wonderful and you can tell she takes great pride in her care home. The manager is also very hands-on and is happy to help.
